À propos de cette location de vacances
Villa Il Cerretino Tuscany luxury pool countryside Florence

Our stay at Poggio a Caiano, Villa II Cerretino Tuscany, was extraordinary. From booking to checkout, Benedetta, the Property Manager, provided exceptional communication and support. Her knowledge of the villa’s history, local attractions, and help with reservations made everything seamless. She even organized a perfect post-wedding celebration for 30 guests with catering, musicians, and beautiful decor.
The villa is a stunning mix of 14th-century tradition and modern luxury. The expansive pool and spa area, with ample seating, evening lighting, and convenient poolside facilities, was a highlight. We loved exploring the 20-hectare park, filled with olive and citrus trees, offering panoramic views of Florence. The private courtyard, chapel, and spacious seating areas were ideal for family gatherings.
Inside, the villa exceeded expectations. It’s larger than photos suggest, with beautifully furnished rooms filled with art and décor. The daily housekeeping by Loredana, was impeccable, and the kitchen was fully equipped for meal prep. Mornings on the outdoor patio, surrounded by nature, were serene, with sightings of deer, foxes, and birds.
The six large bedrooms, each with its own ensuite and air conditioning, offered comfort and privacy. The gated entrance, long driveway, and meticulously maintained gardens added to the sense of exclusivity. Villa II Cerretino is a hidden gem in Tuscany, blending luxury with peace. We highly recommend it! Thank you, Benedetta ❤

Our family just returned from our stay at the Villa Il Cerrentino. To say we enjoyed the property would be an understatement! The pictures listed on the site are beautiful but we all agreed that the property is even better in person. We had 9 adults, one teen and a three year old in our party. The villa and grounds were expansive and beautifully maintained. The pool was a highlight! We enjoyed lounging and swimming almost daily.
We cooked most meals at the villa and found the kitchen stocked with everything we needed for our meals. The weather was beautiful and permitted us to dine al fresco on the patio adjacent to the kitchen. The rooms were overly spacious, the beds very comfortable and each room had its own bathroom.
Benedetta was a wonderful host and so responsive! She made our stay easy and provided us with prompt answers to any questions we had.
Some of us made a day trip into Florence with a private driver. This was a highlight of the trip as many of us had never been into the city.
We also took a day trip to a local vineyard, Pieve dei Medici. I highly recommend this as well. Very close to the villa and a wonderful addition to our vacation.
Thank you Benedetta for your hospitality and we hope to be back!

I can’t say enough about this trip of a lifetime. The villa is spectacular. The staff are amazing. They planned an excellent birthday dinner in the courtyard, a cooking class and a fabulous lunch at the villa. All of the food was excellent. The property manager could not have done anything better. She made several reservations for us and even purchased a few things for my grandson to assure that his trip was special. We felt like royalty. We will be back!!

We had a family reunion here for a week before heading down to the Vatican for a ceremony. Benedetta helped us prepare the trip for a few weeks before we arrived. Loredana cleaned and maintained the villa every day. We visited Siena, Lucca, Pisa, and Florence during the week. Every time we came back to the villa it was nice and tidy. It totally felt like home, except it's much bigger than my real home. We hired a chef thru Benedetta to cook us a spectacular dinner the night before we left. She listened to our needs and made us a meal to satisfy our diet restricitions. The dishes tasted fresh, healthy, flavorful, and fantastic. It was the night before the Moon Festival in Asian culture. We saw the big, bright and round moon accompany us all night. It was sad to leave the villa the next day.

The property was fantastic, the views were unbelievable. After a short intro to the villa by the property manager Benedetta we were off to the pool. I was surprised that the pool was a bit chilly since it was in the 90’s. (No heat in the pool). Benedetta was responsive to our every need and the cleaning staff was fantastic. They even did your laundry each day if needed. We had the chef come to the villa for one of our dinners and it was well worth the price. The only negative about the villa was Wi-Fi was a bit spotty. I look forward to a time that might bring us back to this villa

Our stay at this immense villa was wonderful! We travelled with 12 adults and had plenty of room to spread out and each of the 6 rooms had there own en suite bathroom.
The property manager, Benedetta was very helpful in arranging our cooking class and chef's dinner, as well as recommending a local restaurant as well as a local travel agent to arrange all our transport to Florence, Siena and winery tours. The pool area was awesome, just sorry we didn't get to spend more time there.

We had a great stay in Tuscany. The opportunity to stay at the Villa made it extra special.
The entire villa is impeccable and tastefully decorated. The location is convenient for making day trips to wineries, beaches and
It was a pleasure knowing Benedetta. We greatly appreciated all the recommendation and look forward to stay at this wonderful villa again.

We stayed in this beautiful and historic villa for 5 nights and honestly didn’t even begin to explore all there is to find on this massive property! Acres and acres of spectacular grounds, complete with orchards, vineyard and an amazing pool. An enormous interior, complete with common rooms filled with modern art, a well appointed kitchen and large lovely bedrooms. The lowest level of the villa was a maze of giant rooms that our family enjoyed exploring. The villa is filled with secret passageways, staircases and rooms that we didn’t even begin to uncover! You could spend several days just exploring this place! Look it up on google and you will discover the historical significance this villa had to the Medici family!
Our hostess Benedetta was a delight to work with and always had an quick response to any of our questions. She had many wonderful suggestions and arranged a wonderful dinner one evening at the villa and Chef Genevra prepared us the most delicious 5 course dinner I have eaten in a very long time!
All in all, the experience for my extended family of 12 was truly one we will all remember for a very very long time! Grazie Mille!

