The house itself is well laid out, with open living/dining/kitchen area for socializing and four bedrooms for privacy. We particularly enjoyed the screen porch, which overlooks a wooded backyard. I will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Destin.

My family and I have stayed at this home before in 2020. The home was more attractive than our recent stay. The home needs more maintenance. The walls are cracked and the upstairs restroom did not work which was an inconvenience for 10 people living there. The first day the heater would not work. The home was freezing until maintenance came back twice to fix it. Overall it was a nice stay but I don’t know if I would stay there again.

Literally a 2 min walk to the beach, a private, gated entrance to little subdivision. Kids had a blast in the pool and playing football in the street (worked perfectly withoutuch traffic at all). Our family had plenty of room for everyone to sleep/hangout. Kids loved the fact they had their own balcony and jacuzzi tub 😊 Someone from company was quick to bring over a tank refill for gas grill when I messaged stating the one there was empty. Only suggestion would have been to supply a few more beach towels as well as garbage bags for bigger groups like we had. My entire family requested we rent from this company again for a summer trip. Thank you!!

Let's start with the positive. Great floor plan, community pool and tennis courts are in excellent shape, right across the street from public beach access, and a central location for activities and dining. Massive negatives unfortunately. The kitchen was completely inadequate if you plan on cooking. Only 6 drinking glasses for home designate for 12, no cutting board, 2 trash bags for 5 nights, 1 dish towel, 1 small bottle (size of hotel shampoo) of dish soap for 5 nights. Overall maintenance not what you would expect from a million dollar home – 2 bedroom ceilings with cracks and water spots, upstairs master closet full of holes where wire shelving once was installed, upstairs master balcony door could not be unlocked, upstairs balcony table was rusted to the point of falling apart, and the dryer would not dry more than a few pieces of clothing at a time.

Had a wonderful family vacation! The property was beautiful and location was wonderful. Walk to the beach! Restaurants and shops nearby. Would definitely recommend!!

The property was beautiful and perfect for for our family only with the house was that the dryer didn’t work even after someone came out to service it. And if you are an minority be careful some people aren’t polite happy about you being there the security guy thought my brother was lying about staying in the neighborhood even after he gave him the address and was taking pictures of him and some other black kids but overall the trip was great

Air conditioner did not work for all five nights we were there. We were hot at night sleeping and my 2 granddaughters were up before 6:00am each morning sweating in their bed. A/C Unit was 16 years old & had been serviced multiple times. It never worked from the day we arrived. Robert Stovall

The house layout was excellent for our family, but the house needs upgrades in the furniture if it is a rental. When you pay nearly $3,000 for a rental one expects everything from the dishes and silverware to the bedspreads and furniture to be in much better shape and not so worn and dated. There were several maintenance issues that should be taken care of along with painting in many of the rooms.

Property managers responded efficiently to any needs or questions. Very comfortable home for family. Short walk to both pool and beach. Crab Trap restaurant across street was a great plus with play place on beach , good food and beautiful views.

It was very clean, a couple minutes walk away from the pool, and was very well set-up! Absolutely no complaints from this place, thank you!

The house was clean and well furnished. When we experienced issues/confusion, the management was very quick to respond and help us in whatever way possible. Everything worked like it should. Access to the pool was lovely for kids and adults alike. Overall a good stay.

We had a nice time, but the fireplace did not work and we couldn't get the furnace to work until I realized the gas was off. The last evening the microwave stopped working.

great home and great location! the gated neighborhood was a great place to escape the hustle of destin. neighborhood was great for walking and biking. pool was great and the beach a very short walk. the house was bright, clean, and roomy!

However, there the three seasons porch was less than desirable and could use some upkeep and basic maintenance. The screen to the door had a tear in it, the window sills were dirty and the cushions on the "outdoor" furniture need to be replaced. Because of the tear, we are fairly certain there were critters getting in because of what appeared to be mouse droppings near the far wall. Some of the furniture in the home is in need of some care or replacing (just showing some basic ware and tear). I would also add that in comparison to the pristine condition of the surrounding houses, the yellow bird could use some basic outdoor maintenance (power wash the outside, cut back a few shrubs, a little paint on the balcony rail etc.) and it will look much better from the outside. Overall we really enjoyed our time at the Yellow Bird and felt it suited our needs. Just wish we could have used the screened in porch more. I'd give it an overall 3.5 out of 5.
