It is on the older side, but its quaint. It was roughly a 10 mins walk to the IGA, a little less to the beach (staright walk and a less crowded area). Our biggest issue was that the lock on the door was worn out and wouldnt lock properly. I ended up meeting Loren who is kind of like the care taker (sweet little man and sweet puppy) who came up and helped us with the door.

We have been coming here for years. This trip we had grandkids from 29 to 2yrs old.. it was great to sit on the deck and in the dock house while they fished.
Loren was perfect as aways.
When we get to old to make the trip,I'm positive the grands will keep up our tradition.

This was the perfect place to stay if you enjoy quiet and relaxation. The dock house was the perfect place to grill and enjoy with family and have game night. The walk to the beach is about 5 block, and takes about 10 minutes, it is a straight shot, but not a lot of shade. It takes you to a quieter part of the beach. The maintenance person was on sight and was so kind. He let my daughter borrow his boogie board for the beach!
One thing that may deter someone is that the air conditioning is window units. Another is that this unit is up a flight of steps. We did struggle with working the tv, but then decided not to worry about it because we were on vacation and wanted to unplug anyhow. We did not care about those things! The kitchen had a nice array of cooking supplies. The beds were comfortable. The swing set in the back provided hours of fun for our little one. There were lizards and fiddler crabs all over the place. I will be recommending this property! I will also be looking to rent it again when we choose Tybee as our vacation destination!

Cleanliness was our biggest concern - and that’s from folks who love the salt life in Georgia. This was our fourth trip to Tybee and fourth place we stayed at - this is the only one we knocked for cleanliness. Towels, pillows and comforters were dirty and stained. The shower drain was visibly clogged full of hair (also, the shower curtain liner was torn in half and a shower knob was missing). I had read in the reviews about it being warmer in the common area than the bedrooms - this was noticeably true. We kept the host’s box fan blowing in the common area to help circulate air because one of the two ceiling fans did not work. Window units in the bedrooms made temperatures able to be adjusted to comfort. Communication was also lacking with the host. I waited ~3wks then had to follow up - the host finally responded. Weeks in advance, I asked host if we could check in at 3p instead of 4p, and the host said that can be accommodated. However, when we arrived at 3p, the cleaning crew was still working - the host had told them 4p. We waited until the cleaning crew told us they were done. With negatives aside, the place served its purpose for our family. It was an easy walk to the beach, the marsh view was nice, and it had space for our kids to play outside.

The waterfront was perfect for fishing. Simple walk to the beach. Very comfortable stay!

My 2 children and I came and stayed in March for Spring Break. Very easy check in, Loren was great and answered any questions we had. We had a great time and would recommend staying. Thanks for the memories.

We’ve stayed here once before in one of the downstairs apartments, we stayed in the upstairs apartment this time. We enjoyed our stay immensely and plan to return in the future. There are a few hiccups that people should be aware of, Wi-Fi was nonexistent for our stay. We were provided 2 different mobile hotspots and neither received signal, so we were without WiFi service for our stay. Our cellphones had coverage and we were able to stay connected but be prepared that you probably won’t have streaming services and virtually no local tv channels.
Upstairs kitchen is small and somewhat cramped but provided tons of pots/pans/dishes/ glassware and appliances for cooking.
Upstairs apartment is cooled by window unit air conditioners in the 3 bedrooms. It can be insufficient to comfortably cool the living area, during hot months.
Home was clean, caretaker on site was friendly and accommodating. The dock house was a favorite place to spend the evenings on the marsh.

This is the 2nd time we have atayed here and it is perfectly amazing. Has just enough for our family of 6. Easy check in and out. Property manager responds swiftly and is super polite. We plan to stay here again next year.

The house has been updated. The beds are comfortable but the house has window units which keep the bedrooms cool but not the living areas. One ceiling fan was out so hopefully it will be replaced soon. Overall the house was perfect for us, we just left the bedroom doors open in the day that let some of the cool air into the living area which helped. The beach is about 5 blocks. And it is an easy bicycle ride to breweries, etc. we stayed here about 13 years ago when another owner owned it and boy has it been improved! Perhaps a box fan in a closet might be nice to move air out of a bedroom into the living area. Thx

This is my new favorite place to go. It is centrally located to everything, and spacious. The back deck over looking the marshland and creek is breathtaking.
I almost want to write a bad review so no one will go so it will always be available for me. But no, if you are looking for a place to stay while in Tybee. This is the place. I wish I could live here.

We were very pleased with our stay & hope to stay again. Tybee Island is really nice. This house is close to everything & having the back unit there was lots of privacy. It was so relaxing we will definitely be back.

We had a good stay with our family of four. This is tucket away off the beaten path, has a nice dock house, and offers a nice respite from the busyness of the rest of the island. This would have been a five star, great stay, if there would have been little things like hand soap, dish soap, and Kleenex. We ended up going to the island grocery store and grabbing them, so it wasn't a big deal. Overall, we had a nice time.

