We loved visiting Rockland for the Lobster Festival. The house was the perfect location. It was spacious for 4 adults and we were even allowed to bring our pets.
Views of the water and the lighthouse were cool.
I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you!

We had an amazing stay at George’s property. The home was quaint and cozy. Perfect place to stay for a wedding down the street at the Samoset Resort.
4.8
It was so nice to be a short bike ride from town and from Samoset where we were visiting with friends. Very comfortable well maintained home.
4.8
Our stay was excellent! The property was convenient, with great off-street and shaded parking. The apartment was super clean, and had all we needed for our stay, including several AC units. The layout was perfect for our family. Grandparents stayed on one end with a bathroom, and we stayed in the other room with our 8 year old, our own bathroom. There was sufficient space to hang out in either the living and dining room, lots of couches and chairs. It couldn't have been more perfect for our stay in Rockland. Thanks for making this a great stay!!

We traveled to Maine for a family member’s wedding. The property was very nice and George made the check in and check out process very easy!

Well equipped, closed to the water, this flat is nice for a short trip....

We were in town for an event happening at a local resort but there wasn’t any rooms available so we just needed a place to sleep. The apartment was clean and the host was easy to communicate with.
4.8
The apartment was very comfortable for our stay, beds were great, location very convenient. It worked out perfectly.

Beautiful historic home! We really enjoyed all of the attention to detail in this home - from the decor and linens to the dishes and layout - it suited our family of 4 (adults) well. So much fun looking at all of the art and the huge selection of books available. We were curious about the history and had fun looking up the original family! Kitchen was fully functional and included all of the little gadgets and things you wouldn't think to bring with you on vacation. You can see a view of Rockland Harbor from the dining room which made for a pretty sunrise breakfast. The location was exactly where we needed to be for a family wedding at the Harmony Hill Farm nearby. Close to necessities - grocery store, gift shops and restaurants in town, the roads were very easy to navigate with GPS. The owners were clear with communication and instructions. We did not get to meet them in person, but appreciated the privacy and trust. Would definitely stay again, thank you!

We only stayed here one night but I could easily see staying here much longer. The owner was wonderful to communicate to, the house/apartment is very well set up and cozy. We arrived later in the evening through a terrible rain storm. The apartment was warm and clean, and was the perfect place to end the days activities.
4.8
Very unique place to stay. Lots of period pieces and history on every wall. Home was very comfortable and great for our time in Rockland.
Owners were very responsive to a problem with hot water. Clearly they understand customer service.
The upstairs apartment that we stayed has stairs that are narrow and steep which made it difficult for my wife that has knee issues.
4.8
Very nice, very clean and comfortable. Convenient to town and food stores.
Easy check in and out. Apartment is very nicely decorated.
Would stay there again anytime, would recommend to family and friends

We rented the up stairs 3 bedroom apt! Cozy and comfortable, easy access. What a nice spot, We wish our visit was longer. Friends were in the downstairs apartment, we were able to join them through a lower door. Everything was very comfortable and clean! We’d love to come back! Thanks Cathy!

We absolutely loved staying here! It was such a cozy and comfortable place for my family to relax after long days of touring the area! The hosts left us detailed instructions which made the stay super easy to follow!

We had a wonderful time exploring Rockport. While we were not able to make it to Monhegan Island, there was plenty for us to do and see. A great gathering place if traveling with family and friends. Enough room to spread out without being on top of each other.
Check-in was easy and there was plenty of info left to help us navigate the apartment, Rockport and surrounding area. The host were near, but we did not need to reach out.
Apartment was very quaint, with antiques and plenty of artwork which we all enjoyed.
Catherine was helpful in suggestions on places to eat...and they did not disappoint. Thank you to Catherine and George...we really enjoyed our stay.

