wonderful fall get away. perfect weekend cottage on lake, cozy, excellent value

We stayed for a long weekend with 2 young children and 4 adults. Nice waterfront property with a great dock. Great location and convenient to town. Older property but comfortable.

The location was perfect, we spent all of our time relaxing on the dock and floating in the lake. James was great, very responsive to our questions. Even on the weekend it was quiet and peaceful. I would absolutely stay here again!

Overall the property was great for what we needed. The dock was outstanding. We watched the sunrise over the lake each day. The cottage is a little dated but we really only slept and showered there. Glad there was a new coffee pot which we took advantage of every morning.

This rental was a great space for our short family stay. We enjoyed the water a lot. The kayaks and boards were great. We brought some floating chairs that added a ton of relaxing water fun for our family to enjoy. The place was close by a great marina that allowed us to change our rental times easily and they were very great to work with. The only reason for a lower rating was the dead bugs around the house, the smoke detector was not intact and therefore not working as designed and lawn service arrived around 9pm to mow the property.

Gorgeous comfy spot right on the lake! We enjoyed the dock and quiet inlet for swimming every day of our stay. The access to water toys - kayaks, fishing poles and boogie boards was a fun add-on. The living room furniture is so comfortable! Only cable TV, no internet. There is a full size bunk bed for kids and a 2nd bedroom 2 full beds for adults. Kitchen is okay. No dishwasher and lots of mismatched items. Bathrooms need renovation but are functional. AC worked very well when we were there in the height of summer! Would recommend and return to this quiet, small lake getaway!

The property was exactly as described. If you want a quick trip to the lake, do not hesitate to pick this wonderul little gem!

We visited family for a few days. Beautiful view of the lake and fishing good off the dock. Inside was home away from home!!! Nice kitchen with refrigerator/oven, etc. no internet but that’s great - a breather. Comfortable furniture and beds!! I couldn’t think of anything negative cause everything was great. Met wife of owner, very personable and friendly. It’s a must place to rent!

My family and I absolutely loved this little cottage. It was perfect for us 4. And the views!!!!! Loved them! The dock was newer and where we spent most of our time. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here with some friends for a couple nights over a weekend and had a great time. James was very responsive and the house was clean. Best part was obviously the gorgeous lake view. I’d stay here again.

Had a great weekend at James' place. Nice yard and docks for the kids to play. House is older, a bit reminiscent of the older lake houses but entirely adequate. Really enjoyed it...thanks!

The cottage was exactly what we needed. It was 15 minutes away from our daughters home ( We haven't seen her since she moved to Mooresville 2 years ago). I realize it was probably preseason for visitors, so it explains a lot of the minor unfinished updates to the property. The only real dissapointment was the condition of the grill.

We really enjoyed this cozy cottage! Very clean and located so close to restaurants and everything. Very nice house owner who made sure we were very comfortable and had everything we needed.

A beautiful setting!

This was a girls retreat and it was perfect. The cabin is very cozy and nice, beautiful views in a peaceful location. We enjoyed kayaking with the provided kayaks, loved exploring the lake, we sat on the deck and admired the scenery everyday we were there. Thank you ! We’d love to come back.

The home is very cute, had adequate room, and a gorgeous view. I loved sitting on the dock and we caught several large fish from the dock. The home is older but still very nice.

The cabin is clean, comfortable, has an amazing view, is located in a peaceful neighborhood, has good AC, and swimming and kayaking are available right outside the door!

Perfect size for a small family, used kayaks & dock every day (lots of comfy patio chairs for lounging), gorgeous view no central a/c however there is a wall unit which keeps living room cool (bedrooms get warm when doors are closed)

Convenient to grocery store, lakefront with easy access to dock. Boat launch close by at inland marina. Air condition kept house comfy, kayaks and floats nice added feature. We hope to book again next year!!

Home was a great location and owner responds quickly ,only problem i had was home was not up to date and cleanliness of the home...but did enjoy our stay had everything we needed and wish it had a t.v. in main bathroom.... But would stay there again

This property was just as advertised, right on the lake shore, included water toys, a beautiful view day and night, comfortable and cozy. We are already planning another trip!

The cabin is quaint and cozy! The dock and beach are where the money is. One of the best views on the lake. The cove is quiet and very peaceful. The inside has not been updated in quite some time, but it was comfortable and made us feel at home. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the interior. SPIDERS galor!! I am not sure when it was last used, but upon entry there were multiple webs we ran face first into. The A/C was not on and the house had a musty smell. Again probably from lack of use. All in all it was a great stay and I did not contact the owner to have him rectify the cleaning aspect....I was good enough for the few days we were there. The view was worth it anyway. Couple of thing to be away of are - No Wifi and TV is very limited. If you want a fantastci lake front property this is definately worth it.

peaceful beautiful view but house f has been not maintained and was dirty the grille was hard to light both porches had to be cleaned in order not to track crap in from out side refridge had old food inside tv only receives a few stations no internet
