Outside of a few issues when we 1st arrived it was a very nice stay

We really enjoyed this house. It had plenty of room for the ten of us to spread out when needed and just the right size table for family meals. The rooms were nice sizes and well furnished, with a lot of linens provided. It is well furnished and the extra beach items like chairs and the large wheeled cart were a huge plus! The kitchen had an odd collection of serving trays and not many choices to store left overs.The hot tub and pool are really nice, though as others have shared there isn't much shade by the pool most of the day. Communication with the manager was great, kept in touch before we arrived and on day of checkout. Having a gas grill with gas provided was a plus. The walk to the beach was not too far and the grocery store is the next street up the road, you could walk if you want to carry groceries back.

We had a group of 12 with 6 children ranging in age from 1 year to 12 years. The bedroom configuration worked out perfectly as did the layout of the home. Ocean Sands had a well equipped kitchen with everything we needed, including extra beach chairs, a beach cart, extra kitchen and pool towels, a nice play area for the kids, games, puzzles and of course the pool and beach. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again in the future.

This home is impressive. Lots of room for all 9 of us. Every kitchen appliance you could ever need or want. Pool and hot tub were fantastic! Home is close to beach. Check in was easy and Eileen, Property Manager was great to work with. OBX is wonderful, but this home made our family trip outstanding.

We had a group of 12 looking for something close to the beach with a pool. Check in was a breeze and Eileen was very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The home exceeded our expectations in terms of amenities, space and layout. The house was equipped with everything from spare beach chairs, games, and even a beach cart. The location of the house itself was secluded, yet within a short walk to the beach access. With this house, all you have to do is show up and enjoy, everything you need is right there.

Was probably the best vacation I’ve ever been on! It was enjoyed by everyone. Would definitely stay here again

Very nice property. Easy walk to the beach. Pool was great. Kitchen could use a Keurig coffee maker but other than that was well supplied. Our family had a great time.

This house was perfect. Quick walk to the beach. Pool and hot tub on the property. Extremely clean. Very easy to talk to owner. Next time we just need to bring an umbrella or something for shade. Highly recommend this property!!!!!!

Nice house for a large group.

Enjoyed staying here. Lots of space with the 4 bedrooms each with own bath, & 2 with jack and Jill. Lots of steps in the house & beach access, would not work well for handicap or babies that don’t do steps. Have gates but aren’t able to be used easily. Pool was a nice size & a plus for kids. Not much shade. Bring your own floats. Nice area to bike with wide sidewalks & quiet neighborhood. Can also bike to beach. Beach was not crowded & sand was clean & soft with unique shells scattered throughout. Kitchen was small for a large group. Nice large dining table to seat 12 & high chair a plus. House was clean & beds made when we arrived. First floor was the 4 bedrooms 2 with own bath 2 with jack & Jill. Upstairs main living area with king master. The deck off kitchen was wonderful. Would have been nice to have an umbrella for morning sun & table & chairs for outdoor eating, but did have a very comfy patio set. The beds were comfy for the most part except the twins were extremely firm.

Smooth Sailing was amazing. My family and I had a very memorable week in this house and I would absolutely rent here again in the future. The pool and outdoor shower were my most favorite parts. The King mattress seemed new and it was extremely comfortable. Thank you, Eileen, for your hospitality.

The house was very clean. It had everything we needed and more. Lots of room, beach chairs ,carts to carry things to beach. We had 6 adults and 7 kids (4-15). If any problem came up Eileen handled it quickly and graciously

This was our second time renting this property and once again it was fabulous! Upgraded deck was beautiful. The house was clean and fully stocked with what we needed. Short walk to the beach and an amazing pool!! We were sad the basketball hoop is no longer there. We had a great week and hope to return!

The perfect house in this price range for 3 families (6 adults, 6 kids ages 2-9). The home was exactly as advertised and felt bigger than the photos. We arrived to a clean home and fully stocked - including some beach wagons and chairs. The kids loved having the pool and we loved the safety features like additional gates on the decks and fenced pool area, separate from the play set. The home layout was perfect for 3 families, with each couple having a private bathroom and the two kids rooms sharing a Jack & Jill bathroom. The beds were all comfortable, the home was quiet, as well as a nice quiet neighborhood. The walk to the beach was quick, even with many little kids. The only tricky part was the stairs leading up and over the dune if we had a lot of beach gear, but the stretch of beach was really clean and the lifeguards at Section D was a bonus. A 0.6 mile walk along the sidewalk to Duck Donuts, Harris Teeter grocery, and Off the Wall Tap House. We would definitely rent here again!

