La famosa 5th Avenue è a 15 minuti a piedi dai migliori negozi e ristoranti della Riviera Maya. Ora oltre 1.000 ristoranti! Se non vuoi camminare, i taxi passano ogni minuto o due all'ingresso della nostra strada. Abbiamo spazio per diverse auto nel vialetto privato. La casa si trova alla fine di un tranquillo cul-de-sac nella gated community di Playacar, a solo un isolato dal campo da golf Playacar. L'ingresso alla comunità è sorvegliato e la sicurezza pattuglia le strade 24 ore al giorno.
La spiaggia vicino alla casa è incastonata tra case da molti milioni di dollari ed è un ottimo posto per i bambini che giocano sulla sabbia o, se sei come me, un ottimo posto per lanciare il tuo aquilone per il kiteboard. La grande sala da pranzo può ospitare fino a 10 persone insieme alla cucina completamente attrezzata. La cucina è stata recentemente rinnovata con ripiani in granito e nuovi elettrodomestici. Abbiamo TV satellitare e WIFI gratuito in casa se è necessario rimanere in contatto.
Una nuovissima piscina a sfioro con cascata, oltre a tutti i nuovi cortili del cortile e l'area palapa appena completati. Anche solare termico. Inoltre abbiamo una grande piscina comunitaria se vuoi fare giri e un campo da tennis dalla porta sul retro condivisa da solo 3 strade.

We had a group of 13 (ages 3 to 70) between 5 different family units staying here for a birthday celebration/family reunion. There was space for everyone, and each couple/single person to have their own room and bathroom. The A/C in the bedrooms was fantastic.
The house is on a gated street within a gated community - it’s very safe in the middle of PDC. The walk to the beach only takes a minute, and the beach itself is almost private bc you basically need to be staying in Playacar to access it. We virtually had the beach to ourselves all 10 days. The house pool is also perfect for hanging out - the kids preferred it to the big community pool which is a 2 minute walk.
The kids LOVED staying in the pool house (which was very secure - we had been worried about strangers being able to get into the house, but in addition to the house being in a strictly guarded community on a gated street, you need a code to get into the pool house itself). It’s only a few steps from the main house.
Communication with the host and the local managers was so easy. I had 3 people I could contact at any point, and they all answered immediately. Alma is an absolute gem - she is a fantastic cook, will have the house completely clean each day even with 6 kids running around, and will answer all your questions about the house and community.
We had a fantastic time at this house, and we are thinking about making this our new yearly family reunion spot.

The property was clean and well kept. It’s a vigorous walk into town for some older folks but doable. The air conditioning in each bedroom was a god send. Very much a family type atmosphere. Alma was great to work with, we loved having her there. We will be back.

As much as we want to give a higher rating- the best we can offer is 3.5/5.
Our friend group visits Riviera Maya each year and this is about our tenth year renting VRBO’s. Overall, this is not one we would return to or recommend. There are others we liked a lot better.
The positives:
The house is nicely furnished and the pool is beautiful.
There are beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels available.
The caretakers were here almost daily, were very polite, and did a nice job.
The neutrals:
The communication was all through what’s app and google translation
This house has many levels and not for anyone with ambulatory concerns. Including the trail to the beach. It’s a bit farther than a short walk and is not flat terrain, although, there are other paths you can take to get to the beach.
There are a lot of keys and different codes for doors/gates.
The outside pool seating area is quite small for the size of the house, although there are lots of separate places to gather.
The negatives:
The lock on a side door near the kitchen was difficult to close and lock.
2 of the bedroom en-suite toilets did not flush and were not usable.
There wasn’t hot water for showers, except one. The dishwasher and oven were not functioning during our stay.
If any food was not sealed in its original packaging, it attracted numerous large ants and one morning we woke to a couple of dead roaches on the kitchen floor.
The bathrooms had minimal number of towels and they were very thin/worn.

