Everything! the plants, the decor, the hospitality, the architecture, the food…I adore this place. These people are some kind of special 😌 they treated me like family, made sure I was okay, helped me with everything I needed, fed me good and just as humble as humble can get ! I can’t even put into words how much I loved my stay from beginning to end.

the water from the shower goes everywhere. no daily supply of bottled water. 4 small bottles provided at check in and that was all. it was not enough for 5 days for drinking and brushing teeth.

the villa was in need or work, the bottom floor in particular was very damp and had mold and lots of peeling paint with a strong musty smell throughout. the kitchen was very poorly equipped with dirty crockery and utensils, several of the glasses were moldy and the fridge very dirty again with mold inside and out. we mentioned this to the staff so hopefully some changes are made, it appears like it has been decaying for sometime however. it would no doubt be a lovely place with a revamp.

Location, facilities and staff were amazing. if we needed anything they would help us immediately. Breakfast was gorgeous and was brought to our room every morning. Beautiful spot all round.

The staff was extremely helpful and nice. 5 star service. That was definitely the best part of the stay.

We stayed in the two-bedroom villa, which definitely needs some renovations (especially the bathroom and outside area). There was a weird smell inside the rooms. Also, a few geckos were living in the rooms (which is totally fine by me) but here and then, we found their poop on the floor. The other villas looked nice though (at least from the photos), so it's probably just the two-bedroom one that needs some care. They offer a scooter rental but avoid it if possible. They offered NMAX scooter for 250k per day. I was able to get it for 130k per day from another rental company in Ubud. I've stayed in many villas in Bali, and this was really an average or below-average stay apart from the staff working there. The staff was exceptional.

The staff were wonderful and so helpful with everything, the villa was perfect escapism which was entirely what was needed. I travelled solo and never felt anything other than safe. It's a little off the main drag but considering how commercialised and busy Ubud is becoming it was definitely the right choice - uber/grab cars so cheap and readily available anyway.

very private and peaceful, my outdoor pool was perfect the gardens were beautiful. food can be ordered in and if you need beer or more water reception can provide that. I had a wonderful lady come each day and had a massage by my pool. next time I stay I will get a few food supplies as there is a basic kitchen, with all that is needed to cook a meal thank you to the staff for warm welcome and amazing service Catherine van der Meulen

The staff is a family that owns Karunia house. They have only three villa's. All villa's have a private pool. The staff could not be more helpefull. Always with a smile and willing to help in any way needed. The two bedroom villa we stayed at was very clean and comfortable. The wifi was good. The town is a few miles away. If you need a taxi, ask the staff to call one for you. We had a driver named Putra. The staff knows him. He could not be more helpfull and the price is reasonable. This hotel is worth the money. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Book early. Ps: laundry service is very good and priced reasonably.

Breakfast could be a little better, the fruit drink that comes with the breakfast is very good.

The staff was outstanding friendly and supportive, was always available and has helped us with everything we’d asked for. The house was very beautiful, clean, comfortable and looks even better than on the pictures. We would definitely stay there again!

The villas were really nice with an amazing pool and outdoors kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a tub and a shower. The staff brings breakfast to your kitchen which was very nice as well.

The breakfast was average, not a lot of choice and nothing special. It could be better but for the price you get a lot of value. The pool was a bit too cold.

pay for 1 and get two units. we didn’t know. top is much more newer than the bottom bathroom. family business, well kept garden, very safe and 3 minute walk to Royal pita.

Lovely private villa surrounded by beautiful gardens. Only three villas on property . We had one bedroom which was secluded with a lovely pool . Breakfast delivered to our villa, bed was comfortable . Genuine hosts and great value . Would stay again
