Not sure what to say, it was so awesome!! Beautiful property!. Very relaxing! Requested arrangements for dining, entertainment, and transportation available. Hot tub was amazing after hiking and a day at Machu Picchu. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Best week ever!

The Urquillos vValley is a secluded part of the greater Sacred Valley and it is incredibly tranquil and beautiful. The home is a perfect fit for this idyllic setting and exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly spacious and allowed for multiple families to congregate together while offering a perfect mix of areas for for individual privacy and communal areas to enjoy the company of others. Our family will definitely return and I would give it my highest recommendation for those seeking a relaxing long weekend in the countryside.

Our family ranging, ages 11 to 80, had a relaxing stay at Carolina’s property. The surrounding mountains are unlike any others, capped with snow while we were there. We spent hours relaxing on the patio, hiked to waterfalls and salt flats and enjoyed delicious breakfasts made by the woman who assists at the home. The house is beautifully decorated and the kitchen, very well equipped. Carolina, the house owner was very attentive to our needs and a great communicator.

Thank you Carolina and Julio we will recommend your property to others and thank you for making our issues right. Blissings

We had a lovely stay at this property. It is the last property in a gated complex with gorgeous views of the valley. The house is physically beautiful with many thoughtful design touches. The owner is quick to answer messages with helpful suggestions and helped us arrange transportation and tours. It is optional to have a housekeeper help with cooking, and that was very useful to prepare breakfast, lunch and also dinner. Overall a lovely stay. One note, there is not laundry in the unit, there is an extra fee to get laundry done.

We had the IMMENSE privilege of staying in Carolina's property for three months during the summer of 2021 (May-August). We loved everything about our stay.
Here's a brief breakdown of the "bests" of the property:
- Property: the house is gorgeous and VERY comfortable, especially for families with small children. We had twelve people in our group, with 4 adults, 3 teens, 2 tweens, and 3 smaller kids. The property was the perfect mix of being beautifully decorated while also being kid-friendly.
- Location: There are a number of stellar views in the Valley but Carolina's house had our favorite views. Every morning we would wake up mesmerized with the views from our bedrooms. The property is the last in the complex, which means the views of the mountains are unobstructed. Nighttime is just as magical, as the property's remote location allows for daily star shows.
- Local support: For all the beauty of the location and property, it wouldn't have been nearly the experience without the local support. We had the joy of engaging Marlene (property manager/chef extraordinaire) six days a week. As mentioned in other reviews, her cooking is excellent (our kids were blown away daily and each had their favorite "Marlene dish"). In addition to being a great cook, Marlene was an amazing local connection to the village. Together, we explored parts of the Valley, played soccer in the neighboring field, and enjoyed meals together with her family on a regular basis. She was more than hired help. She was a true friend to all of us (ESPECIALLY the kiddos)
In addition, we really appreciated the complex manager and his wife, as well as the local yard crew - each of whom were so kind and generous with their time.
- Owner responsiveness: Carolina is a great owner. She always answered our questions quickly and provided great recommendations. We look forward to working together in the near future.
A few items of which to be aware:
- Hot water is run by gas propane, which you need to purchase on an as-needed basis (we went through a couple of canisters of gas a week = $15.00)
- Internet was acceptable but did cause some hiccups at times (we had a lot of devices between the 12 people). I would recommend getting local data plans if you're there for an extended stay.
- There is a "hot tub" on location, which consists of a small stone tub that takes about 6 hours (+ 1 propane tank) to heat. It was a fun experience but not something we used often.

This beautiful villa is located in the perfect place to enjoy the sacred valley. Not only is the villa perfectly laid out for families, but the house keeper is wonderful. She is a great cook and truly enjoys helping you. The location is very convenient to everything, but also very private and surrounded by flowers and nature. Our family enjoyed our stay so much!! We will be back again in the future!

This property was as gorgeous and relaxing as advertised. We had a mix of couples, siblings and single travelers and we each were able to make use of our own room/bathroom for the stay. Carolina was exceptionally responsive and helpful, as was the housekeeper, Marlene, and the driver that we had access to, Pavel. If you're looking to escape the tourists and crowds this is the place!
Everyone was super accommodating when we ran into some headaches (flight delayed by hours, various arrival times for the group, a late arrival with no access to food) - experiences that could have made us grumpy were made much easier. The only drawback is that you need a car or driver to get you to the Sacred Valley's main attractions. But this is easily solvable (and the property owners are happy to help). We welcomed the chance to unwind for a few days and escape the busy tourism of Cusco and the rest of the sacred valley.
Such a lovely and comfortable home - we highly recommend it to others!

We had a wonderful time at Julio’s property. It is the home that you always wanted! The first afternoon that we arrived we spent time out on the patio & yard and saw a double rainbow over Spirit Mountain! The house has everything that you would need including Marlena, housekeeper, cook and friend! She prepared 2 dinners for us , that were delicious. Julio responded to our requests and needs as fast as a text! This property is beautiful, cozy and comfortable! You are surrounded by mountains with spectacular views! We will always remember our time here. Thanks Julio & Carolina. Mary, Mike & Friends

There are no words or pictures that can begin to express my gratitude for our experience here. Thank you Carolina and Maralanee for everything once again. From amazing views to fresh flowers in every room all nine of us lived more than comfortably in this sweet pad! We went on many adventures and had a traditional Inkan wedding in the backyard. I had no idea how perfect that would feel to us. I honestly have never been so far from where I live and felt so much at home. I highly recommend having Maralanee cook dinner for you. I used the Machu Pichu center for all our excursions including our wedding and everything went above and beyond any expectations we might have had. Muchas gracias, Panchamama

We recently stayed in Carolina and Julio's home in the Urumba, Sacred Valley and it was breathtaking. We were 8 adults and 6 children. The home is so charming and cozy. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms each had their own beautiful on-suite bathroom. The house is wonderfully decorated and located in a quiet serene area. The views of the mountains are truly breath taking. The housekeeper was very friendly and great with the kids.
Carolina was wonderful at organizing our transportation during our stay (from/to airport). Our driver, Sergio, was amazing and brought us everywhere - Pisac Market/ Ruins, Ollantaytambo, and other sites. The house is located in a perfect area for day trips to different sites and only 45 mins to the train station of Ollantaytambo from where we took the train to Machu Picchu.
Carolina also organized to have a chef come one night during our stay. The food was absolutely incredible, and could have fed 10 extra people. It was a lovely treat after a long day visiting Machu Picchu.
I would recommend this home to absolutely anyone looking for a relaxing and easy trip to Cuzco - Machu Picchu. It is also near Cuzco so day trips can also be arranged. Truly incredible experience.

My family stayed at Julio and Carolina's house in the sacred valley for the christmas and new years holidays. The house is conveniently located in the sacred valley. We used it as a base to see Machu Picchu, the sacred valley, Cusco and the many authentic local villages. The house is very tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and furnishings. The property was secure with a full time guardian Rudy. The photos are an accurate representation of the house.
The Aranwa Hotel is just a few minutes from the house and provides all the services an upscale traveler might want. Their restaurant has great food and a good wine list. We shopped in the open markets in the local towns. We wandered the local village and watched the villagers play afternoon soccer matches.
Julio and Carolina are prompt to answer emails and questions. They offered tips and suggestions on sights, activities etc. They were gracious hosts. We enjoyed our time relaxing at their house!
