Felt under duress to provide IDs after payment. I had past my refund date before the owner sent me the “new” privacy policy. And the need for IDs. Not being able to handle a small amount of a noise on a Saturday afternoon is ridiculous. We were out the whole day and got home around 2pm, at 4:47pm got a call from Darren, the owner, stating the neighbours said my decibel rating was too high for their liking. If your neighbours don’t like noise. Don’t hold an stayz. Let alone for a large group of people. A quote from the neighbour: “this group was horrendous. The constant yelling and screaming is ridiculous”. For the record, the constant yelling and screaming was a happy birthday song. We got a complaint stating that we were at 69 decibels. This was recorded from the invasive security camera system above us, roughly 1% of that noise is heard from 10-15m away. An average hairdryer has a range of 65-95 decibels, a vaccum cleaner and alarm clock range around 70. I received a photo of our decibel rating from what we would assume is the backyard camera unless the delightful neighbours have an app. Darren also said to me over the phone that if the neighbours took it to council he wouldn’t be able to afford. To sum up - Uncomfortable for the camera in the backyard. - headboard in one room not connected to wall - Spa set at a luke-warm temperature unable to be changed. - Pans were dirty. - Blinds next to camera broken

The family had a wonderful time. Plenty of space for all. Beautiful pool & hot tub out the back door. One of the rooms had a cot & change table. Much better for bub than using our portacot. Will definitely stay there again for our annual family get together.

Had a wonderful time. Great house for families to share, better than we expected. Pool was great. Unfortunately the jacuzzi jets didn’t work which was a shame. The air con failed on the Saturday which made it uncomfortable to sleep as it was a hot weekend.

We stayed with some family and toddlers but had an awful experience with the owner prior to our stay. He sent through new terms and conditions after we had paid in full and less than two weeks before we were due to stay. He insisted that we provide photo IDs of all guests and also wanted childrens full names and dob which he claimed was due to NSW fair trading legislation in the code of conduct. When I told him I felt uncomfortable about sending all that over the internet and that it should have been part of the initial contract he just replied to contact NSW fair trading about it and was very argumentative and rude with his replies when I told him their responses. After many phone calls and a lot of stress we were given written confirmation from both Stayz and NSW fair trading that this isn't a requirement from them. Stayz contacted the owner to let him know this and that he needed to honour the original agreement. He also had not disclosed within the original listing that there were security cameras directly looking over pool and spa area. He has since updated his listing to include this and the IDs but note that it is not a requirement from NSW fair trading to provide photo identification of all guests. NSW fair trading especially were not impressed with sending that information online due to all the privacy breaches that have occurred recently. Owner has similar reviews on this platform and the other main holiday rental accomodation platform. The house itself was nice we especially loved the pool and location. But our family were all quite stressed about how we were treated so it made it a very bittersweet trip. I wish we had never booked there in the first place.

Darren you were so easy to work with and I commend you on your communication during the entire booking process! This house is set up perfectly and you are guaranteed a good getaway. Would not hesitate to stay again if we were back in the area.

My extended family and I had a wonderful week at Darren’s house. Set in a quiet neighbourhood, just a short stroll from Wamberal Beach and the local shops, the house was child friendly and well equipped for a very comfy holiday. After a day at the beach, there was plenty to do at the house for kids and adults alike - swimming pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, pool table, outdoor BBQ and cinema room. Overall an excellent place to stay! Probably one of the best we’ve stayed at. Thank you Darren for being a great host. We’d love to stay again.

We had a really enjoyable family getaway at Darren’s place, wish it had been longer! Communication was great, Darren replied to any queries promptly by text.

Darren was very helpful with all requests, the place itself is a little dated but it has plenty to do with 3 big rooms to congregate. We had an issue working out the TV's as they have dated instructions, But Darren was very quick to reply and helpful with the instructions. Would be good in Summer with the nice pool. Overall we still had a great weekend.

Beautiful roomy property with entertainment for all attendees with a pool table, ping pong table, jacuzzi, pool and cinema room! Heaps to do especially if you wish to stay in doors! Very clean property and Darren is very easy to deal with

This property has everything for a large group, with the pool, spa, games room and most of all the home cinema meaning even in bad weather when the beach might be out of reach you have all you need for a great getaway. The property is well situated in Wamberal, a short walk to cafe and shops or a quick drive to Erina Fair.

We had such a wonderful time staying at the property! The facilities are amazing - especially the backyard with the pool and spa. The overall layout of the house and amount of bathrooms is so great for big groups. We would all love to come back and stay agai!.

I have had a wonderful experience at this place. Rooms were clean and comfortable and other things like interior, pool and everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place for anyone who’s looking for a nice place to stay in gosford. Overall i had a great experience and the host was incredibly helpful and the amenities were great. Thank you! Will definitely recommend to my friends!

What made this stay even better was that the process to check in was so easy and efficient and I needed to contact Darren for the password and he was helpful and replied straight away. It would have been better to be able to stay outside till 11pm however understanding of the neighbour and others around.

The owner was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. The cinema room and outside area is great. The towels could use. Updating and the beds were very soft but otherwise an enjoyable stay. Recommend for a summer break

Our family of 6 with 2 young toddlers stayed for a weekend away. The property needs some attention particularly with cleaning and maintenance. The games room was unplayable. We were disappointed considering the amount of money we paid. It definitely did not reflect the property. The main thing was we got to spend time together and made the most of what we could.

We just visited this house last weekend and had a great time.Location is great, beach only a 2 minute drive, a nice coffee shop within walking distance.House is a good entertainer, caters for all age groups, kids had a ball.

Lots of rules which we did abide by but keeping children quiet in the pool was impossible. One thing I would suggest is the Linen and bedding need to be updated in line with the nightly cost of property it was like it was just thrown together. We have rented properties before and definitely expected more for the price
