Accommodations were as expected. Communication with the host was great.

I’d equate this to a Motel 6 type of property. We had dozens of red ants in the kitchen and back deck. There is no AC and on a very busy street, so sleeping is difficult with the windows open. This is the first property where we’ve been asked to take out the trash and start the laundry. Nothing special about this property. The owner took 2 months to reply to questions.

We had a few issues in the beginning with showers working but Denise was very quick to respond and provide assistance for correcting all the issues.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and will continue to come back! We love the location which is just a little over a mile from town. The property is clean and it accommodated our group and guests nicely.

This was perfect for 3 girlfriends on their first trip to the island! Overall house was as expected, there was a broken shutter in the upstairs bathroom and we were a little worried the neighbors could see in! And it did get slightly noisy at night if you left the windows open, but overall was a great stay!

The house looks like the pictures but in person it smells of mildew and is extremely moist, especially in the lower basement level. The paint on the trim is chipping and the yard looked uncared for. We arrived on Wed and early Thurs am a crew of roofers showed up and took all of the shingles off the front of the house. There goes all of the Nantucket charm! After they finished, 3 hours later, they finally left, we were unable to enjoy our morning at home because of the loud banging and removing of the shingles. None of the windows had curtains so there was no privacy and we woke up early w the sun every morning. The neighborhood is very busy and the street is not quiet and it’s considered a noisy pass though to the Main Street. Thankfully, we had nice weather so we didn’t have to spend much time at the house. I can’t imagine staying in the lower level bedroom while it was raining, it smelled so musty and the bathroom floor was wet and the sheets and comforter were damp. Don’t let the price fool you into staying here, spend more money and get a nicer place!

We loved the Unit, exactly what we needed for 6 people looking for a place to stay for a few days. Very clean and we fit comfortably, for the value it was great!

This house was a great location very central to get to all the island offers!

Very surprised by the house which was very overpriced for both the xo diction of the house and the cleanliness. The sheets and towels were old and the white couch in the living room was filthy . Felt like someone lived there normally and vacated when we arrived. Odd group of people in neighborhood. We didn’t know the house is a duplex with neighbors who seemed less than happy that the house is rented out. Not sure why there was a $500 fee on top of the rental plus a cleaning fee. We asked but never got an answer. Would have cancelled but strict cancellation policy. And really surprised that we were asked to strip the beds and start the laundry (but left a day early so didn’t want smelly laundry for owner) and empty the dishwasher before we left! What’s the cleaning fee for then?? Disappointed but didn’t stay much other than sleeping.

What a great place! Exactly as shown online — clean, comfortable, cozy and in a great location. Backyard was perfect. The place had everything we needed and fit our group of 6 comfortably. Highly recommend!

First, I'll start with the pluses. Denise was very easy to contact. We had an issue with the condo not be completely cleaned. When we brought it to her attention, she seemed genuinely concerned and I trust she took care of the matter. (We did not tell her until after our visit.) Second, it is very close to a bus stop, and the bus is so easy to use!! And having the beach chairs to use was very nice and convenient! Unfortunately, that's all I have for the pluses. While the condo is walking distance to town, it is a long walk along busy streets. The condo is in a residential neighborhood, but it is an extremely loud neighborhood at night. We stayed for four nights and every night there was a party across the street. We dreaded going back to the condo at night because of the noise. We tried to find any excuse to stay out as late as possible. The upstairs bathroom was pretty much useless for us. There are half shutters on the windows, but one of the shutters was broken. We were able to drape a towel to make up for the broken shutter, but that still didn't allow us to shower in there. My sister and I are both tall, and since the bathroom windows face the neighbor's windows, we would have given the neighbors quite a show if we had stripped down!! This meant we had to use the bathroom in the basement. Unfortunately, it was so musty down there, we couldn't use the bedroom there to make it a little more convenient for one of us. The half shutters are also in the upstairs bedrooms. This made the bedrooms very bright early in the morning (which isn't good when you've been up late listening to music and yelling from the party.) This is shown in the photos, so it was our fault for not noticing that.

This place is just as it is advertised--clean and tidy. Did need replacement of lightbulbs in bathroom and living area, however. We enjoyed our stay even though the weather wasn't very cooperative for our family wedding!

Booked this place with a few friends for a wedding in Nantucket. The home was comfortable, clean, and inviting. Location is convenient, as it is only a short 10 min ride into Town. Perfect for our stay.

The cottage is beautifully decorated with lots of special touches that bring out the Nantucket atmosphere. The backyard area is also very nice. The neighborhood is busy and has a lot of through traffic and road noise during the night but you are convenient to downtown and restaurants and shops.

