We love this home on the bay and across the street from the beach! The kids enjoy crabbing right from the deck and the house has crabbing traps and a canoe for the guests use. We have been here many times and after this trip the entire family agreed this is our favorite VRBO rental!

My sister and I were surprising our parents with a trip to the beach and this was the perfect place for us. We took family pictures on the pier, got sunburned on the beach, went fishing and enjoyed the day.
I didn’t see a fire pit but with the weekend being so humid and mosquito-y we didn’t spend too much time outside except the last night when we went fishing. If we ever went back to the gulf this is where we would stay.

Absolutely stunning! We all, hands down, agreed it was one of the best last minute planned getaways ever. The house is cozy, welcoming and very comfortable. If you are looking for technology, this is not it. The wifi was very good but the tv is basic - no streaming in the family area. There is a FireStick upstairs but who cares. The view, the water and the highlight in our opinion was the double decks. We literally lived on the decks. The sunrise and set are amazing. Two never came down. I fished (last minute decision) and caught stingrays, crabs, catfish and crocker. Extremely relaxing. The owners are so sweet! The previous reviews are spot on so I will not repeat - we needed nothing except food. Can't wait to come back.

This is the only place I will ever stay at Surfside. I love the owners and the place is perfect. Every time we stay here we build new outstanding memories!!! The owners are so awesome, especially if you need help or have questions. Their goal is to always make sure you have fun!!! The house is always spotless when we get there and we leave nothing but our footprints. I can’t wait for next time

We enjoyed our stay. Overall, we are very happy with the property, amenities, and the stay we were offered. Some of the deck railing was missing which left holes large enough for my toddler to potentially fit through. We didn’t let her get close enough to the edge anyway, but if she had, it could have potentially be dangerous. Inside could have been cleaner upon arrival, but it was fine. There were some ants inside. We really did enjoy our stay though! And we loved the space we had for the amount of people we brought.

We highly recommend this home! It was beautiful staying right on the bay and out of the hustle and bustle of the city! We enjoyed the dock and sitting on the upper patio watching the sunsets! Our grandkids loved riding their scooters on the patio and it was great being so close to the beach! Most days the beach was pretty empty so we felt like we had it all to ourselves! We would love to stay again!

Wonderful weekend getaway with family- kids age 2 to 86! Great bay home with a wonderful view of the bay and sunset providing great bird watching. Beach just a short walk away. We had a great time and hope to return.

We enjoyed our time here. It was tranquil and full of nature. We spent lots of time on the main deck watching the birds and fish. We liked being so close to the beach and had a fun day trip to Galveston. We cooked at the house and enjoyed down time with family. My brother-in-law caught several fish off the pier and a crab that scurried off the pier into the water quickly.

We stayed here as a family, liked it so much we reserved for a friends weekend. Friends had a great time fishing and enjoying the relaxing weekend. We plan to rent again.

We enjoyed our time here. We were sent information on how gain access to the home well in advance of our arrival. The home was spacious and clean; no bugs. Lots of appliances in the kitchen such as the crockpot, air fryer/toaster oven and electric griddle allowed for lots of meals at home. Fresh drinking water was provided. The dock out back was fun to try fishing, though we didn't catch anything. The fire pit was nice to sit at in the evenings; firewood was provided. Took just a few minutes walking to get to the beach. Our view of the bay was beautiful. A cold front blew in the day before we left bringing heavy winds and rain from the west; the double doors that opened up to the back deck held up and kept the rain out and the floors dry. When we were stuck inside due to the weather, there were plenty of cable TV stations to choose from.

Several of us came together for a wedding in the area. This included 7 adults and 3-5 children at times 8 yrs old and under. Although the living area isn't huge, we never felt cramped or lacking space. The bedrooms were decent size and comfortable. Plenty of linens for everyone. We really enjoyed relaxing on the large deck over looking the sound. There is also very easy beach access that is no more than a five minute walk. Only things I would improve on is a few loose banisters on the deck made us a little leary with the children playing. Also the keyless entry was very finicky and gave us some trouble getting in a few times. Lastly, there was an odd odor when we first entered. It becomes unnoticeable after a little while but is kind of unpleasant at first. I will say be sure to bring ice because there are no ice cube trays or an ice making refrigerator. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Very clean and not a single bug indoors, in response to a recent review. The beds were comfortable and the house has everything you may need. Very fast internet and DISH network. My husband and son caught several redfish from their kayaks. We plan to return.

House was as described and had all the amenities. I really only had one complaint and that is the fact that there were roaches in the house. I paid over a thousand dollars for 4 days and had to deal with roaches. Over all house was great but needs to be exterminated. Would have given them 5 stars if not for the roaches.

