Benvenuti a ONE PARTICULAR HARBOUR, la nostra divertente casa per le vacanze al mare. Abbastanza spazio per una vacanza in famiglia con molti servizi aggiuntivi. A pochi passi dalla spiaggia (300 iarde) lungo un sentiero alberato e in una strada tranquilla. La casa si trova in un tranquillo cul de sac. Offriamo ombrelloni, sdraio, giochi da spiaggia e un carrello per trasportarli.

This rental home is affordable and well appointed for families with children and pets. The layout is great for two families and the house is well stocked. The walk is an easy one to the beach; beautiful wooded shaded trail. The pool area is fenced securely and the main level has a built in baby gate. The pool is nice and warm and the decks are gated and clean. Quiet neighborhood. Grocery stores and shopping a mile away. The beach is wide and flat, not crowded at all, and high tide brings wading pools perfect for little ones. The AC wrnt out our first day, but the owner replied immediately and a tech arrived the next morning and quickly got it fixed (the condensate drain was clogged and the overflow switch cut off the thermostat as a result.) The owner supplies a welcome bag of the basic necessities so dont stress about brining those items. They also supply plenty of pool towels and toys, beach chajrs and a cart. Highly recommend!

It was all as advertised. We needed the pool cleaned mid week and we inquired through the property manager and got an immediate response back.

The house worked well for our family group of 11, including 3 teens and a tween + 7 adults, including 2 grandparents at age 75. The location was great --- a
5-minute walk to the beach, within a mile or so of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, mini-golf, etc. We all had a great time. The only negative would be that the cleaning crew needs to do a better job: there were water bottles and other discarded items under 2 of the beds when we arrived, and we had to wait an additional 80 minutes to gain access to the house. The BBQ grill basin had not been cleaned in quite a while, and the oven, too. These issues, however, did not dampen our spirits or our enjoyment of the house. The pool was a big plus, and there were always 4 or 5 in it after the beach and at night.

We were all disappointed when we arrived because it looked small & not in the best location compared to pictures when you 1st see it. However, once you walk in you quickly learned you were perceived! It’s a good size with so many floors. The pool is small however, perfect to hang out in especially having children. It was such a peace of mind that all the kids could touch the bottom! Over all very well surfaced cleaned. We were putting off going to the beach because it didn’t seem close then finally went on day 2 randomly walked there and the walk wasn’t bad at all!!!!! We literally carried like 6 beach chairs provided with 3 coolers and the push cart provided by the house with towels etc with no issue. It would be a hard walk for anyone not good with stairs but a lot of the beaches have stair cases you have to use.
The location is okay, you do have to drive everywheee but it’s only like a 4 minute drive to plenty of shops/stores! The kitchen is stocked!
Cons: pool guy/garbage pick up different days then stated. A guy was randomly in the house with no warning when we weren’t there to fix a chair which we didn’t feel comfortable with!!!! All our stuff was out it felt violating. No swiffer for floors. Also the bunk bed room had such a bad odor none of the kids would sleep in it which made nights hard. We could not find the source so we shut the door and didn’t use it after night 1. & all mattresses hard super firm.

The property was great! Enough space for the family and the pool was great after a beach day to cool off. The beach is a little bit of a walk and a lot of steps over the dunes. We loved sitting out on the porches at night. Great house and would recommend!

The home was great for our family (a group of 14). It was within walking distance of the beach (we tended to drive and drop people and chairs, then park back at the house and walk), and was perfect for a vacation spot. There are many restaurants that are a short drive away (about 5 minutes), as well as a grocery store and some activities. If you want more, you'll have to go further south to Kitty Hawk or somewhere like that, but this was very nice. We would definitely stay again.