Location was awesome for both the beach and downtown, found the information booklet provided, which is in both English and Spanish was an awesome resource. Any issues we did have were dealt with very quickly. Alma our maid was very amazing and thorough and easy to work with. Any questions we had were promptly answered by the owner. Our family of thirteen had an awesome family vacation at this residence and we would highly recommend this property.

We were 6 adults that stayed in this lovely home for two weeks. The area is beautiful, so well kept. Alma was fabulous, doing all she could to make our time there relaxing and pleasurable, happy and willing to help however she could.
The kitchen was well stocked, pots were wonderful to cook with, we found mostly all we needed, only thing I can think of would be to replace the rubber spatula and salad spinner. House was kept very clean, pool cleaned consistently. Great lawn chairs to take to beach, and owner sent in beach umbrella when we asked if one there.
The transport service JF Tours that Owner recommends was great, we used them for all out transfers, and their response time was quick and efficient.
Furniture good, beds comfy, we weren’t lacking anything.
My thanks to the owner Gordon, who is very caring and responsive, was a good vacation.

Villa Ensueno was a wonderful getaway for a girls trip celebrating 40 years of friendship! Gordon and his on site team were spectacular, responsive and very accommodating! Alma is a dream and extremely hard working along with the pool crew! The home is safe , private and a few minutes to the warm clear beach we visited daily including 3 hours before our return flights!! Highly recommend Romeo’s Italian and Ilios Greek Live Show! Tulum and the Mayan Ruins a must using Gordon’s recommended transport company the day was easy breezy! Our only comment was we didn’t feel it would have worked for 6 adults 55+ who prefer private bedrooms & bathrooms. As it turns out we had 4 and it was perfect! Especially enjoyed the plunge pool at the end of the day to refresh & recharge ! Thank you to Gordon, Elena, Alma and the JF Rivera Tour team for making us feel So welcome !! We highly recommend this rental!!!

What a lovely, amazing, magical place Gordon and his family have made here. Plenty of room for many extended family and friends, daily housekeeping services provided by Alma, prompt and courteous communication from both the owner and the on site property manager. It’s close to two different shopping/dining areas, a very short walk to a beautiful, pristine beach, and an easy taxi ride away from so many wonders Mexico offers. We made memories for a lifetime and checked many items off our bucket list (manatees! Snorkeling with sea turtles! Jumping in cenotes! Xavage adventure park! Standing at the base of one of the 7 wonders of the world (Chichen Itza)!). And even with all that, staying at home and enjoying the plunge pool for hours on end was probably one of my kids’ favorite things of the whole trip. Would definitely recommend to others and it will definitely be on our list should we ever return to Playacar. Thank you!

Could not have been happier with the accommodations and the help rendered by the amazing housekeeper Alma. Everyone we interacted with was super responsive and top notch in every way including the property owner. The home is very close to the beach in a secluded cul-de-sac where it is in complete harmony with the manicured jungle around it. The small pool connected to the house was also really fun, we actually never ventured to the larger community pool because we like the one at the house so well. My only complaint is that there was some problem with the address where we had a hard time finding it and also our ride back to the airport. Other than that this was a 10/10 experience

It was a fabulous home for multi-gerational gathering. We were a group of 6, but there was plenty of space for additional guests if needed. The host was in communication both before and after we arrived. Any questions or issues were handled immediately. A lovely woman named Alma came every day to take care of house and us. Pool man was there every day and was very pleasant also. The house had a number of updates, but also maintained much of the original Mexican charm. The community of Playacar is great , and very secure. We ranged in age from 3 to 76 and everyone loved it! Highly recommend this listing.

Wonderful location and great spaces for everyone. We were a family of 11 and there was plenty of room! The kids loved the plunge pool. There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrella for the short block and a half walk to the beach. Alma came every day to clean and she was wonderful!! Walking to town was easy and safe. Easy communication with owners and management too. Have wonderful memories to take back!

