The property was very much as described in listing. The location was perfect. The view was beautiful. The only complaint was the initial communication 36hrs prior to my trip I was concerned that the property manager did not reach out to me. However, once I reached out to them, the communication was clear and everything went as planned. If I were to come back to the area, I would stay here again. I admit it is a little dated on the interior, but it is clean, and there were plenty of towels, kitchen items, grill, etc, which makes your stay easier. It is an easy trip into the West entrance of Yellowstone, and the town of West Yellowstone has plenty of things to do as well.

Overall great place! Downside was extra high temps for the year which made it hot inside but fans in evenings kept it nice.

Place was clean and pictures online were accurate. The place feels a bit outdated though. We were lucky that the temperatures were on the cooler side, it would have been unpleasant sleeping without air conditioning and constant traffic outside the house. A previous guest mentioned animals in the wall running around in the basement and I thought that would have been taken care off by now, but that was not the case. Every morning between 6 and 7 animals were scratching along walls in the basement. So if you are planning to use the beds in the basement, get ready for some extra action. If you are only using the beds upstairs you are fine.
The condo is close to the Yellowstone entrance, restaurants and shopping is not far.

Nice and easy location. The mattresses are a bit to be desired, all of them sink down in the middle and hard to get rest. Paid the cleaning fee up front, but if you don’t take out the garbage, start the dishwasher and start a load of towels…you will be charged another cleaning fee.

The property was clean but outdated. We were shocked to see the multiple overloaded power strips by the fireplace. The feel of the property was not welcoming with no pictures on the walls and limited supplies. The parking, access to food / shopping and entrance to the west Yellowstone was also excellent.
Overall with the exceptions that were noted the property was not bad overall and would not hesitate staying there on your trip to Yellowstone.

Our family enjoyed staying here. It was a short drive to Yellowstone, shops, and we had a great view! We had all the amenities we needed!

This was a fantastic property for our family vacation. It was clean and cozy and surprisingly spacious for all 9 of us to move around. There were 6 adults and 3 kids (ages 2-7), 3 different families that stayed and everything was really comfortable. It was a great location, right off the main highway, within walking distance of the cute little town but with a wide open field across the street making it quiet with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The only reasons why I didn’t give 5 stars are: The downstairs “bedrooms” were really just two open rooms separated by a wall with no door, just an open doorway. To access the bathroom down stairs you had to walk through both rooms, and the laundry was in the farthest bedroom. It worked out for our family because my sister, BIL and her kids slept down there so they had a whole floor to themselves, but it isn’t ideal for all groups traveling together. The second reason was because for 9 people we had 10 bath towels in the entire place, so we had to constantly do laundry while we were there to have clean towels. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it was a little irksome that we were spending all day in the park and then having to come home to do laundry every other day. These were two minor issues, so neither one ruined our trip. We all agreed we would stay here again in a heartbeat!! I would HIGHLY recommend this location for any big family traveling to Yellowstone!

By pure chance, we chose this location which ended up right down the street from where we needed to be for the Vacation Races Yellowstone Half Marathon. Great kitchen, lots of room. Had an issue with clothes dryer, which property manager took care of right away. Thanks!

Nice unit located at Edge of town, just blocks from Yellowstone Entrance. Unit was clean and was stocked with most essentials. There was an issue with the dryer, but the owner was prompt with supplying extra towels at 10 pm and then fixed dryer the following morning.
Would stay here again.

We loved the location and views from the deck! This was a great option for me and my husband and our in laws, there was plenty of space. It was also one of the cleanest places I have stayed in. We would have preferred more amenities, there was no soap in either bathroom and no shower gel (only shampoo/conditioner) in the downstairs bathroom. We bought our own soap the first day. The smoke detector upstairs was also missing.

The condo was as pictured. Nice and roomy. Plenty of fans available for each of the bedrooms. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped.

