My family of 6, that includes ages 11 to 75 years old and my 1.5 yr. old small dog, really enjoyed the house. It is a bit of a drive from the town of Bodega Bay but worth it because it is overlooking a cliff in a very private, small neighborhood. When we first opened the gate to the home it welcomed us to a well kept patio/garden area. Then a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean from the living room windows greeted us from the front doors. The house was tastefully appointed. Both bedrooms were very large in comparison to rentals we have experienced. Everything was updated and the kitchen was well stocked with the basic cooking utensils needed (something we find lacking in past rentals). Also, the essential cooking supplies were there as well (again, not common). The area is central to great activities for foodies, especially Tomales Bay for the fresh Oyster Farms. The beach offerings between Bodega Bay and the rental were plentiful, but Shell Beach was the star if you are up to very steep stairs to the beach. It is a wonderful playground for all ages that love and respect the awe of marine eco systems. The only negatives I have are that the rental cliff deck has no railings. I was aware when I rented it but is dangerous for small kids and dogs. There is a side deck with a hot tub and fire pit that is secured but there is no barrier between the side deck to the cliff deck. Also, shy on bath towels. Otherwise great stay!

We had the best time celebrating our one year anniversary over Labor Day weekend at Aftermath. We were very excited that the property was pet friendly so we could bring our best boy, Gunther, with as well!! The views from house are breathtaking and we loved being able to walk to the beach to play ball with Gunther. Our favorite part was enjoying the sunsets from the hot tub after dinner. Very clean, well stocked and the perfect location. We can’t wait to come back and are already planning our next trip!

What a lovely place to stay! The description is absolutely accurate. I will add this because it's not in the description. The kitchen has what you would expect PLUS MORE! There are spices, foil, saran wrap, coffee filters, plenty of what you need to cook all the meals! The views are amazing in sun or fog. This is the perfect house if you don't want to leave it or if you want to go grab dinner out. The only downside (and it isn't really one) - there is no washer or dryer. We are a weird family who likes to wash our things so we don't have to do it once home from a lovely trip. The host is helpful and friendly. We would stay here again and again.

We feel fortunate to have found this gem and have been returning for the past 7 years. It’s so rejuvenating for all of us. The view is hypnotizing. Beth is a great host.

Since coming here in 2020 we have made it an annual. This time we brought our 16 month old granddaughter for her first beach trip. Everything about Aftermath is magical. We wish we never had to leave!

About our 5th time and SO loving the work done to improve it without it losing its character. Love it there so much! Best weather we ever had.

We love this place called Aftermath. Its peaceful, quiet, beautiful. The view of the ocean is mesmerizing. Walking down to the beach is super fun and energizing. A few steps out the door. Love the hot tub overlooking the ocean. Fire pit overlooking the ocean is nice. Bathrooms, kitchen, Living area spacious. Beds are SO comfortable. Beautiful views from the Master bedroom and living area. Very clean. Owner is very attentive. Awesome hiking so close along the ocean. The most wonderful variety of restaurants close by the Harbor. We had the most relaxing, restorative, BLESSED time. Wish we could come 4 times a year!

All your troubles melt away the second you enter the house and see the water. Its calming and magical and we will see you next July!
