The neighborhood is wonderful as the cabins are not right on top of one another (at least for our cabin), when on our back porch, it felt entirely secluded. The upstairs master could definitely use a new mattress. My husband and I prefer a firm one, but this was like laying on a brick. I’ve never been so happy to get home to my own bed! I know it’s a rental, but things like mattresses are important and shouldn’t be cheaped out on!!!! We rented this particular cabin bc of the theater room given that we would be there sat and Sunday and our guys enjoy football. Well, imagine our surprise when we found a room full of detailed DON’Ts plastered on the wall regarding the theater system and a system that didn’t work aside from an antiquated DVD player. The rules prohibited us from troubleshooting. The instructions sent by rental company indicated that it would work with cable tv. That was untrue. They did send a maintenance person out to bring us an adapter so that we could use our own Amazon firestick with the system. That was super helpful, but what if we hadn’t brought that with us? We would have booked a cabin that we would not have been able to use the key feature of. The theater systems truly need updating if that is going to be the focal point of your advertisement for a particular cabin!!! These are so antiquated. Or at the very least put a smart dvd player in or something so that people can log into their own streaming services. No one totes around DVDs in 2023 LOL. That’s a sad bit of effort on the owners part. Like I said, we loved loved loved the cabin! We would book it again. But there are a few things that should be addressed to achieve a better guest experience!

Hot tub was fantastic, loved the theater room (we brought a laptop). Love that each bedroom has its own bathroom. Plenty of towels and toilet paper for our stay even though we had extra just in case. Kitchen well-stocked with appliances/pots and pans. It didn't have any spices, etc. like some places have, but in this COVID world maybe less cabins are keeping them around. Liked the location of the cabin - pretty easy drive compared to some we've done and it was nice being on the east side of Gatlinburg near a grocery and restaurants. You wouldn't need to go in to town and traffic if you don't want to. House was clean and ready for us. Enjoyed the pool table and fireplace. Coffee maker in kitchen had some issues with the carafe (seems broken) but still worked. We only had one car, but there is room for several if you had multiple families staying. Great communication with the home office - they checked in on us and good communication prior to check-in too.Would definitely recommend!!

It was better then we'd expected! We had an issue with a TV in the master bedroom and within 20 minutes we had a new tv set up. Very easy check in, everyone was very polite and it was easy to find. We were lucky to have experienced watching a mama bear and her two cubs walk by while we were enjoying the deck out back. We'll definitely reserve another stay!!!!!!!

Property was great cabin was beautiful the road to get to it was nicely paved and not a extreme drive up a mountain..... The only the thing is I was charged a cleaning fee and when I arrived to the cabin all of the floors were so sticky that we couldn't even take out shoes off there was food crumbs and dirt/dust under all the beds and couches and under the table plus the property was littered with cigarettes butts front and back of property I really feel like the cabin was never cleaned....but the house was beautiful we really enjoyed it will definitely be back to rent at elk mont lodge just hope they get there cleaning crew to shape up

The cabin is spacious for the family, but its cleanliness in general is terrible from the sheets, curtains, lamps, kitchen items were dirty (previously used and not cleaned), bathrooms and even very dirty and dusty balcony areas. Apparently the sheets of the beds were used by other previous guests since hairs were found in all the beds, which was notified to the owner and they only sent a few sheets not for all the beds and they promised us they would send a cleaning team that never arrived. The kitchen items were incomplete, there were not enough cutlery for the whole family, the refrigerator had the water and ice pipes full of fungus which is unacceptable for health and much less for the cleaning parameters required by VRBO and that even the cleaning costs are very high which one expects to be spotless. In the ad it indicated that there was a hockey table which was not in the cabin which should be removed from the description. Also the septic tank was full whereby there was an unpleasant feces smell in the surroundings and balcony area of the cabin. The cabin was so dusty that it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned for months. I find it unacceptable and unfair to pay for a 5-star cabin and receive a 1 star service/stay. We thank Mark who very kindly tried to help us with certain things. although the impression had already damaged our family vacations. In short, sadly we regret booking at Elk Springs Resort. if we could upload photos we would do it as proof. Very unpleasant.

My suggestions for improving the property. Get a larger TV in the living room. Current tv is about 32 inches which doesn't fit the scale of the room and is hard to see. Towels are really small. Made for little people or kids, bring your own if you can. Add a couple of larger skillets. There's one large skillet and one small skillet. If you're cooking for a large group, it's a bit difficult to navigate.

I did have some issues upon arrival. No water. Beeping smoke detector. Gas smell from grill. However, they were resolved within half-hour or so. Management stayed in touch by text.

Overall, despite minor mishaps and some minor items in need of improvement, I would stay again at Elk Springs resort.

Property was not what was advertised online. No Air Hockey Table. The master shower downstairs has severe drainage issues and molded shower curtain and molded flooring around the shower. The Theater room was extremely difficult to work. No Extra blankets anywhere. Limited kitchen supplies. I took photos of everything so if I need to post them I will.