Our group of 12 (6 couples) enjoyed a beautiful time at this villa. Everything was clean, comfortable & beautiful. Benedetta, the villa manager, is wonderful to work with and attended to all of our needs while on property. The pool is a little slice of heaven. We will most certainly visit again.

This is the best VRBO experience I've had - the property exceeds expectations. Photos can't do it justice. It's more grand, well maintained, & rich with history than photos can show. The property manager, Benedetta, goes above & beyond. She acted almost as a concierge service by setting up cars, recommending & booking restaurants, and making sure our stay was as smooth & comfortable as possible. Upon arrival, Benedetta walked us around the property & shared some history. It's so rich in history which makes the stay all the more special.
The view is spectacular, the property & home are so well appointed & maintained. The gardens are beautiful, the pool is immaculate, the bedrooms are clean, cool & have all the amenities you could want.
We hired the recommended chef for all breakfasts & most dinners. Although we enjoyed getting off the property to see a local restaurant & Florence, it's not necessary. The best meals we had were at the home. Our chef, Ginevra, was incredible & so kind.
I rarely say this because I love exploring new homes, but this will be a property we visit again. Thank you, Benedetta, & team. You manage this property so impeccably.

A beautiful setting in Tuscany with a great manager , Benedetta. Benedetta was a pleasure to work with and just a lovely person to meet. It’s set in a lovely small town with some fine restaurants within 10 minutes of the Villa and day trips to Florence are easy as well.
The Villa was charming although could use some TLC but that didn’t stop us from having a great time there. If you are expecting a 5 Star hotel this isn’t it but this surpasses 5 Star hotels in many other ways.

Villa il Cerretino is a wonderful property. The grounds are meticulously kept and the home is well appointed and clean. The house is enormous. Our group of 10 had more than enough space and there are some rooms we did not even utilize! The pool area is the real highlight of the home. It's a gorgeous, large, clean pool that you could spend all week lounging at. Lastly, the host (Benedetta) and her staff are extremely professional and helpful, ready to answer any questions or give any recommendations. Highly recommend hiring a private chef come to the house at least once during your stay, this was one of the highlights of our trip.

We spent the most wonderful time at Villa il Cerretino. It was a special occasion for a big family reunion and holiday with friends. The house is absolutely beautiful, and the setting is poetic and peaceful. Benedetta, who manages the property, is fantastic. She helped us plan a birthday dinner, recommended good restaurants, and was always available to address any house needs. There is so much to explore in the area (Florence, Lucca, Pisa, to name just a few towns), and there are lots of sports activities with jogging paths, tennis and golf right nearby. Everyone had a great time. We will keep the most special memories of our stay here!

We stayed at the villa for 11 nigths, 10 adaults, 5 kids and 2 infants. Everything was as described, the house is HUGE and really well taken care of. We spent most of our days by the pool which was amazing. Benedetta was a dream host and was always ready to help and answer any questions we might have. All the staff we met were also wonderful.
We had yoga, massage and one night with personal chef and wine tasting and I highly recommend all of it!

There are few words to describe HOW AMAZING our experience was at Il Cerretino.
We hosted family and a couple friends (13 total) for a five-night stay + our wedding in early May. The weather was colder than usual, and it rained on our wedding day —and we can still look back and say it was AMAZING!
Benedetta, our host, went above and beyond. Seriously. We have traveled extensively, and it’s rare to find hosts (and people in general) who are as hospitable and accommodating as Ms. Benedetta.
The entire week was planned without ever seeing the villa — so we heavily relied on Benedetta’s guidance, suggestions and accommodations. Including a last minute change of plans to host our ~50 person wedding inside. The villa has so many different rooms, beautiful art, lots of seating, and plenty of open space downstairs. We couldn’t have planned it better. Not to mention, Benedetta was so helpful in arranging all the small details that weren’t a part of her job description as a VRBO host. She truly goes out of her way to make you feel at home.
As for the villa and our stay, all the guests had plenty of space in the bedrooms. The extra bed was very useful too. Would strongly recommend for couples — as there are mostly queen sized beds in each room. All the bedrooms have their own bathroom, with one exception.
The courtyards (!) are stunning. You can see Florence on a clear day.
We loved how secluded the villa was. There’s a grocery store within a 5 min drive, which we used several times. Plenty of cups, plates, silverware, etc. And we loved the communal spaces.
The villa is kept in MINT condition - inside and out. For as old as it is, they do an excellent job keeping up with the grounds, and interior to make it feel as though it’s new.
If you look in the books & magazine room, you’ll find a 1978 Vogue Home Edition magazine. The villa has a 3-4 page spread written in Italian. The photos from 1978 might as well have been from last week - furniture and all. It’s incredible how well they’ve kept up with the place. If anything did come up, they are on top of it right away.
Book this villa. Get to know Benedetta and the whole staff. Enjoy your stay in Italy!