From pre booking to returning home the property manager was very responsive and helpful. Everything about the process and the trip went better than expected. Gordon surrounds himself with the best of the best…transportation service, cleaning crew, host, cook. The house was just as listed. Very comfortable and clean. We used the pool everyday after returning from our adventures. Although the beach is within walking distance, we were so busy that we did not spend much time there. Fifth avenue is a little longer walk but doable. The party aspect of fifth avenue is not our thing but we did find several great restaurants that we enjoyed. Just look for a place where the Mexican locals are eating and you are sure to find a great meal! It was so enjoyable to spend time with local people and getting to know them and their culture. We had Maria cook several meals for us, alma came every day for several hours to clean, pool guy cleaned pool daily, and Elena (local host) was very helpful in setting up fishing and other activities for us. The icing on the cake was Fernando who provides transportation. We hired him to take us to Tulum, akumal, cenotes, snorkeling, and ruins. He was so much better than just taking a taxi or packaged tour group. He is kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We left with so many happy memories of this place and these people. This trip was a splurge for us and we are so glad we splurged. Hope to splurge again someday and return to the same location!

Plenty of room for a group of 9, mostly adults. Very secured area and all amenities that we needed.
Beach is a little bit further than a few steps, something to consider for those that have difficulty with walking but still not too far. The home is very spacious and close to the famed 5th Avenue.

Beautiful Property
We loved that the manager allowed our family from both houses to gather for breakfast and dinner (we had 19 in our family and were in two houses close together). We loved the pool. We loved the beach chairs and umbrellas available for our stay. A very nice property.

The house is very equipped. The owner and the manager Elena are super nice and helpful. The area where the house is located is very safe and you can find restaurants, Starbucks, stores, and more.

A Month Spent in Villa Ensueno
We had a great month in Playacar. Our group was made up of 3 people who stayed for the month of March. We had friends and family join us at different times through out our stay. At one point there were 11 of people for about a week. The property is well located and it is a short walk to the main road to either walk to downtown (about 15 minutes) or get a taxi or the beach (about 3 minutes). Playacar is very safe. The "neighborhood" is a culdesac and has a security guard at the entrance. There are no restaurants close by, but many within 15 minutes walking or 5 minutes by taxi. The taxis charge 150 pesos or about 7 dollars for a ride to any street that goes to 5th Avenue. The owner is Gordon and he is an excellent communicator, very accessible and if he can't answer a call or text right away he gets back within a few minutes. We loved the pool and the back patio area. The beach area is nice, but very small. The hurricane last fall did quite a bit of damage. However, there are plenty of beaches in close proximity. We plan to try a month in different places but if we were to return to Playa Del Carmen we would stay again.

Great beach vacation home for large groups
This house was great for our large group with ages ranging from 1 to 65. The beach was only a short walk down the backyard path - the kids were in heaven playing in the sand and mild, shallow waters! The pool out back was larger than I expected and both the kids and grownups loved it for afternoon and evening swims. Great kitchen and dining room. Though I think our favorite part of the trip was Magda! She cooked us a delicious breakfast/lunch ready for when we returned hungry from a morning at the beach! She even helped us find a doctor to bring a sick baby to during our stay!
The walk into town was a little long for the little kids, but it was only a short drive from the house.
The only downside was the air conditioning wasn’t working in the top bedroom with two twin beds, so my two kids ended up sleeping in the room with us.

Familia Cortes
We loved loved loved this house. It’s big and every room has its own bathroom which is really nice when you have a lot of people tryin to get ready at the same time. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals and lots of dishes. The outdoor sitting area is awesome, makes you feel like you are sitting in the middle of a jungle and we saw lots of wild life in the property.
The beach is nice and they provide chairs and towels for you.
The house is in a gated community which was important to us for safety. We never felt unsafe walking in the neighborhood.
Overall we had a great experience and would definitely rent this property again.

