The owners and the family. They made us feel part of their family. They even serve us ginger honey tea because I've lost my voice. Such beautiful people!

The access was not really comfortable

The hosts Nelson & Lea were the best! Super friendly, we also met other family members who were lovely as well. We even were invited to their Christmas Dinner! They helped us with any question and even with getting to our next stay! Very thankful for that. The rooms are super cute. Exactly as pictured. Not very big, but everything you need is there. The airconditioning made some noise, but we were very happy to have the airconditioning in the 1st place! There was a lot of rain during the days we were there, but there wasn’t any leaking in the room. The location is a 10-15 min walk to mosts bars/restaurants or you could take a motorcycle which is obviously faster. We enjoyed the walk. We would definitely recommend staying at Balay Hayahay and would come back any time! Salamat Po!

What an amazing place to stay in a great location on Siargao island. Nelson, Leia & the family (including the cute dog) are some of the most friendly, kind and welcoming people we have come across on our travels. They were always available to answer any of our questions & always had solutions. They are extremely caring & definitely make your stay a happy stay. The huts are so adorable - especially at night when they are all lit up. We loved the decor & our hot showers after our days exploring. There is a small kitchen area available if you need including hot & cold water refill’s, and a little common area for chilling. Very close to Tourism Road and everything you need for a fun time on the island. Would 100% recommend - Thankyou so much for looking after us so well!

Everyone gave a warm welcome & everyone was accommodating. The rooms were clean & the place is aesthetic

The staff was amazing! One night they invited us over for dinner which was absolutely lovely. The huts are really cozy and they have a nice common room! We would definitely visit again!

Was good value for money. Nice hosts and their adorable kids. Hostel has a cozy family feel. Was clean. Would come back.

Location was not prime, but it was okay to get around the touristy places. Moreover if you get a bike, it doesn't matter much.

Cosy little hut protect against mosquitos, the owners are lovely and clean the place with such care. The shared bathrooms are some of the best we've seen. The common area has hammocks and the kitchen is fully equipped so you can save on eating out.

Quite far from the center unless you will be riding a motorbike. Even if you do ride the property is on a dirt road with potholes so very hard to navigate and drive on especially in rainy season and floods some parts of the road. Won't be a problem if you know how to drive well.