Poor response from property manager
We reported that a sprinkler head was broken and there was observed rodent activity. The property manager replied: “I will let the associate know about the sprinkler head I will have to try and find someone that would know about setting some kind of a trap. As we don’t have any kind of pest control in town.” When I let them know a few days later that there were actually two broken sprinkler heads going off like geysers at 4am every morning, we got the reply of “ I have a message into the association that handles all the outside of the units. Unfortunately where we live doesn’t give us easy access to thinks a city does. We have to find someone that can get to us ASAP which is usually someone that is anywhere from 90-150 miles away.” While I appreciate the rural aspect, I thought they might want to send someone over to turn off the sprinkler system to conserve water.
That was the only communication we received. It was very transactional and we saw no action taken during our week-long stay. I guess we should be glad to be an outdoorsy family with children who named the rodent and didn’t refuse to sleep downstairs.

Trapper Townhouse #2
Would definitely stay there again (just two adults this visit in mid-July, so gobs of room). Property is a bit older but well-maintained, and located diagonally opposite end of town from YNP entrance -- thus relatively quiet and peaceful, yet easy drive and could even walk to 'town' if wanted a bit of exercise. Has all the needed amenities, except AC -- but evenings cooled down such that opening all windows provided good air flow/exchange (basement always cool). Having a washer & drier was great. Watch that first step down to the basement level, especially if barefooted, as the small board holding the carpet in place can be a bit of a painful surprise. Very good communication with managers.

This townhome is in a great location, was tidy, and well stocked with necessities. Very easy access to town, the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, Yellowstone National Park.

Perfect place to explore Yellowstone
Our group ranged in age from under 2 to 70 so staying/camping in Yellowstone was not in the cards. No problem as this place was minutes from the west entrance so our crew was able to get in quick and early without the crowds!
Ample sleeping space, good room to eat and play as well. The tv and streaming was a nice break after days exploring Yellowstone.
Fantastic communication with the manager as well! No complaints!

Great place to explore Yellowstone
Property was as advertised, except the washer did not work. The owner was responsive, but it was not possible to have it fixed while we were there. I used a laundromat which defeats one of the purposes of VRBO. I don' t know how the owner did not realize the washer was not working before we got there.

Not what we expected
We were there for four nights. We never had internet access. If you don’t have data this is more than annoying. The TV’s in most of the bedrooms were smart TV’s so without internet they were useless. We sent text and left messages asking about when we would have internet and we were told that’s the “price of living in a beautiful remote area”. Not sure how the stores and restaurants in town all had internet in West Yellowstone during this same period. We thought this was a 4 bedroom condo but came to find out that 2 beds in the basement had just has a divider between the two beds with a walkway from the room with the queen bed to the room with the double bed to the bathroom . The condo was dated but it was clean. This would not be our choice for a VRBO rental if we were to stay in this area again.

Wonderful Yellowstone Rental
This townhouse is perfect for families visiting Yellowstone. Located on the edge of town but stores & restaurants easily accessible. Only minor drawbacks were no a/c (plenty of fans but not what we were used to) and no bathroom on main floor. TV's in every room but didn't need them with the spectacular sunset view right out the front door each night! Hope to return again in a few years!!

Good house and location for family trip to Yellowstone
This house was great for our family of 4 (two adults, two teenagers), short drive to West entrance Yellowstone, walking distance to restaurants, saw amazing sunset from the small patio outside the house.

Great place to stay, close to west entrance
Had a great time. Communication was detailed and prompt. Wasn’t there much since it was so close to the entrance and to downtown west Yellowstone. A bit of an older place (not fancy) but everything you need & in decent shape including beds to be comfortable. Enough space for family with teens to get away from each other after a long day in the park-Lol! Also wifi worked great so they were happy! Had several fans which helped a lot with the hot weather we had. Plenty of towels/toiletries/etc.
Nice table & chairs outside to watch the Beautiful sunsets nightly. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

While slightly dated, it was a great condo. Super cozy. Bedrooms in upstairs and downstairs felt like private suites. Highly recommend this. Walking distance to downtown and great view.