We rented this property for our very big vacation for 3 best friends and their crew. The location was wonderful, the trail took us straight to the beach within five minutes (look for the trail through the trees, even though it was marked in the pictures online I second guessed myself because it was between two other houses). Well stocked grocery stores within a mile going in either direction on the main road along with other little shops and things to do.
The house was perfect for our group, just enough bedrooms for all and spread across floors which gave everyone plenty of room if they wanted to step away for a bit.
Kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans for cooking, a regular coffee pot (not the kind that uses the kcups). We picked the house because the dining table was large for our crew plus there was extra seating in the living room and kitchen counter.
Pool was 4’ all across which was great for the kids (and peace of mind for parents) and the hot tub was awesome for the grown ups!
We had one issue towards the beginning of the trip (the A/C was not working on the top floor-1 bedroom plus the kitchen and living area). But we called the property manager and someone did come out the next day (given we called Sunday we thought that was very responsive).
We marked 4 for cleaning because there were some spots that were overlooked, but we were already unpacked and did it ourselves (not anything really gross just a few spots). Would stay here again!

The place was wonderful! The walk to the beach was made easy due to a tree-covered path for half the walk. The kitchen was awesomely stocked with plenty of dishes, pans, and cooking utensils. It was close to the grocery stores. We would stay there again!

We arrived early and were able to access the pool until the cleaners were finished at our check in time. The property was clean and everything was working well. Pool was small but ended up being perfect for the smaller kids we had in tow. Location is perfect, close to grocery stores and private community beach access and the beach was pristine. We had a party of 11 including and infant and everyone had their own space and privacy when needed. The movie theatre was the perfect spot for the kids to have their own space as well.
This property is perfect for a family similar in size and age range to ours. Quiet and absolutely everything needed to enjoy OBX. Great job!

The property was in a great location. We had maybe a five minute walk to the beach…. Very convenient. The house was like the picture and very spacious. We enjoyed our stay. There were a couple small issues but the property manager was very accessible and responded quickly. Overall my family had a great time and would consider renting this property again.

We enjoyed the area very much. We were close to all we planned to do. Everyone really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The theater room and game room were a hit. The area was peaceful and quiet. Exactly what you need on vacation

Our family of 13 had a fantastic time! The house was so much fun. It had plenty of room. The pool was small but great for our teens. The house was so cheerful and clean. It was such an easy walk to the beach. It was a quiet neighborhood, but was only about a mile away from restraunts, supermarkets, and activities. It was wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay in Corolla, the beaches are beautiful and it’s a great, clean area with lots to see and do. The rental house was a quick walk to the beach and we enjoyed having a pool as well. The common area and kitchen were plenty of room for our group of 7, and we enjoyed making meals and sitting around the big table. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We had a great week!!

We enjoyed our stay with our family however the Property Management needs to do better with maintaining the owners property. The house cleaners are not cleaning very well. We had to wash all of the sheets and towels over again as they smelled like cigarettes. The bathrooms needed to be scrubbed upon entry and the floors on the top floor I had to wash. The bathroom sink in one bathroom on the second floor was clogged and the tub in the other bathroom on the second floor was clogged. The carport entry door we could not use the first day because the batteries were dead. However the one gentleman at the Management Company was very helpful and came the next morning and fixed thieve things. The air conditioning on the top floor was not working the first theee days we were there and it took the Management company until Wednesday to actually call the air conditioning company and have someone come and fix it. This was after two days of me calling them multiple times. The owner is wonderful and answered all of my emails and was very apologetic. I believe the management company either needs to be reprimanded for not doing their job and maintaining this property or the owner needs to find a more reputable company.

Needs a deep clean!
This property is about a 10 minute walk to the beach with access using stairs. If you are handicapped, this isn’t the property for you. The kids loved the movie theater and the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, our first day there, we saw roaches. The property company came right out and sprayed and that seemed to work. Having this property deep cleaned will help that problem. It’s a necessity at this point.

Property was nice but needs to be cleaned
The review we are leaving is due to the fact that the property really really needs a deep clean. Usually we are not ones to complain but with the amount of money we spent to stay here for a week there were definitely shortcomings.
For example, the property was filled with dust. All of the vents, the decor, the ceiling fans, the lights, there was a ton of dust. The outside decks were also in need of a clean. The windows on the outside of the property were also really dirty.
The mattress on the 3rd floor bedroom was extremely uncomfortable and it was not even set up for us with matching sheets.
Of course there were a lot of pros to the property as well! The kids absolutely loved the movie theater room and the game room! The kitchen was SO great and had everything you could possible need in terms of dishes and cookware. We really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen.
There was a ton of space for our family to spread out and the pool and hot tub were fantastic! We spent a few days just hanging out in the pool! The outdoor shower was also really nice and there was a TON of beach toys and chairs for to us as well as the beach cart!
The walk to the beach was super quick and the beach was absolutely gorgeous.
Overall we really did have a wonderful time but I hope the property gets the deep clean it needs and more attention is paid to the details of a house that costs more than 3 grand a week to rent.