I appreciated the hosts contacting me to make sure we knew how to get to the property, where to park, and how to access the upstairs apartment.
The beds were super comfortable, good water pressure in the shower and the kitchen was well appointed. Would definitely stay here again!
4.8
The hosts are fantastic. The property is cute and has plenty of room for gatherings. It is walking distance to a supermarket and central to many local attractions. The only complaint is very minor: the bathroom sinks are as small as one can imagine! All in all I happily give this place five stars for the great hosts, good place and location, and great relative value!

Great place to stay!!!

It was nice, just didn’t like there were no top sheets on beds. Also cob webs in the house, draws in kitchen could of been cleaner. The decks could of been cleaned. Lot of sticks and leaves on chairs, table and deck. Otherwise a nice place.
4.8
Fun property, great location, very comfortable seating and beds.

This was an adorable place, close to everything in Rockland and Camden. Views of the ocean were awesome and the owner was so sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Very cool to stay in an old Sea Captain's Home. So many cool antiques, books, artwork and things to discover in the rental. The hosts Cathy and George were so helpful and recommended all the best things to do and restaurants to experience.

My parents were visiting my husband and I from Alabama, so we wanted to show them around mid coast region. We also brought along our 2 dogs, Great Dane and Blue heeler mix. We all had such a wonderful time at this very comfy, unique home.
4.8
Very cool historic property, very clean, owners are communicative and friendly. Would definitely go again!

We loved the proximity to downtown and the lighthouse. Cathy has beautiful china, interesting books and art throughout the space.

The house (apt) was charming! Clean, neat and the we loved all the artwork, dishes and decorating. 2 bathrooms was perfect and the bedding/mattresses were comfy and cozy. Day trips to Port Clyde, Camden, Lincolnville were easy and accessible. Rockland is a great town with galleries and shops! Thanks so much for this gem!

Our apartment was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and was the perfect spot to meet up with my husband at the end of the day (very intense workshop). The light in the morning from the back bedroom was great to wake up to. We will be back.

This apartment was a perfect location. So cozy and well-appointed! Seven of us stayed for two nights for a friends’ reunion. We loved the art, blankets, fire pit, and views. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the coffee and tea. Our hosts were kind and responsive. We would absolutely stay again.

My husband and O really loved the apartment and the town. One night we actually went to a fish market after ferry ride and picked up a collection lobster. Cathy was so helpful and hospitable The apartment was quaint, clean and so spacious!

upstairs apartment. quiet essential. close to town just off main road. clean. all amenities. responsive management.
4.8
Old captains house with a lot of character.
4.8
The pictures look nice, but they don’t do it justice. My wife & I stayed a couple nights with our 17 year old son and 4 year old lab. This was an ideal ‘base camp’ for us to explore Rockland, Rockport, and Camden (our favorite.). Super easy to communicate with the hosts. Cathy made some great recommendations about local sites/activities/restaurants. The apartment is bigger than we expected. We walked to a few places, but you’ll likely have a short drive to everywhere you want to go.
This was our first VRBO experience and it set the bar pretty high for future rentals! Would definitely stay again.
4.8
Great stopping point en route to Bar Harbor. Nice location for hiked around Camden. Easy walk into town. Cozy spot for our party of 5 with plenty of room in the house to spread out.
4.8
If you love antique's and to be surrounded by them in every corner this is your place!
4.8
The house is approximately 1 mile from downtown Rockland. We went in August for the Lobster Fest. We enjoyed having our own cozy home to socialize with our family. The owners are very nice and willing to assist in anyway.
4.8
You are literally less then an hour and a half to everything Maine has to offer on the coast. The house was perfect for our family of six. It had everything for us. We are big coffee drinkers and the coffee maker is small so we would have to make two or three pots but on the bright side our coffee was always fresh. But really that is our only critique. It’s a cool old New England home. We are already considering renting the upper and lower apartments as our family grows.
4.8
My husband, two kids, and I loved staying here! The location was great, and the house was full of charm! It was comfortable, unique, and homey! We would absolutely stay again!
