Excellente adresse: bel hôtel qui marie l'ancien et le moderne. Belle chambre confortable (lit juste un peu mou); environs agréables et belles promenades; les gens du village sont charmants et le personnel de l'hôtel très agréable. Un grand parking à l'accès facile; bon dîner au bar et bon petit déjeuner.

The Avalon is my first choice of hotel when visiting my family in Kilkenny. The rooms are really comfortable and tastefully decorated, the inclusion of a coffee machine is very welcome. The hotel has a very homely atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, so kind and friendly. I would really recommend breakfast, a good selection of local produce really well cooked and served. Thank you for another wonderful stay

Hotel was clean

Overpriced, the front desk guy was rude, no sound proofing therefore could not sleep with the disco going on two floors below us. Two single beds velcro'd together which kept separating. No bath but room was equipped with a shower with no way way of keeping water from flooding the entire bathroom floor, therefore shower soaked the entire bathroom which was hazardous trying to use the bathroom after a shower, no shelf's etc in bathroom to place toiletries. Upon check out, the lady at the front desk barely said two words to us, common courtesy to ask how was your stay etc. I can understand one front of desk person having a bad day but two, seems like they couldn't be bothered with customer service. Customers should be made aware of noise from functions prior to booking. €249 for a few hours sleep is excessive

Very nice hotel. Whatever food came out of the kitchen, it was a bomb! Well done to chef.

Morning breakfast... ordered from kitchen-again, excellent in taste.. but short for supply. There was no bread, pastries... nothing on the self-service, Swedish table... empty glasses and juice and empty spaces where pastries, selection of ham, cheese ect was... staff were young and unable to explain reassure.. a bit lost, so many unhappy customers that morning and a chaos... things happen, but simple sorry or idea of settling the situation would be appreciated if not from the waitress than manager... It's such a pity because the place looked stunning in design and was comfy. Last night dinner was amazing, cool location.

Food was excellent and fairly priced Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were spotless. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The shower was over a small bath. I’d have preferred a walk in shower.