Nice place
The house was nice. There are some updates that are needed (the mattresses were hard). There were spider webs everywhere. We found dirty rags in one of the bathrooms upon arrival. Overall, the place is great, it fit the needs of our family. We enjoyed our stay!

Quiet Safe Community
This is good for family but quite a hike to the beach. The upstairs water pressure is low but that may be a Corolla water issue. Everyone could relax and enjoy themselves.

Fine
Property definitely could use a deep clean. We had to wash all the comforters, dust the fans/light fixtures, and clean the outdoor areas of bugs/spiderwebs ourselves. The impression was that property management does the minimum. But everything was otherwise as described (minus a beach umbrella) and we had a nice time.

not what I expected
Though the walk was fairly long walk to the beach, we could handle it - it was all the steps though! Would be a real problem for elderly and handicapped. As well, the place was not clean. I do not blame the owner by any means - she was extremely helpful and easy to contact. But instead, the company she had taking care of the house. I would be very upset were I the owner! The owner was notified about this as I would want to know.

Beach Vacation
I am struggling with how to write this review. The house is what it described but the pictures must have been taken years ago and there has been some serious wear and tear to the place. When we got there the keyless entries had run out of batteries so we had to contact the management company to come out and fix them to get in. The front door was never repaired so we just used the side door all week. The place was disgusting when we got there. Beer cans left, random clothing and jewelry on the floors, fresh(old) food in cabinets, sticky floors and mold on the shower curtains. When we let the owner know she sent out some cleaners the next day to take of it but we had already unpacked and only the main areas could be addressed. She was very apologetic and was not happy with the first cleaning company. Most of the chairs for the beach are broken we didn’t see an umbrella at all. The bathrooms have no bath mats so we had to use towels and there are no hooks anywhere to hang towels after a shower. The deck railing was very shaky and the management company came to look at that as well. Nothing could be done at that point but hopefully can be addressed in the future. On a good note the location to the beach was great and never crowded. The house was a good size and we never felt like we were on top of each other. We didn’t let the first things ruin our trip and we had a great time.

Beautiful House, perfect location!
We had a great trip, the house was as described, very spacious, plenty of dishes, cups, silverware etc, the 4 kids loved the pool, super easy walk to the beach, my nieces and nephews asked when we can come back. :-) Could use an updated coffee pot and blender, maybe a couple of adult lounging floats for the pool, but these are minor things that did not affect our trip at all! Thank you so much for an enjoyable, relaxing week.

It was okay
The house was fine. Owner was very attentive to answer any questions. The cleaners were still there at 6:30 due to previous guests. Didn’t have some essential items, kitchen towels, baking pans but they brought some Monday morning. Could use a better coffee pot and blender. Had to fix a ceiling fan in bedroom, replace batteries and light bulbs. Over all it needs some TLC. On the plus side, there were plenty of towels for both bath and pool. Close proximity to beach. Pool and hot tub were nice.

The hook up was super easy. -Pool was large enough for our three kids although it’s not big. That said, I don’t think anyone has a “big” pool in the OBX unless the house is huge. Hot tub was an added bonus since two days were a little chillier. -Lots of outside deck space on every level to read, have coffee, etc. Things to consider:-The bunk bed room on the lowest level (next to the theater) would be good for teens, but my youngest two (7 and 11) agreed they wouldn’t have wanted to sleep down there as it’s very secluded and they might have felt a bit scared as it’s tucked away from anyone else and feels very basement-y.-We loved all the deck space, but we would have liked better seating options as chairs on both upper levels were outrageously uncomfortable and splintery. We ended up hauling some plastic chairs from the pool area up to the third floor.

Wonderful getaway
The house was great! It was nice to vacation with the dogs. It was a nice setup, with the built in baby gate on the top floor and all enclosed decks. The house was very well equipped with everything. My only suggestion would be more hooks for hanging towels. Overall, it was a great place to stay, beautiful decor, and great accomodations!

