This place is a jewel of a find. Great location by a perfect beach. Veronika and her husband have created a stylish eclectic perfect place to relax. With a great friendly staff team organising anything you need. The food was really great, beautifully presented. The cocktails superb. You really feel this is a place with authenticity. We so enjoyed our stay.

I couldn't fault it. From the location, the room - we were in a garden bungalow, to the food and the ambience it was great.

the location is unbelievably nice! right at a paradise beach! no people, just endless white sand. the owners don’t know a lot of English so communication was a little difficult sometimes but they are sooooo nice! the breakfast was the best in Sri Lanka so far. room is big and airy

the pool was dirty and could not be used

We stayed first in the beach house and this was a little to small for two adults and a two year old. Beds very small and space small. it’s romantic but with a kid not to recommend (hot, bright and loud) Then we moved to the garden house and this is just a dream. Huge bed, wonderful bathroom outside garden super nice garden few and just a dream! The staff is really sweet, food western and sri lancken style (try the porridge!) and the aerial is huge. The ocean and beach more or less alone. You can really calm down here. it’s all together such a lovely place with lovely people and on of the most beautiful accommodation in tangalle for sure

The empty beach was good fun. The chef is a kind woman who obviously love cooking.

For starters, the owner, Veronica is the rudest person I have came across. I first booked the property thinking that it belonged to 5 women as one of the pictures could suggest. In fact, the place is actually a compound of 2 properties- the Cabanas that go along with the restaurant + what they called “Big House”, which is a building with several studios, that belongs to Veronica. I hope this feedback will sincerely help them improve their offer. - The Big House is poorly maintained despite a nice design. We barely had water in the shower and no hot water. The small pool is dirty and unusable (full of sand, leaves and dead flies). The food was not to our taste despite the Russian chef effort. Too much salt, not flavorful, too much coconut oil used everywhere which caused us gastrointestinal discomfort. For breakfast we have had very limited choice between porridge OR eggs + fruit plate. No coconut milk (or vegetable milk) option available. Unless the price per night is 45USD, book somewhere else.

Wonderful location, right on a secluded beach. We loved the open-air shower that belonged to our apartment and the staff (especially Malika) was very nice. Delicious breakfast. Also liked the way the owner handled when there was a small issue with our apartment and offered us another apartment immeadiately. it was very nice that when we went on an early morning safari they prepared us a take-away breakfast. I recommend Five, don’t hesitate to book it. If we return to Tangalle we will choose Five again.

The lack of air-conditioning made it hard to sleep (the ventilator was not enough). We had an impression that the service overall was not well oiled yet but that didn’t cause us any discomfort.

The family that owns the property and their staff were really welcoming and made us feel at home throughout our stay. The food was always excellent and the atmosphere surrounded gardens was amazing! Hope to revisit again.
