We enjoyed the location being on the West bank away from the tourist hordes. The views of Habu temple (Medinet Habou) and the sunset are great. We enjoyed our morning coffee and our evening snacks and beers on the roof. There are several restaurants nearby and we walked to Malkata House and Marsam Hotel for dinner on different evenings .. both were excellent.. especially at the Marsam Hotel. We would grab a taxi or a tuk tuk by Habu Temple to go down through town to the public ferry dock or the shared boats docks to go to the East side. Haggle hard to get a reasonable price! The home is decorated attractively and the owner's wife is very pleasant as is her brother who actually went to purchase dried hibiscus flowers for my friend. If you were here when the need for A/C wasn't necessary, it would be more comfortable. The beds were quite comfortable. Also, it was great having the washing machine available!

The WIFI signal was very weak and I couldn't use my VPN which I need for work. The A/C units are only in the bedrooms and the rest of the house was very hot! We would leave the 2 upstairs A/C units on and close the door to the lounge by them and it would be tolerable. So, if you need to use WIFI for work or really like the A/C cool, this isn't the place for you. It is also very windy for part of the night and the shutters rattle quite a lot. Also, neighborhood dogs set to barking at odd hours of the night and can disturb your sleep.

The location was fantastic, an exceptional view, quiet and the locals are friendly and welcoming. The ticket office is a quick walk around the corner and trips to valley of the kings etc are only about 10 minutes in the car. The rooms were spacious, there were 2 bathrooms with showers and the beds were comfortable. The roof terrace was my favourite: warm, comfortable and private. The washing machine was really handy and there was a large fridge/freezer for fruit and water. There are at least 2 cafe/restaurants within easy walking distance and a small convenience shop.

The kitchen was unkept and aside from the kettle most of it was unusable. We only stayed a couple of days and eating out locally was so inexpensive that it wasn't an issue for us at all but it's worth noting. The WiFi didn't work the entire time that we were there, which made it hard to communicate with tour companies for day trips given the huge cost of mobile data.

Highest standard of consumer service. House well equiped and beautifuly decorated. Incredible view on antiquities. In the heart of west bank monuments, most being at walking distance.

Really splendid location in a quiet village overlooking the magnificent Medinet Habu temple. The owners are very responsive and helpful. The house is cool, quiet and clean.

Top notch.. Very nicely done traditional house, clean!! (Hygine and cleanliness standarss in Egypt are very low so, not to be taken for granted). Location cannot be better - views over Valley of Queen, watch hot air baloons every morning, quiet and peaceful but only 10 min drive from the riverbank. Restaurant Habou Garden nearby was best for dinners.

Communication with the caretaker was difficult and English nonexistent. He didn't really help much with our questions. House needs to have a writeup on local amenities like taxi numbers, restaurants, shops because it is a bit remote. For this reason, handsoap and extra toilet paper must be provided. As well as a lighter or matches for the gas stove.

Wonderful location, with a cool terrace and a good view of the near Ramses III temple. Neat house with nice architecture.

Such a nice and quiet place 20 meters of medinat abu temple. The location is exceptional. Very very quiet. No tourist around in the evening, no harassment. King and queen valley are 5 mn away by local taxi so we did visit all times and temples alone at 6 am precise everyday. I do warmly recommend this house.

Top pick! Best acommodation in Egypt, by far! The house is just in front of Medinet Habu temple. View from the roof is amazing (day and night). Whole house comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living rooms. Easily acommodates six people (and could acommodate more). The house is spotlessly clean, and moreover it is beutifully restored, stylish. Absolutely recommended. Several restaurants are nearby (tourist price), local shop (very small - milk, yoghurt, water) is 50 m (local price = ridiculously cheap). If you come by car, you can park in front of the house (calm street). Pickup can be also arranged. I recommend to stay on this bank of Nile! Medinet Habu, Ramesseum, Memnon colosses and Tombs of Nobles can be visited just on foot. With yout own wheels (or even bikes) you can be the first in the Valley of Kings (6 AM) or Hatshepsut Temple. Outstanding value for price.
