This apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. Berenice and her team are fantastic and communication is excellent. The location of the apartment is great, Chartrons and all its restaurants and shops is just a few minutes away behind the apartment. We really enjoyed our stay.

Good communications right from booking stage to arrival, stay and departure. The apartment is perfect for the tram, play parks, shops, bars and restaurants. A really good place to stay and super quiet at night. Very much recommended.

Lovely appartment with a view over the river, very well equipped and decorated. Comfy beds and generous living space. The shower could do with some maintenance but there is a bubble bath too so that makes up for it!

We had a great time in Bordeaux at Bérénice's apartment. Everthing you need is supplied (including a surprisingly spacious laundry room) and you're super close to anything else you could want. The neighborhood is really lively, but also safe -- and quiet at night. AC was a wonderful plus since it was quite hot while we were there.

This flat is perfect and the owner is amazing. We stayed in the flat as a family of four two adults and two kids ages 11 and 6. We came after quite a stressful experience from our prior trip. The owner went above and beyond to help us during an incredibly difficult time. She was absolutely fabulous. Her response time was amazing. The flat itself is located in the heart of the city with access to all tourist attractions and restaurants. The flat is clean and easily accommodates any family with everything you need. The lift is necessary for any luggage. The flat makes you feel just like at home. There's simply nothing you will need that is not in the flat. Absolutely recommend in every way the owner and the flat.

This was a long awaited trip and was well worth the wait. Berenice is outstanding and so is her property. It has everything including an elevator, garage, two big bedrooms, bathtub, shower, washer, dryer, and a dishwasher. But the BEST part of this apartment is the VIEW. It is awesome. So many of my pictures from Bordeaux are from her terrace. Also Eglise-Saint Louis-Des-Chartons in the back of the apartment is amazing at sunset. We will definitely be going back to Bordeaux (it is such a charming city with great people) and when we do we will be staying at Berenice's place: A Terrace With a View.

We spent a week visiting Bordeaux and found this property to be a perfect location for our visit. You could walk to anywhere in the city, had a great view from the balcony and getting to the countryside to visit Chateaux was no problem. Berenice was most welcoming and accommodating.

The apartment is beautiful and spacious. Extremely comfortable, lacking nothing. One of the nicest VRBO's that we have ever stayed in. The view over Bordeaux and the river creates an elegant ambiance. We loved Bordeaux. We stayed 5 nights and there was more that we wanted to see. Great restaurants everywhere ( kitchens close from 2:30 until 7:30 and many closed on Sun. and/or Mon.), but that didn't stop us from having great lunches and dinners everyday. Berenice was wonderful. Very professional with booking and always sensitive to our needs. While away on vacation she arranged for Eliane to meet us and acclimate us to the details of the apartment. She left us some scrumptious caneles, called to see how things were going, visited us upon her return and offered to call the cab the early morning of our departure. When you combine the attentiveness of the owner, with this gorgeous apartment, you get a five star rating.

Words cannot describe the beauty of this apartment. The balcony has the most beautiful view and we enjoyed sitting out there every evening of our 5 day stay. Our host and her assistant are two of the kindest people you will ever meet and we had very easy communication. Every question was answered in a very timely fashion. The apartment is very luxurious, the beds super comfy with high-end linens. There is a jacuzzi tub which feels wonderful after a long travel day. Complete with a washer/dryer so you don't have to pack as much since you can do laundry. The kitchen is very well equipped so you can cook as we did one night. Everything you need including a wine decanter for that lovely bottle of wine that you might buy after visiting the beautiful Medoc region that is so very close.The apartment is only two blocks from the town square where there are so many places to eat, Chez Dupont was our favorite and we celebrated my birthday there. The host has lots of books about the region so you can find inspiration for how to explore the region. The apartment is the entire top floor of a beautiful building built in the 17th century as a wine cave and such great care has been taken to keep the historical features of the building in tact. There is also a private elevator to the apartment which wonderful for me with disability issues. Such a bargain compared to a hotel or other Homeaway for what you get, a very spacious, elegant and comfortable home with a gorgeous view and very wonderful location, close to everything you want to do in Bordeaux. Do not hesitate, you won't be sorry,

Great location - you can walk everywhere. Lots of space to hang out and enjoy the view. The Sunday market is right out front and it’s a must! Berenice was the perfect host - all of your questions are answered and she has great information in a book for restaurants, shopping and sites. Check in and check out went exactly as promised. I will recommend this flat to everyone!

This apartment was very comfortable, spacious and clean with a beautiful view of water/promenade. Easily walkable to most attractions. I would have given this apartment 5 stars except the host became quite rude a day into our stay with her communication to us. We had to change our arrival time unexpectedly (2 hours later than expected) for which we provided over 4 hours notice. She thanked us for letting her know and made arrangements to have her housekeeper let us in but the following day we received a very rude email blaming us for the delay and the inconvenience it caused her. The rude communication was surprising and not appreciated. Aside from that the apartment was lovely and we would recommend to others. Onsite parking is very tight and as such was not convenient for us. We found parking at a lot down the street much easier.

Great location, clean property and easy check in.