The house was very clean when arrived. The host provided linens, towels and beach towels. Very short walk to the beach. The grocery store and other shopping areas were a very short drive. Eileen was easy to communicate with. We had a minor issue and she resolved it immediately! We would rent this home again for sure

Our family all enjoyed our stay, the house and the location. Very responsive and quick for anything we needed.

This home was everything we wanted! We had two families sharing for one week in June. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The two families had plenty of space. It is about a 5 minute walk from the beach. The beach was never overly crowded and the kids had a blast. The entire area of Corolla is amazing, we found so many things to do during the day. The home does have a lot of steps and may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. We would definitely stay at this property again

This property was wonderful for my bachelorette beach weekend! It is spacious, clean, and secluded from neighboring properties. I loved that it was just a short walking distance from the beach and the pool and hot tub were great to relax in at the end of the day. Eileen was great about communication leading up to the trip and made sure we had everything we needed. If this house is available, you need to book it before it is gone!

We very much enjoyed this house. Close to the beach, heated pool, and the playground were all great for our young kids. The house did not feel worn out everything looked up-to-date and clean. Property manager was responsive and helpful.

This house was great and we had a relaxing long weekend. It was so nice to have a pool, a hot tub, and be just steps from the beach. It was even really close to the grocery store. The house was spacious and comfortable; the kitchen had everything we needed, it was great to have a big washer and dryer, and we appreciated the beach towels. Eileen was also really nice and easy to work with. We’d definitely return and I would definitely recommend.

The weather was fantastic and plenty to do. Home offered tons of amenities to keep young kids busy. However, home could use outdoor maintenance.

Very nice property located close to the ocean. Would recommend it to any family for a fine home at a great vacation- the Outer Banks.

Lovely home for all of us to stay in. Plenty of space for the younger and older children to play or relax. The house was wonderfully clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything you could ask for (though if you're like us and need a rice cooker or wok do bring your own). FYI there is no automatic ice maker but that wasn't a deal breaker - there were a lot of ice trays provided. Owner was quick to respond to any issues. AC was awesome, the home was not muggy or hot like other OBX homes we've stayed at. The beds were super comfortable! Best of all the water pressure in the showers was fantastic. The washer/dryer worked wonderfully and it's a blessing to go home after a week away without having to wash piles of laundry upon return! The provided towels and linens were perfectly clean and very convenient. The location was certainly private. The kiddos enjoyed the playset and the pool immensely. We appreciated that the pool was serviced while we were there - it was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The trek to the beach is not too bad at all - a couple blocks - though I certainly would not want to walk further than that. The beach itself was *wonderful*. A lifeguard was situated right at the steps and the sand and shore was perfect. Waves weren't too strong and our kiddos had a blast. There was plenty of space to maintain distance between other families. One night there were no clouds so we were able to do some astrophotography and saw plenty of shooting stars and even captured the Milky Way galaxy. We loved that the Harris Teeter was so close and there was a large variety of places to order take-out which was great! We stocked up on our OBX gear at Super Wings and sampled some of the delicious icecream shops nearby. Overall, the house was wonderfully comfortable, well maintained, clean, and relaxing. I highly encourage other families, especially if you have littles, to check this place out!

We had a great stay! The house was immaculate and extremely well-equipped for a family with young children — there were even child-proof locks for the cabinets! The play set was a huge hit, and we all enjoyed the clean, spacious, and well-stocked pool area. We had absolutely no problems. The only drawback, which we considered minor, was the fact that there were about 15 steps from the beach up and over the dunes, making it a bit difficult to use a beach cart. The beach itself was wonderful, and did not have a steep drop-off like other places we’ve been. We would definitely return.

We had a great time and the house was great! Better and more towels would have made it perfect!

From surfing the net to find a property to the check in and the check out all was perfect thanks to our agent Eileen.

The space was large enough for our group of 8 adults and 3 toddlers. It was great that the property had a pool and playground area. Some of the listing regarding the private beach path and the tub/shower combos in bathrooms was misleading. Some bathrooms only had showers which didn’t work for bath time with kids, but there are two tubs in other rooms so it worked out okay. The kitchen is also a little small for cooking for a large group. We had a great time and the property manager is super responsive and friendly. We would stay here again despite some minor inconveniences.

Great space for our families with 6 kids 7 and under. Quick walk to the beach and Harris teeter!