Newbie house renters had a wonderful experience!!
We arrived at the house after a long drive from Ohio and were so pleased with the accommodations. The weather was not so great so the first couple of days were spent watching dvd's and playing games with the littles ones...Thank goodness for the great library of games...i think we played every one that was suitable from 8 and under!! Chicken Limbo was hilarious!! Once the weather got better we spent every moment we could either at the beach, the pool or site seeing...one detour to the Outer Banks Emergency Room, which I have to say was quick, helpful and everyone was so sweet. The three year old was not traumatized by her visit at all...we just went on to the aquarium in Nags Head...nice distraction...
Since we were there at the end of the season alot of the beach equipment had been woefully used and abused...not one boogie board had the cords on them (which may not be a big deal for those accustomed to using them) so we were afraid they would get away from us and the beach chairs were in pretty bad shape.
There is only a short walk to the beach but don't overload yourself with too many things....the steps over the dunes can get some getting used to especially if travelling with small children.
Overall, this was the best vacation we have ever had and look forward to doing it again soon!! Thank you for your hospitality...Cheryl was so gracious and answered every question that i had and i had a few!

We had a great time at one particular place. Everything you might need is provided and convenient my family and pets had a blast. Very relaxing vacation. I recommend this house!

Girls Getaway Weekend
We enjoyed our stay at One Particular Harbor for our girls getaway. The owner was friendly and very attentive to our needs. We had a great time in the hot tub and enjoyed the beach. The house had fun, bright decor and was clean and spacious.

Great Rental – Cannot wait for my stay next year!!
What a comfortable, cozy, and clean house to stay in with only about a 5-7 minute walk to the beach! The website pictures and information described the house to a T but it is even better in person. What made this house stand out above other homes we have rented in the past is how attentive the owners were, I felt like I personally knew them! They called the day after we checked in to make sure everything was OK in the house and had even left some good general information for the house on the fridge as well as for the surrounding area. The kitchen was awesome, I was amazed at how much was available for us to use in the kitchen and really throughout the entire house. I know the owners just took over the property before the 2010 season, but they really have the process down! Their communication before, during, and after our stay was awesome! We enjoyed the home so much, we are definitely going to rent again next year. The pool, beach, and great room were definitely the most popular areas, but the decks were so nice to just relax on at night after the sun went down. Overall, I think this is a great home to vacation in, with nice owners to boot, and cannot wait for our vacation stay here next year!

Can't be beat for the money!
This was the first time we visited this particular part of the Outer Banks and our stay couldn't have been better. The house is very inviting, inside and out, and the owners were extremely friendly and even called the day after check-in to see how our stay was going. I have to say, that is above and beyond. We have stayed at rental homes up and down the east coast and elsewhere, and the owners of One Particular Harbor seemed genuinely concerned that we have a good time in their home. The great room on the top floor was where we spent most of our time (other than the pool and the beach!) because it allowed all of us to gather no matter what was going on; cooking, eating, watching TV or movies...everything! The beach is nearby and it only took a short walk through a wooded area behind the home and down a short street to reach the dunes. All in all, I hope to visit One Particular Harbor again in the future, maybe even in the off-season for some much needed mid-season R&R!

Long Walk to Beach and Tired Decor
Very disappointed in this house rental. It is not a 5 minute walk to beach, it's almost 15 minutes, not fun when you have to lug beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. Owners seem nice and I believe they just took ownership this year. The house needs major sprucing up. The bathrooms could have been cleaner. The ceiling fans were filthy--so much dust on the blades we wouldn't even run them in the bedrooms. The bedroom with the bunk beds had a horrible odor--good thing no one slept in there. A paint job would do wonders for the inside. The bedding was tired and old--bleach stains all over our blue sheets. Glad we brought our own blanket and pillows. The vertical blinds in the the master bedroom were missing about five slats. We had to cover with the quilt to keep out the sunlight in the morning. The pool was a saving grace, cold water and full of jellies. However, put some umbrellas and tables out in the pool area.
Little things go a long way--this house just missed them all. No umbrellas, beach chairs that should have been replaced. No dvd player. Loaded with a bunch of old vcr tapes, but no vcr to play them in. Nothing unique or charming about this place.