What a gem!
What a gem! This property is nestled in a beautiful, safe and intimate community. It is incredibly accommodating with all its bedrooms, en suite bathrooms, expansive kitchen and dining room. We especially enjoyed the indoor/outdoor experience that the bi-fold glass doors provided with access to the property's private pool. There are many additional ammenities including a community pool, tennis courts, quick beach access and wonderful customer service. Every time we reached out with a question or request, we were greeted with immediate and responsive service. I can't speak higher about our experience at this property. I just want to go back!!

In a jungle setting but close to the beach.
We had a lovely birthday celebration with our 4 children, their partners and our young grandchildren at Villa Ensueno. Though various days took various people in our party to cenotes to snorkel, golf courses to play bad golf, 5th Avenida to eat tacos and buy souvenirs, the nearby Aviario to paint parrots, and Tulum to walk the ruins, the nearby beach was spectacular, the tennis court was close by, and the community pool was used extensively by the kids. But the villa's own infinity pool was also a welcome oasis after a hot day away. And we hired Tona, a highly-recommended Playa del Carmen chef to create a birthday fiesta meal that we will long remember. A beautiful Mexican getaway in a lovely house.

Great times in Playa Del Carmen
We rented this property based on 10-12 people coming with us for my sisters 40th birthday. We had 4 total actually show up! So we felt like billionaires staying in this home. Vivianna and her crew at Playa Rentals made check in simple and even had chicken fajitas ready for us when we arrived. We will definitely be coming back, grocery stores are close, close taxi to town (100ish peso) very safe area and we could not have been happier, unless we had more time. Rent this house and you will be satisfied.

Some Issues
We were very excited to stay at Villa Ensueno particularly in light of the many 5 star reviews. The location is very nice and most of the bedrooms are good. We, however, ran into several serious problems.
The pool area was shocking people who walked by it if they were barefoot. We were afraid to use the pool and notified the management immediately. They took 4 days to finally figure out what was wrong, so we didn't get to use the pool for half the trip for fear of electrocution.
The A/C unit in the highest "bedroom" was pouring out water and soaking towels which were near electrical appliances and wiring. It took 3 days to get that fixed.
Despite mentioning that the dishwasher had residual food inside and wasn't cleaning well, and the clothes washer sounded like it was going to break through a wall on spin cycle, neither were fixed the entirety of our stay.
These are all things that could be easily fixed but were not and affected our stay. May your experience be better.

Great Family Celebration!
Eight, 3 generations of women, rented Ensuado for a 6 day 5 night stay, it was to celebrate the life of our Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, Dude. In the beginning some were weary of a group of women alone; however, that was quickly replaced wth how secure Playcar was! There was a police person on either a motorbike, ATV, or car, on constant visual to our street. We never felt unsafe!
Even though it says 6 bedrooms, I would say 4 ensuite, with 1 pool house and 1 attic bedroom. The pool house bath is up a very narrow flight of stairs and unairconditioned, the attic does not have a bathroom. If you have children, they will probably love these rooms, but for a group of women those two didn’t work for us. We were very comfy in the remaining 4 ensuite.
The beach is a short walk from the house, there are two walks!!, be sure you use the private, it is much shorter. (A map of the 2 paths location would be nice). We would do a couple of hours at the beach, make lunch, then spend the rest of the afternoon at either our lovely pool, or the very clean, very close, community pool.
Town was an easy cab ride away, they can be caught at the end of the street for a very cheap price.
Any issues we had were quickly dealt with by the owner himself! He was only a call away and helped us with arranging transportation and in-house cooked meals.
It takes a day or two to get your bearings, but then, you do not want to leave! We all had a lovely time!

Beautiful property, close to everything.
We did have trouble with the cabs from the airport. Both coming and going. Do not use Supershuttle.
We traveled to Tulum, Xel Ha, and Cozumel, the playa del carmen cab company were great. They also helped with our store runs.

As a frequent traveler, I can say I have high expectation, and this home for sure meet all my expectations, needs, and commendations. I highly recommend this home and hope to stay here again in the future. Thank you Mr. Goss and staff for everything.

