Underbart att sitta i mörkret bland stjärnorna och se ljuset komma med en kopp kaffe och varma bagetter från bageriet bredvid. Poolen var svalkande när solen steg upp och den kändes ren och fräsch. Vi nyttjade den varje dag liksom middagarna på det lilla mysiga hotellets restaurang. Man sover bra i sängarna och elen funkar nästan hela tiden och air condition finns om man vill ha den på. Mycket familjärt man känner sig som familj med ägarna och personalen.

Dabo house ontvangt je als een vriend. Het is gezellig en heeft een heerlijk zwembad. Het personeel zorgt echt voor je. Ik ben slecht ter been en men heeft mij overal naar toe gebracht. Echt fantastisch.

Good place to spend vacation. Friendly staff, large rooms good breakfast. Just next to the Coastal road but without traffic noise.

Loud music in the weekend night from neighboring bar, on the other hand weekdays were really quiet.

Dabo House is a sweet little hotel with plenty of character and kind, thoughtful, accommodating staff. It is convenient to shops, restaurants, and the beach, but in a location that does not feel touristy.

Dabo house is like an oasis in the middle of the African village. It is hospitable and it always feels like coming home.

Dabo guesthouse is a Nice place to stay- big open yard with possibility to relax at the pool or enjoy the time with other guests or the staff. Very kind and helpful staff, assisting both in smaller and bigger issues . Very nice vacation altogether. We will return here again.

We had a wonderful time at Dabo House. They are close to the beach, have a pool, free wifi, AC and a fan (for some hotels you have to pay extra for those) and breakfast was included. The staff was very attentive and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is good because it is not the touristy area so you are not harassed by people trying to sell you stuffs.

You get power cut sometimes but that is normal in the Gambia, and they have a generator in case of long power cuts.

Amazing little place, feels like a home away from home. Salif couldn't do more to make you feel welcome and adapt to your needs. The location is wonderfully peaceful but not too far from shops and other facilities. Would return in a heartbeat.

The pool was the perfect temperature. We were well taken care of the whole time. The location is close to the beach and shops. It was relaxing and nice to meet other international travelers.

Very friendly host. The rooms were clean and had a really good shower. The breakfast was very nice with a large fruit platter.

There is a traditional bakery next door. There is a lot of smoke in the air, evenings and mornings.

It was an amazing place to stay, I highly recommended it and will happily stay there again. The staff could not do enough for you. I mark it 11 out of 10.

Hubby's suggestion is maybe have a small TV and fridge in the rooms.

the staff was amazing! very friendly and very accommodating. they even allowed us to check out a little later and helped find a taxi. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. Everything was squeaky clean!

smoking on the compound is not allowed. Which is fair enough, but as a woman standing in a small road at night on my own is very uncomfortable. maybe a designated smoking area at certain times would be a solution?

Great local place with the staff so helpful and friendly. Everything was perfect and it is definitely great value for money. Breakfast is great and they can also cook lunch and dinner. There are also a couple of restaurants around with the Beach at walking distance as well (less than 2km). If you find it available do not hesitate and book it.

Property, staff and breakfasts are awesome. Clean, light and airy. The terrace furniture is especially comfortable when you want to enjoy outdoors. If you choose to have dinner there, Salif is an excellent chef. It's a wonderful place to relax and the atmosphere is perfect. If you're thinking about working while you're there you're going to need to be very disciplined because the place encourages fun and relaxation more than working. Though the space in the dining area provides a good laptop area. Get a djembe or kora lesson while you're at Dabo house. You won't regret it. Also, when you need a cab, let them know and they'll call a trusted cabbie for you. Reduces the haggle hassle on the street. The mini market is a 2-minute walk and is well-stocked. You get a shelf in the fridge at Dabo House so it's a good place to keep drinks and such.

Breakfast, 2eggs either fried, boiled,scrambled or omelette plus 1 frankfurter sausage, small plate of fruit, not much choice in fruit juice. bedding and towels changed only once in my stay of 28 days room cleaned only once in 28 days, for the money l paid for this accommodation ( £906.00 local currency GDM 61000.00 ) l do not expect to have to pay extra for these services,

Wow great place, very clean and comfortable, hot showers (most of the time)! As for the staff, we'll they could not be more helpful and happy, especially Salif who obliged our requests every way possible, he is worth every dalasis he earns and more! The owner Mr Dabo also accomodated us by allowing visits from the family we have in Gambia. Big thankyou to all.

No complaints at all!!

This place has a perfect location for pretty much everything, 15 minutes walk to the beach, supermarkets and restaurants are really close. But I prefer Salifs yummy food almost every evening! Salif, Amara and Mohamed are true gems who can help you with whatever you need, the owners are really nice also. I stayed in room 2, and the bed is so comfy! Toilet and shower is good. I love the pool area also. And all peace and quiet this place give. Really it is your home in Africa!

Nothing to dislike

We loved every minute of our stay at Dabo house , great hosting from Ulrika and the team. The staff are friendly and helpful , special thanks to Salif for looking after us and Yanmara ( apologies if spelling is wrong) for making it possible for us to watch the Arsenal football match , much appreciated. Lovely enclosed courtyard with pool and seating , clean , comfortable rooms and a good breakfast included, great value for money . We were lucky to be staying at the same time as a “ drum and dance “ group, lovely people , great entertainment, the performance on the beach was fantastic 👏👏👏.

The personal care from the staff, the little touches to help make the stay comfortable. A relaxed home to home experience. Dabo house is well 'oiled machine' made effortlessly by superb staff and in particular Salif, who is wonderful 👏

Breakfast was available when ever I was ready. Nice selection of bread jam cheese coffee tea juice fruits and omelette made to order with choice of filling. There was a fridge that you could store your drinks in.
