I arrived here from a 6 day stay in Lisbon at an excellent 4 star hotel (Hotel Principe Avila) and was looking forward to another 4 star property stay in Porto, however, there was a huge difference in the 2 properties with the same 4 star rating. Not sure what the criteria is for getting 4 stars, but the Porto hotel did not live up to its photos and descriptions on Booking. At best this should be a 3 star small boutique type hotel in my opinion.
+ friendliness and helpfulness of staff, particularly Luis
+great location and modern decor
+comfortable bed, strong water pressure in shower, comfortable A/C
+ and - small pastry snacks and coffee available for free in the small breakfast area (floor -1 with no windows) but pastries were sitting out uncovered for several hours
-dim lighting, particularly in the bathroom; only natural lighting came from solid wall that was close to sliding door (room 005)
-not soundproof, could hear slamming doors of adjacent rooms
-small rooftop bar disappointing and safety concerns for climbing up/down
-very limited breakfast choices (15 euro)
-no airport shuttle as listed on Booking.com but they will arrange transportation

Agencement très épuré, esthétique mais il manque des crochets pour les vestes, chapeaux etc.
L’accès à la penderie acrobatique, rayonnage quasi inexistant. 1 rayon pris pour un coffre, 1 rayon pris pour le mini frigo.
Le personnel sans âmes qui ne parle que portugais et anglais, en dehors de ça, aucun effort pour comprendre le français ou l’espagnol.on croirait qu’il ne nous aime pas. Il y a eu une exception avec une gentille hôtesse.

Der Früshstücksbereich ist viel zu klein dimensioniert für die Hotelgrösse und wir reisten ausserhalb der Saison. Tisch waren praktisch immer voll.
Das Fenster im Zimmer kann nicht geöffnet werden, da es sonst nach Fritöse riecht.

Hôtel super bien situé , proche de tout. Nous avons tout fait à pieds dans la majorité. Chambre et équipements confortable. Chambre toujours propre et nettoyer chaque jour. Toujours bien accueilli par les personnes de l’accueil avec un petit cadeau à notre départ. Je peux que recommander.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, se puede llegar andando a todos los lugares turísticos de Oporto. Además, la parada de metro que conecta con el aeropuerto está a 10 minutos andando.
Alrededor del hotel hay muchísimos restaurantes y bares donde comer y tomar algo, barrio con un gran ambiente.
La habitación estaba muy limpia y nueva.
La cama era demasiado blanda, creo que eran dos camas de 90 que las habian juntado y puesto alguna manta para no caerse por el hueco

A localização é excelente , próximo aos principais pontos turísticos, os funcionários são extremamente educados e gentis, as instalações são muito confortáveis .

We were given a time slot for breakfast. Tables not cleaned & no staff around. The choice was good but not replenished frequently. Had to ask for cups & plates & for the bacon as there was none left.

The staff were so friendly. Fruit-infused water & fruits at the lobby were fantastic touch. Welcome drinls at the terrace bar was awesome. Room was clean & big.
Somehow, all the lights were connected to just 1 switch. Going to toilet in the night meant switching on all the lights.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The whole property was clean. The rooftop terrace is a beautiful place to enjoy a sunset. The hotel location is conveniently near transit and many restaurants/bars.
There is a loud noise made by the Bluetooth speaker system in the guest rooms when you enter. I could hear this noise coming from other guest rooms while trying to sleep at night.

The hotel staff were extremely kind. We made a wrong reservation and arrived one month early then reserved. The staff helped us immediately, gave us a room and treated us with respect and extreme kindness.

The loacation is very good in the centre of Porto
The bartender was very rude he did agree for us to open a bottle of wine on the rooftop where the bar is

Location was good, walking distance to sights and bars.
Only one access key meant power was off when you went out so devices couldn't be charged if you weren't in.
Bathroom light was linked to the room light so you couldn't turn it on independently.

After reading the excellent reviews we came away disappointed, despite the friendly welcome and the nice roof top bar.
Very small rooms, dark drab furnishings. The photos of the rooms are misleading. Tiny bathroom. Poor lighting with weird light switch controls. Very expensive for what you get. We cut our stay short, checked out early, got overcharged, “mistake” only rectified when I checked the receipt. Glad we left.
