Quirky, beach inspired cottage on the fabulous Northumberland Coast.
Dovecote Corner est une fin de chalet original en terrasse dans le village côtier populaire d'Amble-by-the-Sea, et il peut accueillir jusqu'à 4 personnes. Il est parfait pour un couple ou une petite famille à la recherche d'une base confortable pour découvrir les plaisirs de la côte du patrimoine.
Le port animé, les restaurants primés, les pubs et les magasins sont à distance de marche, tout comme une plage de sable, le port de travail et la promenade de la jetée.
Récemment, nous avons eu l'ajout d'un centre d'élevage de homards interactif ... nous essayons d'augmenter la taille de la population de homards en mer du Nord et de nos célèbres Amble Pods..des bateaux suspendus contenant de minuscules boutiques vendant toutes sortes d'artisanat .
Les gens parcourent des kilomètres pour visiter notre marché du dimanche matin, situé sur le port au coin de la rue ... c'est le plus grand de la région.
Quelques minutes en voiture en direction du nord vous amène à Warkworth historique, avec son château médiéval, ses boutiques de charme et ses pubs servant tous de la bonne nourriture.
Un mile environ au sud vous emmène sur les plages dorées de Hauxley et Druridge .. et deux sanctuaires d'oiseaux avec des peaux autour d'une série de lacs.
Confortablement meublé sur le thème de la plage, notre chalet lumineux propose deux chambres, une chambre double spacieuse et une chambre avec lits superposés et une salle de bains avec baignoire pour les longues baignades après une journée fatigante sur la plage.
Une petite cuisine équipée et un salon lumineux avec poêle à bois pour les nuits froides d'hiver et TV avec TNT et lecteur DVD, livres, DVD et wifi complètent ce joli chalet.
Pourquoi ne pas faire un voyage au château et aux jardins d'Alnwick ou découvrir l'une des nombreuses promenades côtières avec une pinte et un sandwich au crabe quelque part en chemin, les plages dorées sont infinies et attendent d'être découvertes.
Es-tu un fin gourmet? Essayez l'un des nombreux restaurants d'Amble by the Seas .... certains primés aussi!

The cottage was perfect for our stay, it had everything we needed. The location is great and Diane was really responsive in terms of communication. Would recommend! :)

Warm comfortable house. Everything one needs for a short stay. As we had been before we knew to take a mat for the shower as it is over a bath.
The online details are a bit lacking . Last year I had to contact the owner to check if there was a separate shower .
The house is so convenient for Amble harbour.
We hope to return.

This was our first stay in Northumberland and we couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay. The house was lovely, thoughtfully decorated and really well equipped with everything we needed. The area was quiet and only a short walk away from the harbour - we enjoyed a walk down there every morning in a week of beautiful sunshine. Highly recommended as an excellent base for a stay!

Cosy end of terrace 2 storey cottage. The heating was great and there was no need of the log fire. The kitchen equipment was plentiful and the milk etc was welcome. Although the shower was over the bath ,the bath sides were not too high.

Relaxing break in amble
Comfortable and surprisingly big cottage in amble; just what we needed for a few days by the sea. Conveniently located for shops, pubs and restaurants with plenty of space to park outside. The outside space was a welcome addition in the heatwave and actually very private as it backs on to a very small through road.

Clean, tidy and great location… close to shops and harbour .
Great little place … brilliant for sight seeing … close to wonderful beaches …. Shops and eateries… if you love fish you can’t get any fresher … Dianne is a lovely host….
We will be back for another stay and will recommend the cottage

Very good property
The property suited us very well. Within walking distance of the harbour and some excellent restaurants. Nice size for us and our two dogs. Some nice welcoming touches on arrival. The only problem was parking when there were events on across the road.

Lovely clean and cosy cottage
We had a great time, the house was so cosy and welcoming and Diane was a great host, so helpful! It’s a lovely area and all the info Diane left for us was really helpful. Smooth check in process too and no trouble parking. The milk and biscuits were a really nice touch. Thanks so much!!

Lovely cosy quirky cottage in Central location in Amble.
Lovely quality time spent with the family in our most favourite place in Amble. Diane the owner was lovely and leaving milk in the fridge and biscuits was a very nice touch.

Had lovely 8 days at the cottage beautiful throughout Nice and clean ideal location next to high street , beaches and harbour . My children enjoyed the games that were there and loved the cozy beds after long day venturing out thank you

Cosy cottage & great hospitality
Cosy, comfortable & clean house. Pretty good location, close to the centre of Amble & the harbour. Parking outside was always fine for us. Good base for south Northumberland & all it has to offer.
Great communication from the owner, Diane. She even brought round some sticks & logs for the wood burner because it was unseasonably cold on a couple of nights. Thanks!
We would recommend any local beach - they are all great, but Bamburgh, Hauxley, Druridge Bay & Embleton in particular. Lovely castles, obviously, Bamburgh, Alnwick. Didn’t get to Warkworth. Saw seals on Holy Island. In Amble, ice cream at Spurellis is good, coffee at a harbour stall & fish and chips at Queens Plaice on the high street were excellent (& gluten free).

A hidden gem in Northumberland
What a smashing wee cottage near the harbour in Amble. Fully equipped and very comfortable. Absolutely loved the mini hot water bottles, but never needed them, due to the excellent heating system . . .however, will have to find out where to get them!
Grandsons were more than happy to have baths. . .with dinosaurs. . .after busy days exploring the surrounding areas, and loved their bunk beds.
Highly recommended for couples or families, we hope to be back before too long. Thank you Di, for making our stay so special x

Had a great holiday. Cottage adequate, a bit hemmed in but we liked Amble very much
Adequate cottage perhaps more cutlery and glasses. An oven glove would be welcome.
