Loved this place. Serene, clean, great breakfast (eggs, tea, coffee, fruit, cereal). Raquel is so friendly and helpful. She booked the boat tour for me which I recommend for the lagoon. I had a very relaxing stay.

Bikes a little pricey 200 MEX for the day. But they’re good bikes with gears so it was worth it to explore Bacalar on bike for a few hours. The hotel is about 15 mins walk from the centre and restaurants. I didn’t mind walking at night and it’s safe, but a torch is useful to bring

Rachel ist a great host and the Hotel itself offers beautiful rooms with exceptional cleanliness. Breakfast was really nice as well and was served in the lovely garden. It’s a 10min walk out of down in a tranquil neighborhood, but the Hotel rents out bikes for approx. 10 Dollars a day. Also very close to the ADO station which is great if you travel by bus.

Some hammocks in the garden would be great :)

De hostess is really nice, kind and helpful. She helped us with bikes, scooter, boat tour and laundry services and all for really fair prices. In addition the breakfast is really good as well as the room.

The room was very simple but had everything needed, and it was clean and comfortable. The patio and the garden were nice and quiet, we enjoyed the breakfast served there. The owner was super nice, she waited for us even though we arrived very late in the night and she gave us lot of advices on the activities to do in town. The hotel is near to ADO station, which for us was a plus, but in a quiet street. 10 min by foot and you reach the main square and the sea. Excellent value for the price paid!

Host was excellent, gave us a map and information on arrival and booked us tours and taxis when we asked. The hotel was so clean and decorated beautifully. Breakfast was delicious, fruit, cereal toast and eggs cooked in 4 different ways. The hotel is close to the ADO bus station.

Location whilst a little further out is in a nice quiet area and close to the ADO bus station. The hotel is very new with comfortable bed and bedding. The garden is beautiful and the staff extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. We particularly loved the breakfast here. Really exceptional from what we've experienced in other parts of Central America.

The owner was super helpful with an issue I had. Breakfast was great.

Minor issue in this being a 15 min walk to town which made you feel you are out all day rather than popping back for a shower before going out in the evening etc.

I like the facilities were excellent condition, very comfortable.

I liked everything but something that could be a good idea is that the parking car has a ceiling to protect the cars for the sun and rain.

Rachel is a super host, very helpful and enthusiastic about making sure we knew all there was to do in the area. Rented bikes the very first day and got to see lots. Breakfast was great room cleaned daily, helped organise laundry and book a taxi to the airport. Highly recommend this stay.

I recommend this place, close to ADO station, quiet, with nice clean bedrooms with nice breakfast in the cute patio.

Small and quaint with a friendly, very welcoming staff. Short drive to all the Bacalar attractions. Stayed on our way up to Puerto Morales. Liked it so much we booked again on our return trip.

the stay was very comfortable (aircon was great, wifi was good for doing research / surfing the net / watching videos) and there was sufficient parking space. it was clean and room space was well thought out. water pressure during shower was great too also, the breakfast was simple yet very very good - there were cereal, fresh fruits, toast and eggs. perfect! very short drive from the lagoon area :)

if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Bacalar, look no further! we had the best time here, particularly due to the host, Rachel, who was amazing! Rachel helped us book a boat tour, organise onward transport to Belize and helped us to organise our laundry to be done. when we arrived in Bacalar she walked us through a map of the town and told us about the best things to do, which really helped us settle in and get a feel for the place. Every morning she prepared a great breakfast in the beautiful garden of the Gran Jaguar. the rooms were clean, turned over every day and the aircon worked great. I would highly recommend to anyone to spend the extra money to stay here, rather than going with a budget option!

Immaculate, clean, in quiet part of town. amazing attention from the host.

We really liked the owner of the hotel but also the room and the breakfast. We had a great stay!

We are so glad we chose to stay here. We booked very last minute, and all of the low budget options looked pretty bad. So we paid more than usual and had a fantastic time. Raquel is a superb host, who gives good information in Spanish or English. The breakfast in the garden is really top notch: cereal, coffee/tea, plate of fruit, toast and your choice of eggs. Every night was quiet and peaceful. Everything about the room was comfortable and tasteful. The location was totally fine, just a short walk into town and very close to the bus terminal. After spending 6 nights here I can strongly recommend it to anyone!

There was a power out during the night which made for a very hot and sweaty sleep. But this was not the fault of the property…it happened all over the town.

Everything was perfect, helpful manager who spoke English, beautiful garden, very nice rooms (fotos are exact, the reality was maybe even better), silent aircondition, tasty breakfast. I would add mabe one hammaka in the garden and it was about 10 min of walk to the centre, but still very reachable. The distance could be benefit too, because you can choose between local and more turistic restaurants.

Great garden with banana trees, turtles and in the evening we saw coatis in the trees. Breakfast was good with fruits, eggs, cereals and coffee or tea. Nice and helpful lady. Close to the bus stop and not to far from the center. Feels safe to walk in the night, the streets have a lot of lights.

For breakfast they serve fresh fruit, cereal, bread and offer in addition, eggs in different cooking styles. The room is facing a quiet street, has a comfortable bed, storing space, a small table with lamp and well equipped and ventilated toilet. Wifi works fine in every corner. Breakfast is served at a portico facing a beautiful garden with tropical trees. Parking is available outside the hotel. The hotel is located seven small blocks from downtown and the lagoon. Raquel, the hostess - a very energetic, kind and charming woman - is devoted to the complete satisfaction of her guests. She offers accurate information about the lagoon and the nearby worth visiting places.

I didn't like having to fly back home in the third day of stay. It was planned as a brief visit. However, Bacalar is worth stating a little longer.

Raquel, the host, made us feel home far away from our home :) We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast outside on the terrace was super peaceful and tasty! The room was clean!
