Food is great, friendly people

The host was amazing and also the food was very tasty and lots of variety, we could try many Georgian specialities. Very nice lady, really hospitable I felt very comfortable.

Cozy guesthouse with rural ambiance. Relaxing in the hammocks under shadowy trees and enjoying delicious food after a day's hike is a pleasure.

Everything was fantastic. Staying with Fafo was the highlight of our trip!! I tell everyone about her hospitality, the fantastic food she made for us and her lovely children. But most importantly the food!!!! We had a separate room away from the family and had clean towels to use. If we were cold, we could use the heater. We paid for the beds, breakfast and dinner. We paid a little extra to have something small for lunch as well. The bed was comfortable and she had a big garden where we could also relax. The family spoke little english but knew important words like shower, dinner, etc :) so it was easy enough to communicate with them. We had a sim card so not sure about wifi. I loved it with her so much and compared every guesthouse to her.

Fafo's Guesthouse is a fantastic, quiet, and clean place to stay. Fafo is so welcoming and made us an amazing dinner and breakfast, more than we could possibly eat. She also went above and beyond to arrange returning an item left behind once we were back in Mestia. You definitely won't regret staying here!

Very nice family. Beautifull countryside view, plenty of good food. Meals ready on arranged time.

Booked a room with private bathroom as indicated on booking.com. However, this guesthouse has only rooms with shared bathroom. So we ended up having tot share 1 toilet and 1 shower with guests of all 4 guest rooms + the owner and his family of 5 ! You basically stay in the house of the family and even have to pass thru the kitchen to use the toilet or the shower. We did not feel comfortable with this situation but because the reservation could not be cancelled any more, we had to accept the situation. The lady of the house starts working in the kitchen from very early in the morning till after midnight, so there is also the noise of pots and pans and dish washing up into the room.

The host was very nice and worked really hard to make our stay enjoyable. One of the best dinners and breakfasts we had in Georgia, we were also offered tea and cake when we arrived and in the evening. The room was really comfortable, bathroom shared and very clean. Paid 60 GEL/person with meals. Would definitely suggest to everyone trekking from Mestia to Ushguli.

host barely spoke either russian or english but we made all arrangements with her friend when we arrived so it wasn't really a problem.

The bridge to cross the river just before the house collapsed so you need to take into consideration you need to cross a small river ;)
