Private waterfront cottage on Malaspina Strait
2 chambres, 1 1/2 salle de bains (douche uniquement) chalet entièrement meublé sur propriété privée de 2 acres 1 km au sud des limites de la ville et 4 km du centre ville. Complétez avec literie, serviettes, accessoires de cuisine complets, TV, internet, WIFI, barbecue et balcon. Randonnée pédestre, vélo, sentiers VTT à distance de marche. Terrain de golf à environ 3 km. Accès à la plage pour les kayaks, les canots et la natation.
Convient aux petits enfants. Nous acceptons les animaux de compagnie sur demande.
Le chalet n'est pas accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite.

Quiet and peaceful. The scenery from the rocky beach was gorgeous. It was lovely to sit on the logs and just take it all in.
The cottage had everything we needed. Hosts Don & Sylvia very friendly and helpful.

Both of us truly loved watching the eagles and ravens playing together every morning, the seals swimming by and just everything about the cottage and location.

This is a lovely cottage with lots of amenities including very convenient laundry facilities. It was too cold, rainy and windy to really enjoy the waterfront location but would like to return in nicer weather. Our only problem was getting the TV to work properly but Sylvia tried her best to help with that.

Our hosts, Don and Sylvia were so gracious and down to earth we felt we knew them for a very long time , not just 5 days. The cottage was charming, homey and had everything one could possibly ask for. The beach front location awesome. We felt as one with nature high in the tree tops with eagles and other birds. Can't say enough good things about our wonderful getaway. Have already made arrangements to come back in the fall.

We stay one week at Sylvias Cottage. We have a relaxed time. Eveything was as described and shown on the photos. Our expectation was satisfied. We enjoy the deck and the opportunity to go down to the beach. Sylvia was available if required. We would like to come back.

We really enjoyed walking down to the beach and finding clams, oysters, and little crabs. The house close to the city of Powell river and we enjoyed many beautiful hikes in the area. The property was quiet and the house had everything we needed inside. We loved the area and can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at Don and Sylvia's place in mid-July - it was wonderful! A true escape from our busy lives, we're finally coming back from a vacation feeling relaxed. We had a wonderful time exploring the many lakes, the great food and mountain biking trails - and - just chilling on the lovely deck overlooking the ocean. We are looking forward to visiting again in future!

We stayed at this cottage for three nights, a small anniversary getaway. It was perfect! So nice to be able to look out the front windows onto the ocean. So nice to have that sense of solitude and deep quiet, yet 10 minutes from Powell River shopping. We enjoy cooking, and found the kitchen was very well equipped for our cooking style, with good quality pots and pans, sharp knives, a gas stove, and a variety of coffee-making appliances!
Sylvia and Don live nearby and were always attentive, responding quickly to any requests we made (and there were a few!) yet otherwise leaving us to enjoy the privacy of the cottage and waterfront.
We definitely intend to stay here again in future, when heading to the Sunshine Coast.

Sylvia and Don were amazing hosts! My husband and I stayed with our 19 year old and our large dog. We all felt welcomed and were incredibly comfortable in Sylvia’s cozy cabin. It was perfect for relaxing and exploring beautiful Powell River. The view and beach access were amazing, even in December. We will definitely return!

This cabin is exactly as described: beautiful views, easy access to the beach, great access to many outdoor activities in Powell River. Sylvia & Don are amazing hosts- provided us with great recommendations for things to do, and local restaurants. I highly recommend!

This Cabin in the woods is the perfect spot to come and unwind. More like a house, it was easily large enough for our family of 4 plus dog and very nicely reno'ed. The huge deck out front overlooking the salish sea is amazing, and being surrounded by evergreens gives a truly woodsy feel. Will be booking again for another trip to PR. Highly recommend!

Sylvia provided everything I could need for my 9 month old, which allowed alot more space in the car. We loved the ocean view for our meals. 2 styles of bed mattress, 1 soft 1 a little harder. Great balance.

We had a very peaceful weekend at this cottage. It is a one level, two bedroom suite with nice views of the ocean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the crazy red/orange colours of the moon! Sylvia and Don were warm and wonderful hosts. Thank you for having us!

This is such a lovely property, and a great place to escape--gorgeous views and nice steady breeze with afternoon shade during what has been a warm summer. Sylvia and her husband were both very welcoming. The kitchen is fully supplied, which made it easier to take advantage of having breakfast and dinner in the evenings on the deck. The suite is very dog friendly, and our dogs loved from which hanging out on the deck and watching the squirrels race up and down the Douglas firs.

We really just needed a quiet place to relax and call our "homebase" for hiking and exploring the beauty around us. This cozy home was perfect for that. The owners are nearby, gave us our privacy, but were lovely and accommodating when we reached out to them. We would definitely stay here again.