This property was great for what we needed! It had plenty of space probably could’ve had a few more people (there were only 4 of us). I would say without a car the location was a little inconvenient as it’s mostly residential and driving distance from the town and beaches (although there are some cafes walking distance). But for the price it was perfect! Would definitely stay again.

Essex had a comfortable bed and bedroom for the three of us. The unit was not clean upon arrival and the property manager had an emergency so communication was hard. It was very humid and warm our first two days and since Essex is in a lively, active neighborhood, the upstairs rooms were a little loud. We were cozy and had what we needed since we spent our days enjoying the island.

We are looking forward to returning again next year.

We really enjoyed our stay! There was 6 of us and 2 dogs…and we had plenty of room. I was so impressed how clean and how roomy the property was. The location could not have been better. We were close to town and the stop and shop. The location is also walking distance to a park and dog park. While the property isn’t totally fenced in… there was enough fencing to keep the dogs somewhat enclosed. We just had to keep our eye out on them. Thank you Denise (property manger). It was a fabulous stay! We hope to come back again!

Place was spotless. Denise was great with communication. Location is perfect, we brought bikes and biked everywhere. Rented a jeep to drive to other side of island to explore. Highly recommend the Muse bar, it is a 2 minute walk from the house. Downtown is a quick bike ride. We walked from Chickenbox to house (30 min walk). Walking from downtown to house (20 min walk)

Good! Had a great visit; location worked out very well!

We entered property at designated check in time to find the beds rumpled and unmade, dirty wet towels all over bathroom. Garbage in kitchen and baths. Called owner, who called cleaning staff and returned a call with the explanation that the previous weekend had been busy on Nantucket and that they would be coming soon. Cleaning staff arrived and cleaned the property around us including doing the laundry while we waited for them to finish. Property has signs of general wear and lack of upkeep. Handles missing on some cabinet/drawers in kitchen. Bottom door coming off the stove. Silverware mismatched aging pieces and there was not a knife that could cut lemons or steak/chicken. Some of them had handles that were falling apart. Had to buy a knife to pass around the table to cut our meat at dinner. Bring your own. Toilet in basement had broken handle and rusty radiators in disrepair. Musty moldy smell in basement “family room” and bedroom. I had contacted owner and told 1 TV. I made assumption that it would be in the main living area of the property-the open kitchen, dining room, living room area. Dining room table was the only place for all four of us to sit together comfortably. However, TV located in room in the basement furnished with a day bed and a few kitchen chairs and smelled musty. We attempted to use the directions for TV but they were inaccurate. Finally figured out the cable TV to find it had very Basic cable. There was a box of various movies but no devices to play them on. Decided that area was generally not desirable to use and ended up streaming TV on iPad in the living room/dining room. Area might be usable for gaming if you had kids/teens and bring your own devices with cables and are not sensitive to the damp smell. We bought a plug in room freshener to use in the basement bedroom because we had to use the bedroom to accommodate our group. The backyard had general lack of attention. Unkept landscaping with bags of unused mulch. Porch and siding mildewed/mossy. Table, chairs, umbrella aged/worn. Beach chairs worn and torn, did not use. Gas grill ignition broke-unable to light. There is a mouse problem in house-saw live ones running around nightly and picked up 4 dead/dying ones. Notified owner who said she would get exterminator. Property generally needs upkeep/facelift but I guess you get what you pay for as it was very affordable for Nantucket though in a tight neighborhood a ways from downtown as advertised.

Great location in mid-island, had all the essentials and nice backyard space. Having a car is likely a necessity. Would stay again!

Picture was misleading. I thought we would be walking distance to town. We appreciated the cooler and beach chairs. Easy parking. One bathroom on each level. Lower level would have been lovely if not so mustyl

This condo was nicely decorated and had a lovely yard which was well landscaped. There was no air conditioning (never a problem before in Nantucket but we had an unusually hot and humid week). We picked up 2 fans in Stop and Shop for $22 each and that greatly helped.

Vacation rental was excellent. Very open and comfortable, nice back deck, nice outdoor shower, perfect location to town and beaches. We really enjoyed our stay.

This location is central to everything… 2 miles to town-2 miles to surfside…. Location is also busy working class neighborhood that seems to be short cut around some of the busier intersections… the front upstairs room gets the most of the street noise… back room and basement room were quiet. Except for a couple of nights waiting for the partying to die down this was a great spot and well worth the price.

Located a mile and a half from town and Surfside, this property offered a comfortable stay for our family. Thank you Denise for your hospitality.