Fabulous home for our family wedding!
Our family was in Playa Del Carmen for a beach wedding. We chose to stay at Villa Ensueno - with its 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms - because it would accommodate most of our immediate family, and we were not disappointed! The home is huge, with plenty of space for everyone to relax. It has a huge kitchen, and dining room - we seated 14 at the table. The bedrooms are spacious, and each is individually air-conditioned. Of course, our favorite spot was outside around the pool, which we used day and night! Also, plenty of space outside near the 'casita' for eating and gathering. We enjoyed watching all the critters scooting around the back yard, plus the many birds which serenaded us.
The local staff were very responsive, and we took full advantage of enjoying two full Mexican breakfasts which were prepared for us. We also appreciated the daily pool cleaning and maintenance!
Access to the beach was easy, the surf was friendly and the water was just right!
Special thanks to Gordon, our host, as he always responded quickly to our questions and emails, and he provided invaluable information about the home and the region.
We left with many wonderful memories, and with plans to return at the earliest opportunity!

Great house for big group.
Spent 5 nights in late February 2018. There were 9 adults in our 50s and 60s. We went to the beach, played tennis and cooked in a couple of nights. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans and a spice cabinet. Plenty of beach chairs. Easy enough walk to 5th Ave. We did not rent a car. Cancun Cab as recommended by Gordon was a great option. $130 round trip from the airport for all nine of us. Breakfasts prepared by the cooks were good. Liked the one with tortillas and black beans better than the breakfast nachos. All in all, great vacation.

Fourteen family members had the time of their lives!
Our family of 14 spent 7 blissful days at this lovely home. Our purpose was to celebrate “Poppy’s “ 70th birthday. Between the pool, the very close, beautiful & amazing beach & the large comfortable house; we were busy relaxing & having great fun. The house had comfortable bedrooms with private bathrooms. We actually celebrated 3 family members birthdays at the large dining room table. We had delicious breakfasts cooked right in the house’s large kitchen & paid for a few delicious dinners as well.
We often walked to town and part of our crew went to tourist & cultural attractions. Those of us with little children happily stayed back at the house, enjoying the pool & beach. Gordon was very flexible & 100% accommodating & very gracious. The management group was also very helpful & accommodating.

Exceptional home!!
We had a wonderful time here at Villa Ensueno in Playa del Carmen. The house is fully equipped with every need you can think of. Kitchen is fully operational, we made breakfast daily and had no problems. Each room has it's own shower/rr always a plus for larger families! Garden area transports you to a rainforest and the patio furniture is great for morning coffee/ bf. Beach is about a blocks distance through the backyard access gate and the beach is absolutely amazing! My husband, 3 dtrs, 2 brothers his dad and wife as well as myself had a wonderful, peaceful week vacation!! Thanks Mr. Gordon and Viviana for your help and tips to make our trip exceptional!!

Great size for larger families! Everything you may need will probably be found in this home! Beach trail right off the back yard about a block or so down the most beautiful beach in sight!

My husband and I had a fantastic week in Playa! This house is perfect! Just a few minute walk to the beach and town, makes it the perfect location! The owners gave great recommendations on places to eat and sites to see! We will definitely be back!

Mexico beach vacation
Would definitely recommend Villa Ensueno in Playa if you have a larger group looking for a private home. The beach is great and a few min walk. House is huge with each room having a bathroom which was great for our family. Local staff was very good.

Had a great week with our family in Playa. Our first time in the Playacar neighborhood. Was good to see the tight security coming into the neighborhood and the guys on motorbikes patrolling. Made our first time Mexico travelers more relaxed. House is close to town and is a quiet part of the beach. Well equipped and will definitely go back

Great Vacation
We spent a week at Villa Ensueno this summer. Is a great location, beach is beautiful by the house and spent most nights in town. Bring pesos, locals like to rip you off on the exchange for USD. Lots of room in the house and hope to go back. Gordon the owner was great to deal with.
