Breathtaking views from this gorgeous home on St. John. Perfect for a family or several couples, 3 well appointed bedrooms. Cooked breakfast every day in the gourmet kitchen and made use of the pristine grill with a sunset view of St. Thomas to the west. Very large pool for the island plus a hot tub that was great in the evening. Nicely appointed home with landscaping that made it feel like a private oasis. It will be difficult to return to St. John and not stay at Villa Capiz.

I don’t even know where to begin. Villa Capiz is a gorgeous home. The views are breathtaking! I honestly saw the most beautiful sunset of my life one evening. The house has so many beautiful touches. The pool is wonderful. The kitchen is fully stocked. We cooked the entire stay and never lacked any type of utensil, serving bowl, pot, etc. we also used the grill one evening. Lauren and Tori were available for all of our questions. We will definitely be returning to this special place. Thank you for sharing your home.

Absolutely beautiful, the hilltop view is breathtaking. Had everything we needed for our day to day living, did not do any cooking, so can’t address that, but many options for dining nearby. An added bonus was the beach chairs, beach towels and coolers, used them daily. You feel isolated because of all the foliage around, but there actually houses all around, not a bad thing because everyone is quiet and respectful. Loved the pool and the many options for outdoor seating, upstairs and downstairs. The only thing that gave us a problem was the area immediately adjacent to the entrance was gravel and difficult to turn vehicles around, but otherwise an awesome property and would not hesitate to stay there again!

This property is every bit as advertised. This villa delivers great sunset views and views of St Thomas. It's convenient to Cruz Bay and every other beach on this end of the island. The Villa is well stocked with beach chairs, toys, coolers and more to save you the hassle of bringing or buying. A special thanks to Tori and Keelan who are the best hosts on the island! They very kindly had our place fully stocked and saved us a trip to the grocery store so we could arrive and grill the first night in. Thank you!

We had a wonderful week at Villa Capiz. The house met all our needs for a week get-away with our three adult children. Great to come back from day excursions exploring the island to jumping in the pool and cooking nice dinners together while enjoying gorgeous sunsets. Beautiful home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Villa Capiz. The views are stunning. I agree with other visitors-the pictures don’t do this property justice. The villa is located approximately 10 minutes from Cruz Bay. The owners have put so much thought and care into this property and it shows. I loved the Indonesian decor. I found the beds very comfortable, although I like a soft bed. We fell in love with St John and will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

This is a beautiful property. The views are amazing, and you can definitely tell that the owners take pride in their home. We had 2 families with young children and it was great for us.

Everything was excellent-contact people, location, space., etc. The beds were uneven/lumpy and there was no tv in the master bedroom. That would be my only criticism. Thanks for a great vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Villa Capiz. St John is one of our favorite islands, and we feel this villa made our experience even better. For one, the views are spectacular and you never get tired of seeing them. Also, the neighborhood is quiet and you have plenty of privacy. After staying here a couple of days, we came to appreciate the pride and care the owners have put into it. The villa has been restored with a nice mix of restored original woodwork, and new quality materials. And, the expansive landscaping is gorgeous. I can only imagine the time and investment the owners put into it. Last, thanks to Katja for having a few provisions ready for us upon our arrival. That’s a service we really appreciated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during the week of July 3rd, 2021! Congrats to the owners on a stunning rebuild after the devastating 2017 hurricane season. In this beautiful villa, the sunsets were amazing and the local wildlife (pesky birds, loud roosters, and one feral Siamese cat) kept us entertained. Pack earplugs if roosters aren't your thing:) We have been coming to SJ since 1999 and boy has it gotten busy, probably a lot of it due to pent-up Covid feelings. If you want to find a parking spot at the beach, you need to leave by 8:30 am!!! We made this mistake the first day and it took forever for our 2 cars to squeeze onto the side of the road at Hawksnest. Once we figured that out, we were out early and back by the afternoon to enjoy the pool and sunset views with dinner on the deck. The pool floats and beach toys provided were fun and we also appreciated the leftover sunscreen. We DID run out of water by the end of the week. I think a sensor that tells you when the cistern is running low would be a good idea (we saw an advertisement for them in St. Thomas). Hopefully, the owners invest in a patio table the is NOT glass. One afternoon the current one (which is no mas) took one big gust of wind and shattered. Luckily, we were all upstairs making lunch when it happened, so no one was hurt. The cushions from the chairs of that patio set could use new coverings too. Peter and Gail were very helpful with any questions about the property and the Island. We rented boats from Ocean Runners and had a great time seeing SJ from the water. We were so happy with our stay there and can't wait to come back soon!!

The Villa Capiz was even better than the pictures. The view was incredible - best on the island. Loved the location near Cruz Bay with ease to drive down and enjoy happy hour! The beaches are incredible. We loved to use the hot tub and pool at the house. The beds were comfortable and plenty of places to sit and relax and spread out. The house had a lot of privacy. The property manager, Peter, was extremely responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful visit and hope to return someday! Soon!

