Better in person!

Great place. family had a wonderful time. I only thing lacking was a descent table and chairs for at the pool. We all agreed would stay here again anytime.

The house is beautiful, and had everything we needed especially in the kitchen. Having a private pool was great as well. It's close enough to the beach to walk. Close to the grocery store and Dollar General. The owner was very nice, always reachable when we had a question, he was so very helpful, and considerate when we had to change our travel dates due to a family loss. I could never thank him enough. We can't wait to come back next year. I will also be letting my family and friends know about the house.

The property is a lot bigger than advertised. We really enjoyed our stay. The host was quick to respond with any questions asked. Would stay here again!

This property is a lot nicer in person than the pictures. It was a really nice house that was perfect for our spring break trip. It was in the middle of everything with stores in walking distance. Short walk to the beach as well. The only negative was that the wifi didn’t work. I called the owner and he said there really wasn’t much he could do about it unless I wanted to call the wifi company. Other than that it was great.

Great house, great location. A few things need to be fixed but very satisfied with our stay. Would stay again.

Our stay was great the house was big enough to accommodate 4 adults and 6 children. We enjoyed the pool and grilling outside. Overall it was a great experience. Gabriel was a great host and was available when we had any questions.

We had a wonderful time as a family on the property. It was very clean and only a walk away from the beach.

This property was nice and clean. The property manager even called to let me know about extra available days. The location was great also.

Would NOT recommend! It has roaches, Sheetrock falling off the ceiling and walls , roof leaks, pool was nasty and no one came to fix it when we were told, all patio furniture was rotten and falling apart, and limited dishes that were almost unusable. Had hardly any towels. Washer was fine, however the dryer does not work well. Took 3-4 times to actually dry all the clothes. Upstairs restroom, when flushed the whole house smells of sewer!!!

Our stay was nice and accommodated our group of 10 well. We enjoyed the grill and pool many times over our stay. There were plenty plates, kitchen utensils, etc available for use, which was helpful since we cooked breakfast and dinner almost daily. The short walk to the beach was absolutely perfect and one of the main reasons we choose this house. We didn’t have enough towels for our group but we’re able to make it work by utilizing the washer/dryer. We did have an issue with a few roaches, but I expect that was due to Terminex spraying at the neighbors house. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and our family time together. Gabriel was wonderful with communicating and quickly responded to any questions we had.

Had a great time

Friends and family stayed here for my 50th birthday and it was perfect for what I wanted. Plenty of room for 10 of us, beach was walking distance from location, private pool provided evening fun after beach all day. Meals were made in the open concept kitchen along with plenty of laughs and memories. We will definitely stay again when visiting South Padre Island.

At first I was a little skeptical of how good the price looked but also how in the pictures it looked a little old styled but as soon as we entered I was more skeptical of how GOOD it looked!! All of our party ,(8 adults) were in love! Very very nice place, very quiet and private. We'll definitely go back!

I almost don't want want leave this review so I can keep this as a hidden gem... but Gabriel was such a good host I felt the need to post it. Getting into property was easy. Once inside you really felt like you were secluded from everything outside. Backyard even moreso with the high fencing and private pool. Location was close to everything. Beach is a short 2 minute walk. A few takeout places within 5 minutes walking distance. The street itself is relatively quiet with not much traffic. Parking fits 2 vehicles without an issue. Inside house is very spacious and plenty of room for family to all enjoy together. The living room consisted of 2 couches/sofa beds and 2 recliners. Also had a flat screen TV. The fridge and freezer work amazingly well and the stove seemed to do the trick. I was not able to locate baking pans and or a lid for the pot but they seemed to have an abundance of other cups, plates and utensils. The downstairs bedroom has a TV as well as 2 large beds. We easily fit 2 people in each bed. It seemed to be a converted garage but stayed just as cool as the rest of the house. There is a full bathroom downstairs with a shower and tub. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms. A master bedroom has a large bed and its own private full bathroom including a walk in shower. The smaller bedroom has 2 small beds. I imagine you may be able to fit 2 small children on each bed but not 2 adults. The smaller room had no TV upstairs. Backyard was where we spent majority of our time. There is a pretty large private pool that the kids took full advantage of. There is a picnic table with 2 benches to relax or eat. There is also a charcoal BBQ pit available for use as well as the utensils needed. Rear sliding door to backyard is a hassle to open and close (as mentioned in most other reviews). I realized trick is to hold handle and pull the back end of the door to close easier. The sliding door truly was the only thing I found remotely wrong with this property and to be honest since we had a young one with us I think it did ease our mind that he would likely not be able to open it by himself. Overall this place was exactly what we needed. It's not the most fancy place on the planet and the coastal air has weathered some of the structure but overall for the price, location and amenities I will definitely be renting again in the future!!! Couldn't check in until 330 (3pm check in) trash outside, stove top cracked, dining table delaming, doors old and rotting, water damage right corner entrance, alot of old damage just patched.

It was great. Enough room for everyone, had 12 in our group. Back door was a little rough to open, but was glad due to that being the only barrier to the pool. Was very clean. Gabe was always available if needed.

Good experience

The owner, Gabriel was awesome. Anything we had questions about or wanted he was right on the phone calling us to help. The place is big and comfortable. Only bad thing is the sliding glass door. Very hard to close.

Is was a very clean place. The pool was a plus the kids really enjoyed it, I had a hard time with getting TV together once we figured it out it was perfect for movie nights. I will be going back. Gabriel was very accommodating.

The location was ideal as it was only a few minutes walk to the beach. The pool was perfect size and was a great place to relax and enjoy good company

3 bedrooms was enough to divide our families the pul out couch was a plus I recommend you bring your own fitted sheets like we did and pillows. Bathrooms were fine no problems there. Upstairs bedroom with bathroom has no closet beware but enough drawers on dresser. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils. Pool was great Felipe pool guy super friendly. Back door was our only issue it's super hard to open and close and the lock is literally a nail. Other than that it was great! Great location too we walked to the beach everyday. Wish he had some chairs or umbrellas for us to use but we bought some here.

Nice property. Only complaint is the rear sliding door is hard to close or open. But the house was nice and the pool great. Kids loved their stay.

Great location and owner response. Biggest complaint would be the place needs some up keep and maintenance. It worked for us but for the money, I’ve stayed in much nicer places.

It was an ok experience they charge so many different taxes already with VRBO then the owner charged us hotel charges with I believe were already included as lodging taxes on our total the dinning table was horrible beds are super hard not sure if I would stay again