This apartment is a treasure. Large, nice sitting/ living area, great dining space and an absolutely stunning view of the balcony. The washer/ dryer did a good job. When we're stayed the weather was up and down and the heating/ air conditioning seemed to work well. I always have trouble with units with nothing but symbols. It got very cold our last two days and even though it always seemed to be blowing cold air the home never got cold so it worked. Some nice touches should be mentioned like an extra large hot water tank so we're never had to worry, the shower has both stationary rain head and hand held, also I seem to always slip in the shower this one had a mat to put down to avoid that. Berenice also has a wonderful welcome book with super recommendations. I hope we make it back to Bordeaux and if we do I only hope we are able to stay here.

This was our second stay in Bernice and Georges' absolutely gorgeous apartment overlooking the Garonne River. As with the first time two years ago, our 9 day stay was perfect. Perched high above the Garonne shortly before it flows into the Atlantic, the apartment is perfect for anyone who wants to either while away the hours watching the river traffic from the huge balcony or plunge right in to the exciting city of Bordeaux by hopping on the tram (which is only a few steps away from the apartment ) or walking along that same river. The apartment, located in the now very trendy Chartrons District, is beautifully furnished and impeccably clean with lightening fast internet,a huge modern bathroom with separate toilet compartment, a large dining table and a lovely well equipped kitchen. Include the added bonuses of a washer/dryer combination and air conditioning in every room and you have perfection. Bernice, who is the epitome of Gallic charm, can't do enough for her guests. She has stocked the apartment with guidebooks and maps to make exploring Bordeaux easy. At the risk of being redundant, I will not repeat what all the other reviewers have posted. I will simply say je suis d'accord . Merci Bernice and Georges for an absolutely wonderful second visit. As we said before, we will be back.

Berenice and her staff were very nice and graciously welcomed us to their beautiful apartment. The terrace has a gorgeous view of Bordeaux. The apartment is very comfortable. (Save the four floor walk-up - HOWEVER, good exercise after all of the delicious food and wine we consumed.) It was a very hot week, but every room is very nicely cooled with multiple, quiet AC units. We slept well. The location is spectacular. Everything is walking distance. Behind the apartment is Saint Louis-Des-Chartrons and a quiet square with a delicious collection of boulangerie, cafes and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Fabulous 2 bedroom apartment in great location with excellent service from owner, stayed with my wife and 2 teenage daughters, plenty of room and great balcony with views,highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the flat. The location was very convenient and the accommodations were very spacious and comfortable. The terrace provided a picturesque view of the city's riverfront. The Sunday market directly across the boulevard along the waterfront was fantastic, with a smaller version on Thursday. The metro/tram stop was right near the apartment, although we prefer to bike in the city to see the sights. The city bike docks were right there as well, so that worked out very well for us. We had the good fortune of being there at Bastille day that provided an excellent vantage point for viewing the rather impressive fireworks show. The apartment is very secure and parking for an extra fee is available on-site in the garage below the building. Adhere to the car size limitations as stated and you'll find it very convenient (we had a VW Golf 4-door hatchback that had no issues with the space). There is much to explore near the apartment as far as restaurants and shopping. But also it is not far from the vibrant city nightlife scene. Our stay was for 4 nights, but we could have easily done a week in Bordeaux, as it is a beautiful city with much to offer. I would recommend it.

Perfect apartment for 2 couples. Toilet and shower were in separate rooms which made it easy to get ready in morning. Nice coffee maker and plenty of tools for kitchen preparation. Washer/dryer was an added plus. We stayed 3 days before our rivercruise and loved the location, just walked across the street to board our ship. Berenice has all the brochures for exploring the many attractions around Bordeaux. She speaks great English and was able to help us with all our questions. Thanks for a wonderful time, can't wait to return!

What a fantastic apartment, ideally situated, right on the river, close to the main shopping district and all the historic sites. We spent quite some time weaving around the small roads in Chartrons, there are some fantastice little 'one-off' places, shops, antiquities, bistros and restaurants. The apartment is really well equipped with all the essentials and more and what a view over the Garonne. The apartment is also really easy to get to from the airport and is just a bus and then short tram journey away. Stongly recommend this apartment and we hope to be back soon!

This is one of those apartments that is better than the pictures, with loads of space and built to a very high standard. We would definitely return. The location is excellent and very walkable, but the tram is also conveniently close. Loved it!

We had a great time staying in this apartment. The view is amazing and it really feels like a home from home. The area it is situated in is one of the nicest with great restaurants and shops just around the back. Although the apartment is very central it's incredibly quiet once inside. Berenice was very helpful and gave us tips on where to eat and visit. A lovely break.

We stayed here in Bordeaux in Sept 2016, and everything about this place was amazing. Just a perfect location in the heart of the fun Chartrons neighborhood and close to the historic downtown. Breakfast on the sunny balcony every morning overlooking the river was fantastic. Berenice was on vacation when we visited, we were sorry to miss meeting her, but her housekeeper was very patient with our very limited French and both were very quick to respond to any questions. We will be back!!

We stayed at Berneice's lovely apartment for three nights earlier this month. She was the perfect host, responsive and helpful, and the apartment was spacious, well situated, and provided us everything we needed for a family of four. The location was excellent, view of the river was beautiful and it was close enough to walk to all of the tourist spots, yet far enough away that we did not feel inundated with tourists. There was helpful information in the apartment, maps, tour books, you name it; and the apartment had every amenity you could possibly want. We highly recommend this apartment, and if we were ever to return to Bordeaux we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