Villa Capiz is wonderful. Peter was very thorough with instructions and ensuring we were settled in properly. Stunning views, lovely furnishings, complete kitchen. The pool was really nice with the fountain. Didnt use the hot tub since the outside temps were into 90s some days. The driveway gate takes getting used to but no big deal. You can turn around at the bottom, which we recommend as departing the driveway is on a blind turn. It’s a quick ride to town. We preferred to come via the route past the Westin, stopping at the less crowded SJ market on the left for provisions. This is faster route but much much steeper with sharp steep corners, use your horn! We have lived on SJ so we are used to it. Bedrooms were comfy, downstairs beds are softer due to memory foam tops. The modern beach towels were really great..ordered a few when we got home. Overall we did not want to leave. Would love to stay again.

Very nice property on St John visited in May 2021 with 4 adults The house is actually nicer than in the photos. There is nice space, especially outdoors and the beds are reasonably comfortable. The pool, hot tub and deck area are very nice. The downstairs bedrooms are nicer than upstairs. There is a lot of nice outdoor seating and a lovely view. There’s one bedroom upstairs and two downstairs—you need to walk outside to get to the downstairs bedrooms which are totally separate and is a bit of a drag in the rain and could be a problem for a family with little kids or wayward teenagers. We were there with our adult children so no trouble The location is farther from town than it appears on a map, about a 12-15 minutes drive. It’s more to the beaches, 20-25 depending on where you go. We felt the location was not ideal The house runs on solar power and rain water. Kudos to the owners for doing this. I don’t remember when I booked before paying in full getting all of the information about not using water if there’s a power outage (some others have generators but villa cruz doesn’t). Also the ad says there’s a washer and dryer but they ask you not to use it (and the dryer didn’t work anyway). We also received information about minimizing use of the oven, etc. This would not have deterred me from booking but It didn’t feel quite transparent The villa manager was very helpful and responsive

Villa Capiz is everything it is described to be and more. From the beautiful pool with cascading fountain, to the spectacular lighting, the well appointed kitchen and the huge showers, there was everything we could want. Cons...the roosters! If you are a light sleeper this may drive you nuts. But the roosters are loud all night and very early in the morning. The steep road leads to amazing views but the down side is you are stuck on the hill. I could never handle those hills, especially on the left side of the road, so my husband was the driver and we rarely left without a plan for the day or dinner in town. It is not a place you take a walk. Pros...town is pretty close. Views! Comfortable furniture. Great property manager. We'd highly recommend Villa Capiz.

It was Less than 10 minutes from downtown Cruz bay, providing an easy drive while far enough way to enjoy the peaceful tree frogs and birds every night! St John is a beautiful island. We recommend Just Fishing and Cat 5 for an amazing day on the water and them come home for a swim in the beautiful swimming pool. We will say Budget rent a car in St Thomas Airport was a disappointing. experience; however, easy to get over once you get to Villa Capiz..

Ohio in the winter is a descent into a cold grey purgatory. We escaped the gloom and spent a week at the splendid Villa Capiz. The house is perfect for families: lots of room, great and well stocked kitchen and enormous bedrooms. Situated close enough to town that shopping and excursions were close but far enough away from town to feel like you are in a secluded hillside resort. The agent was accommodating and always ready to help with any problem. The views, the pool, the gardens all were stunning. A great property and a wonderful time. Thank you so much for letting us share your bit of heaven on earth.

5 star everything!! The location was perfect, close to Cruz Bay, North Shore Beach’s and Coral Bay. The view was amazing!! There was always something different and we loved watching the boats come and go. The pool and hot tub were wonderful..... I could go on and on!!! We’ll be back again soon.

Villa Capiz is far and away exceeded our expectations. The house has everything you need and is better than pictured if that's possible. Endless hours spent outside on the beautiful pool deck with some of the best views I've had while staying on STJ. We will be back!

Villa Capiz exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to return to this beautiful home. We were there with 4 adults and 2 children and the house had plenty of space and activities for everyone- most of our time was spend swimming and enjoying the view. The owners and property managers have worked tirelessly to put this house back together after Irma and Maria and their efforts have certainly paid off. I could go on and on, but you should really go and see this beauty for yourself.

Villa Capiz was perfect for our family of 6 with three adults and three kids ranging from 8-13. The following are the highlights: 1. House inside: the layout was perfect with bedrooms accessible from inside and outside on the lower level. Bathrooms accessible from inside and outside by pool very convenient. Great sitting areas and kitchen and all the amenities needed. Great views from all rooms. 2. Outside: best part of house. Multiple decks and hangout areas on upper level And lower level. Pool was huge and hot tub was excellent. Used the grill a couple times which was great. The views were amazing. Sunset every night right in front of us. 3. Location: simple 10 minute drive to town and another 10 or so to the north shore beaches. Multiple routes to get to house. Perfect location for the views and close enough to drive into town for dinner. About 5 minute drive from supermarket. 4. Management: Peter was great and met us at boat and got us to rental car and house. Showed us around and checked in through out the week. We had no issues with property. Gail was great before answering our questions. 5. Other: had rafts, noodles, chairs, coolers, snorkel gear. Everything we needed for out beach days so we did not have to rent. Overall Saint John was amazing and Villa Capiz was the perfect house to come back to after a day at the beaches or a boat trip. We can't wait to come back!
