I loved the simplicity of the check in process , i e mailed her about an hour before arrival as i was not sure what time i would arrive , Eleanor the host emailed back instantly to let me know where the keys were ., we had a brilliant time at Colomendy and a fish and chips shop literarily round the corner also added to our joy as my family had been craving fish and chips

internet speed was slow but that isn't down to the property , also we didn't find any outdoor bin to put our refuse in so we had to leave them in bin bags in the kitchen

The main sofa isn’t the comfiest, we weren’t sat on it long as we were out exploring but a comfy sofa after a whole day of walking would have made this place perfect :)

The house is quirky but is an excellent period property that was very comfortable, warm and welcoming. There is plenty of space for a large group to spread, relax and enjoy the surroundings and being right at the heart of this small town (situated right on the town square) the position is perfect to enjoy the shops, museum and cafe. A brisk walk to the castle, less than a mile away afforded breath-taking views over the upper Severn valley. With the local Hotel, serving high quality and fairly priced meals and another local drinkers pub just a few strides away we enjoyed our family get-together and vowed to return.
