Great guesthouse, lovely family and big kitchen to use. Some rooms with ac, some without. I recommend the ones with ac.

The location was really good. Just 2 minutes from the main road which we had no noise from street which I understand it is must when you choose hotel in sri lanka. And the host was really helpful. Smart women as host made kitchen and all necessary equipment to have comfortable stay. We were tired of street food and here we were easily cooking for ourself which was important for us. They were so kind and helped us with ice coffee, tea and coconut. Definitely come back.

Kameni & Nimal are definitely one of the most friendly, courteous & caring people we ever met. They give their whole heart to their guests, the breakfast is exceptionally delicious, the portions are so big that we were full until the evening. And it varies almost every day. This family are very helpful & caring people, they gave us the perfect tips for excursions & always had a sincere smile on their lips. We were even treated to our favorite freshly cooked meal as a farewell. These people welcomed us as if we were part of their family & we would come back anytime! Thank you for everything Kameni & Nimal, you are wonderful people. We will never forget you & highly recommend anyone to reside with you.

We had an amazing stay. The family is super nice, helpful, warm-hearted and has always a big smile in their face. We felt very welcome here. The kitchen is very well equipped (best equipped kitchen we had in Sri Lanka). The room has a very comfortable bad with a sitting area were you can relax after a beach day. The outside area is nice to enjoy the sun or to have breakfast/lunch/dinner. The beach is walking distance (3 minutes), also supermarkets, shops, restaurants are walking distance and the bus stopp is just next street. We had some nice talks with the family and enjoyed ilour stay a lot. We warmly recommend this special familiar accommodation. :-)

The warm welcome, offered an ice tea on arrival and greeted with smiles and kindness. The breakfast in the morning for a small additional charge was incredible!!! it was a full local breakfast, and they would carry on feeding you until you had to leave some because it was such a huge portion of food and so so tasty. I had such a good sleep in the comfortable and quiet room. The shower was hot and everything was perfect.

A beautiful accommodation where we felt very comfortable! We were here with two friends and had a great stay. At first we only wanted to stay for 3 days, but it ended up being a whole week. The flat is very clean and has two rooms with a large bed. It also has a balcony where you can have breakfast in the morning. There is also a great kitchen, which fulfilled all our wishes. Two gas cookers, toaster, cutlery and crockery, pots, pans, sink..., everything you need. The family is very nice and they all speak English very well. They help with any problems and are always there for you. There is also a small family shop under the flat. This is very practical because it is so close and you can get a lot of things there. Dikwella beach and a turtle beach are also close by. You can dive with them and feed them. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. We can only recommend it. If you miss this, you are missing out. Most beautiful accommodation in Sri Lanka! Thank you very much!

Im very happy that i met this family!!! I did not have any inconveniences, even more - they created atmosphere of caring, they never said no to my any request ( and i can be picky ;) ). Room is very nice with 3 sockets beside to the bed, everything is clean. Table, chair, interesting sofa made as part of the wall with soft big pillow on, hot water, fan, air conditioner ( as i remember, but i did not use ). Distance to the ocean, like 5 mins walking. Breakfasts are big enough even for me, with fresh juice, national dishes, fruits, strong tea ( by my request). Nimal, took me from the bus station, he bought me charger, he gave me water when everything was closed from his shop, i could see the kindness is his eyes while was staying there. As far as in eyes of his wife - intelligent lady, always ready to help, she took me to some Buddhist traditional celebration, she prepared a huge breakfast at last day with fried potatoes, pasta and omlet ---- it was so tasty 😋. There are 2 daughters - well conducted and charmy. I DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE! I planned 1 day - i stood 3!!! And i felt i did not want to leave, was sad a bit... I can not list everything - they have 2 white rabbits, small pool with fishes in libing room😍 I met the couple from Germany they were staying about a month and did not plan it as me! Its magic magnetic place😎 I never gave the highest score to accomodation at Sri lanka, this one is exception! Bravo! Im impressed! I can texting whole night about, but dears, you better come and check!!! Booking.com you should reward those people for doing a job properly that's why hard, for professional approach, for kindness, for being humans first and only owners! Btw for everything they had done additionally for me ( like transfer from bus station, etc) they did not include to the final bill, of course each perceived person will give some tips for those efforts, so i did from the ❤️. Its double pleasure when nobody push you to give something.

Was everything perfect and clean and the family was soooo loving. Just a perfect place

The hosting family was incredible nice and easy to talk to. They even helped us getting the bus to Ella. We felt like home. The room was clean and the best is the bathroom with the good shower. The location is very good and calm. Nearby is a shop by the owner, so it's easy to buy food and drinks. We have a good talk with teas. If we are visiting Dikwella again, we definitely will visit this place.

Nimals House is in a perfect location. Minutes from dickwella beach and 5 minutes from hiriketiya beach. We were met with cool fruit juice and our children loved watching the fish in the welcome area! The apartment has 2 massive beds which are incredibly comfy and a kitchen and bathroom with all the essentials provided. There are fans and aircon too. The shower room is huge and the showers are warm with good water pressure. Nothing is too much trouble for our hosts, who also assisted us with picking us up from the station last minute, helped with our laundry on site, treated our children to snacks from their shop downstairs, arranged a driver for us and cooked us a beautifully prepared and incredibly tasty meal. Our girls loved playing with the pet bunnies in the garden too! From the balcony we watched monkeys, chipmunks, and fireflies and watched an incredible lightening storm too. We were self sufficient for breakfast, however it was offered and I’m sure it would be incredible. The family are welcoming, kind, attentive and absolutely excellent hosts where nothing is too much trouble. Thank you so much- we can’t wait to come back again next year!