We began staying at this property over 10 years ago. We sort of lost track of it during Covid and were thrilled to see it was again listed albeit with new owners. It was available and we snapped it up!!
So what to say.......first of all I absolutely don't get the negative comments in some of the reviews. We arrived and were able to check in with no issues. The place was spotless. Contrary to what others have said, there was no odor (NONE), no bugs and all was clean. In fact, we were amazed at the improvements that have been made on the property. There's a new stove and fridge, new flooring and furnishings and it was nicely decorated. We had plenty of towels although we brought our own just in case. And I always bring extra dish towels as we cook while there. There were dishes, utensils, pots and pans. I typically bring my own napkins, paper towels, plastic wrap and foil just for convenience.
The property is on a beautiful marsh with a sweet boathouse. Fishing is lots of fun. Bring a minnow bucket and trap and hot dogs to bait it with and go for it!! You can't beat the views. There's a 5 minute walk to the beach. If you choose to drive, there's paid parking available. The beach is just gorgeous.
I can't say enough about this particular location and Tybee as a whole. We love it there for family vacations. The one down side from previous trips is that you MUST make dinner reservations at almost anywhere you plan to eat. We made the mistake of going to A J's for dinner. There were zero seats in the shade. We were able to do a take out which I definitely DO NOT recommend. 3 of us ended up paying $85 for a cold and mediocre meal after waiting nearly 1/2 hour to get it. Will skip this place and return to our favorite, Sunday's.
Otherwise, this was a great time away. I highly recommend this location. We had the upstairs. I was able to check out the downstairs unit where I've also stayed and was amazed at the improvements made there also. Although the views are not as spectacular, you don't have to traverse the steps! Can't wait to return!!

Cute and cozy and just what my family needed. The only con was the TV didn't have wifi ability. Other than that; cute place, great amenities, small but fully functional. Oober comfortable beds. Polite maintenance man and very private.

Great location but not what we expected
The location is great. Short walk to the beach and right on the marsh. The unit was not fully cleaned there were dirty towels and no kitchen towels. The kitchen was poorly stocked, only one steak knife and one kitchen knife.

Great location in Tybee
Great location, less than 10 minute walk and parking is easy at beach if you do want to park. Kids loved the Marsh and playground. Beds were not the most comfortable and there were no extras provided. No coffee, hand soap, little shampoos, very small towels and no beach towels provided which I have been used to with similar set ups.

Great location/dirty quilts
We had a great time. We walked and went to the beach and enjoyed the marsh and playground. We did see a bug in the house but we killed it. It is a great vintage house. But it is a vintage house so it was a little run down. I would suggest some curtains in the bedrooms and replacing the quilts because they have stains all over them. Hopefully it was stained and not dirty. Decoration was great and we will be back!

Great Location basic amenities
The location of the house was wonderful. Loved being right on the inlet and having the dock house. The kids loved the playground. The house was also very nice and clean. The problem was the lack of attention the owner had given to the house. The coffee maker and blender didn't work. There wasn't even hand soap or salt and pepper. There was nothing welcoming us to the house. It was as if no one checks on it other than cleaning. The bath towel were very small. And there was NO communication with the owner. She never responded to anything pervious to our date to confirm we were coming, etc.

Great spot for a quick weekend visit
This property was perfect for a race running weekend. Plan was to bring the kids and wife too but the weather didn’t cooperate. It was just me but the unit I stayed in was perfect.

Quiet spacious house with dock
Unit #3 is a relaxing place to stay, within an easy walk or bike ride to everything on Tybee. A nice couple who manages the property is on site in another unit, and helped us with several things. We would have liked to make more use of the dock, but the week we were there, between Xmas and New Year’s, kayak rental places were closed. It would be a big plus if this place had bikes and kayaks for guest use.

Crazy weather
We were at the Flamingo during a Nor’easter tropical storm hybrid which was an interesting experience. The house was cozy despite the weather. The unit was clean and tidy, beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed.
Due to the weather the yard started to flood which hustled our departure along and we were not able to experience all the property had to offer but would return!
Communication was good leading up to arrival and on day of departure. We are currently waiting for our deposit to be returned.

Disappointed
We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of this rental, and will not be returning. The bathroom is gross. There’s mold in the floor around the outside of the shower at the base, the handles of the shower are filthy and mold, and they left a disgusting shower mat inside the shower. Inside the shower was hair before we even took a shower, and there was also hair on several of the towels and washcloths. There were quite a few cockroaches and the floors had gunk that was stuck on them, like when you’re walking outside on the sidewalk. There was also just an old, used sponge in the kitchen to wash dishes with, so we had to buy our own. The unit had a musty smell that made it hard to stay inside. The location was perfect and there was room to spread out, but we absolutely won’t be back. Was not at all worth the price.

This place is wonderful on the canal with grandkids who love to fish!
I love this place! Beach days and evenings on the canal. My grandkids didnt want to leave this place. Loren and Tammy were so helpful and the apartment was much larger than we anticipated. Just loved it.

Beautiful and Relaxing
A fantastic Tybee weekend. The apartment was very sufficient, comfortable, and pleasant. And access to the dock and tidal creek was awesome. Try to catch the dolphins moving with the tide. We were in town for a Petty Hearts concert at the Tybee Post Theater. The apartment was within a nice walk to theater as well as the beach. Since there are three apartments, you can spread out with friends and family or just meet some pretty cool neighbors. Speaking of neighbors, be sure to chat with Lauren the property manager. Great guy, super helpful, and fascinating story. We would definitely go back.

Perfect home for all ages and a pup
This was the most peaceful and relaxing house we have ever rented. We were there with two grandsons and two granddaughters. The boys fished and crabbed the entire week. The girls took over the dock house playing games. The caretaker Loren even brought them boogie boards for the beach. Their little dog even made friends with our dog . The house was beautiful. We had everything we needed for a couple days, plenty of towels, paper products and cleaning products. The kitchen was stocked with salt, pepper, sugar and a bag of ice. Check in was a breeze. Phyllis text me the day before saying it was contactless so the door was open with the keys and info packet left on the bar. Loren was there to make sure we were settled in perfectly. We intend to make this our home away from home for several years to come. Thank you all for making this much needed vacation more than we ever expected!