Our family of five had a great time at the property. Plenty of opportunities to fish and crab from the dock. Friendly patrons use the ramp next door for kayaking. The beach is a short walk away. The host was communicative and helpful.
There is plenty of space and good amenities. Like many rental properties, a few things could use updating. But overall, 5/5 experience, would stay again.

Everything was as advertised! Check in/out was clear and easy. House was clean and furnished with everything we needed and in a great location right on the bay and just a short drive/walk to the beach. We will 100% use this property again if we go back to surfside!

The Rental property was as described Perfectly and Stocked with all the Essentials. The Sun rise and beach views with a cup of coffee were amazing. The afternoon Sunsets on the dock fishing are Exceptional. Julie was Very Pleasant and Accommodating. Wish the Fishing and Weather had been better, but overall Our Stay was more than we could have Expected and Relaxing. We would highly recommend this rental property for anyone wanting a complete package deal…..

The house was very clean and well stocked . The views her breathtaking , we loved the private fishing pier and caught lots of fish . Walking distance to the public beach area . However the mosquitoes are no joke . Overall it was a great get away and will definitely be back with a longer stay for sure . Thank you

House was great and host sent lots of communication about property and instructions on accessing property. Free beach accessing a short walk away, or you can drive your car out onto beach. Mosquitoes were horrible, swarmed you if you went outside, so be sure to bring bug spray!

Overall, we all had a fantastic time at this property. The beach house has decorated beautifully and very clean! The three bedrooms were great, but the 4 small beds in the bunk room were a tad short for our six ft plus young guys lol. We had also counted on the sofa bed in the pics online, but that was changed to a curved sectional. We did use the extra mattress and made it all work! There were a total of 3 toilets, 2 baths with tub/showers, and an outdoor "shower/pipe" with hot and cold water that was great! House was supplied well with everyday items, and we loved the big kitchen table. Views from the bay deck were very pretty and relaxing, with 6 large plastic chairs and more for lower area. The deck rails need some repair, however, and the lights on the pier wouldn't come on. There was a canoe, but the storage area was too cluttered to easily get to it. Getting to the beach was a very short drive with easy access. Beach was very clean and pretty, and not crowded at all during the week. We would rate the beach property and beach both 5 stars overall!! Thank you for sharing it with us! 🙂

This property is great for family to go to the beach and to crab and fish. It is right on the marsh side with a deck so you can catch crab and fish sometimes. The fish were not biting this time but we did catch two dozen crabs each night in regular hoop nets.
The house has everything you need in the kitchen. The bathrooms are nice and the bedrooms are very large. Downstairs under the house is all cement and is a great place to sit to feel the breeze and to play any kind of games you would want with the children out of the sun. Garage area has anything you need to use for barbecuing and going to the beach. We did find the white binder in the living room. Make sure you read that and you can go get all the drinking water you need. Also it has all of the food establishments listed. There is no large grocery store near the property so you may want to stop in Freeport and get your things.
My family has stayed here before and noticed a few things that were needing of attention. The owners fixed everything that needed attention and we will be staying again.

Nice comfortable home. Plenty of room for all of our family & friends. House is stocked with everything you .could possibly need. Nice after a day at the beach or fishing to sit on the balcony and watch the most beautiful sunsets. Definitely going to try and plan a return.

Family gathering
This is a very nice place. The crab fishing on the peer was exciting for all ages, short drive to the public beach which was absolutely beautiful. We had 9 adults and 4 children. We brought a full size blow up bed. Plenty of supplies in every room in the house wifi great. Decor was absolutely gorgeous.

We had a great experience! The location was perfect for easy access to the beach. We loved having our own dock out to the bay and enjoyed the views from the house. The house had everything we needed and was a great fit for our extended family. Very comfortable!

Breathtaking BayStar
We enjoyed everything about our trip. The views were breathtaking and the house was beautiful! Plenty of parking and loads of space in the house. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Comfortable beds and clean linens. The house was very clean and organized. The pier was wonderful and we actually caught a bunch of fish. The beach is literally within walking distance. We unfortunately didn't have much sunny weather but it was a great opportunity to spend time together indoors. The kids loved the games in the living room. Everything was just perfect and we will definitely be back.

Thanksgiving get together
My husband and I, two of our children and thier spouses and 2 of our grandchildren stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend. The weather wasn't great, but the family time was excellent! The kitchen easily accomodated our turkey dinner and we all enjoyed sitting around the table playing dominoes in the evening. Everything was great and the location is beautiful.