The apartment was amazing - very spacious and clean, had two bedrooms with super comfortable beds and a balcony with a lovely view. Both kitchen and bathroom were very well equipped. The rooms had AC and also a fan so there was always a pleasant temperature.

Nimal’s house is a wonderful place to come and explore Dikwella and the surrounding area. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, and there is a separate kitchen for guests who want to cook meals. Nimal and the family are so incredibly welcoming and hospitable. You instantly feel at home with them. The breakfast is also excellent and even cooked to your request. All in all a great place to stay. We will be back!

Very roomy apartment close to the nice beach. If you need surfing it is also not far, only 5 minutes by tuktuk. The hosts were extremely hospitable and very attentive to our needs. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable in their apartment. We were ordering breakfasts and dinners from time to time, and they were just delicious.

We were one of the first guests in this brand-new place and some things were missing or not yet setted up. But hosts always gave us what we needed and fixed things quickly. So if you stay in this guest house and face any problems, just don't hesitate to ask, they will be happy to help you.

The family at Nimals house is beautiful. We had such an incredible time. Very clean, coffee and tea offered all the time, and the vibe with the family was perfect. Will definitely stay again.

A excellent stay! We were upgraded from a double room to their recently developed apartment- Which was extremely sizeable and well equipped. Our dinner on the final night was full of flavour and very well cooked. Perfect location set just back from Dickwella beach. An all round great stay.

I really liked everything about this property. The family are so welcoming and friendly. Nimal and Kamani are really helpful with anything you might need, and Kamani speaks very good English. It’s very good value for money, there is a kitchen if you want to cook (although I didn’t), and everything is very clean. The breakfasts are delicious and huge! I also requested dinner one night which was very tasty as well. They are very thoughtful about learning your food preferences - I love spicy food so they made sure to give me spicier daal for breakfast, even when making multiple breakfasts for different people. There is a rooftop where you can do yoga which was a stunning experience at sunset! I stayed an extra night as I felt so at home 😊 The shower was great and bed comfortable. It’s also really convenient that the family have a shop next door so you can buy snacks if you want.

My only worry at the beginning was the shared bathroom and it being unavailable all of the time with lots of people using it, but not many of the rooms actually use that bathroom, because some have their own, so it was totally fine. Nothing bad to say!

Cannot recommend enough. The entire family is increadiby friendly and will go above and beyond to make your stay a fantastic experience. It's very clean, the breakfast is unbelievable, and any inquary met with an impressive service level. The love and care they put into their business is highly visible and creates an exclusive and relaxed vibe all around. Great location and we would have liked to stay longer!

Very welcoming, cosy, clean and laid back. There is a little family shrine and a lovely garden inside. just what it says: the home of a Nimal’s caring family.

It is quite close to a busy road, and there is some occasional noise. That’s the only thing, really.

What a lovely family and place!! Very quiet and super clean rooms, and a beautiful sitting area in nature! The location of the guesthouse is 3 minutes walk from the famous beach, very centrally located to shops and restaurants! Nimal’s family are the most welcoming people, making sure that you enjoy your stay with everything needed. The breakfast was also terrific and included so many items, all made in house with lots of Love. This place is the best i could have wished for, highly recommended!!

It is very difficult for me to describe all the emotions, because I have never been so happy! I had really great stay! I booked a room for one day, then went on a trip around the island, but this day was so nice that after my trip I returned. Details: the house is incredible, very tidy and calming place, the bed is comfortable, bathroom and terrace are excellent. The yard is so green that s you can see a bird's nest and chicks here! The place was very clean and had all of the necessities very well thought out. Location is excellent. It is very close to the ocean, there are two beaches nearby, I prefer Batigama beach, where the turtles live. Mrs. Cammani and Mr. Nimal are great hosts, very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions, and I want to come back to their place again and again. They helped with any information about the area, contact with drivers and helped with my excursion to Yala National Park (it was much cheaper than on the Internet) and treat me in such a way that I felt like I was among old friends. I am really happy to know them! Mrs. Cammani is an excellent cook, and she always questioned me and took into account my specific tastes. Breakfast has always been top notch, with fresh juice prepared just in time for me to wake up. The octopus was especially amazing, and even on the flight on my way home I enjoyed eating her food! Highly recommended!

A really Nice place with the sweetest family! Also, The rooms are good and Clean and the place is in walking distance to dickwella beach (the family can also help with scooter rental if you are interesse). We can't Express enough how sweet the family was! they wil always try to help and give advice. Furthermore, my girlfriend got sick during the stay and the family went beyond and took so good care of her, trying to make her well again! can definetly recommend!

They first put us in the huge new room, which is really nice! Then we stayed in one AC room which are also really nice. The homemade breakfast and dinner where delicious and they always adapted to our request. You also can cook if you want since there's a fully equipped kitchen. The place itself is really nice and right by the beach, it's also walkable distance from Hiriketiya the surfing beach. You also can rent a scooter and the family is also available to help you organize anything you want. They're super nice people. We really recommend that place 🙂

The breakfast and food prepared was amazing. Nimal and his family are sure to make you feel at home and look after you during your stay. With a big smile and an open heart they’ll give you an authentic Sri Lankan experience of hospitality and you will almost definitely end up extending your stay !

Unfortunately we could only stay for one night otherwise we would have stay longer. Hosts are very kind, breakfast is excellent. The wonderful beach of dickwella is pretty closed by walk. Highly recommend ;)

Very close to the beach and run by a lovely family who were so helpful and accommodating. They helped us with getting a fair price when we needed Tuktuk’s and gave us advice whenever we needed it. The food was so delicious and there was so much of it! They also have a little shop next door so you’re able to get any basics you need.