Great Vacation in Yellowstone
Very spacious home and bathroom/kitchen were well equipped. Beautiful view of the mountains. Only complaint was that it’s a smoke free listing, but the main floor (kitchen/ living room) smelled of cigarette smoke.

Great stay close to Yellowstone
Really close to park entrance and less than 10 minute walk to West Yellowstone town. House has everything you need from kitchen gear to washer/dryer. Michele was really helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our stay!

Average condo
What I now realize is that West Yellowstone does not have many condo lodging options. The condo was a bit dated, but seemed clean enough. I expected some paper towels or napkins, but did not find any; we had to drive to a grocery store late at night after checking in. We did have to wash a load of towels/washcloths; I did find detergent. I would suggest having an inside mat at the door, as it was too easy to track mud (from hiking) in as you step inside. I would also suggest cleaning the carpet, or replacing it with LVP as it has many dirty spots on it. Last suggestion...replace the sink sponges after each guests. On a high note...the beds were all very comfortable!

Spotless!
The townhome was absolutely spotless. The kitchen was well-equipped. Description and pictures were exact. We enjoyed the town of West Yellowstone - safe for a good morning run and everyone in the stores were delightful to talk with as well as very helpful.

House was very clean and comfortable and just perfect for the 2 of us. Location would be hard to beat. Only a little over a mile from the west entrance to Yellowstone and close to all the restaurants in West Yellowstone. Although the location is close to a main highway road noise was never a problem.

Convenient getaway location to West Yellowstone and Park
The property was as advertised, all the basics provided. The kitchen sat 6 at a high top table overlooking the small living area. As noted in the other reviews there are no end tables or coffee tables in the living room. The kitchen has been updated and had all the necessary appliances and kitchenware. The upper bedrooms were nice and with views of mountains and Hwy 20. The lower or basement bedrooms were very dark and did not have any nightstands or lamps. When going to bed one had to turn off the overhead bedroom lights. The bathroom could use a nightlight however we would turn on shower light with door closed so middle of night trips to the loo weren't as difficult to navigate. The beds were comfortable but accidentally knocked off one the bed risers and needed an adult male to lift and righten. The stairs are steep coming up from basement. These bedrooms are probably best for kids and able bodied adults. We used the bbq outside one night and everything worked well. Small outdoor patio with 4 chairs. Because of the fires burning in Oregon and Washington the views were smoky and hazy but I could imagine if not for that you would have nice views. Overall a good place to stay for for the value.

The perks...
It's proximity to the west entrance of Yellowstone, and the fact that it wasn't in the busy part of town. The large grassy area west of it was a great place for star gazing. Nice view of the mountains. There were two fans and a portable AC unit on site, but only fans were needed, and with them on, it drowned out the road noise.
The cons...
Not anything significant, but... There wasn't a can opener, we borrowed from the next door neighbor. Otherwise the kitchen was adequately stocked. Also, it appears one of the Direct TV remotes wasn't functioning, could be just batteries, but there were two remotes present, one for the upstairs bedroom, and one for the livingroom. We just carried the working one to where we needed it. Finally. There are no tables whatsoever in the livingroom, so no place to rest a drink.

The downstairs bedrooms are connected by an open doorway.
There is visual privacy regarding the placement of the beds, but no total privacy, if that's important to you. One must go through the interior of these bedrooms to access the downstairs bathroom. The interior bedroom has no window and contains the laundry facility.
Check in is no frills, and the host communicated with us only in response, not proactively, and with minimal words. In fact, during our stay, we had zero contact with them.
Check out is 10am sharp. No late check out is allowed due to their cleaning schedule.
All in all. We'd stay there again. Overall it was a very pleasant place to stay.

Everything was great with the exception of a minor mixup with entry code to the rental. It was quickly resolved with a phone call to owner. Place was roomy with a homey feel. Would stay again!
