We stayed 3 nights because Wausau was an easy drive to visit 2 different friends and for my husband to go birding. The crowning glory of this rental is the absolutely gorgeous back yard with water feature and ample seating. It was like having our own, private park.

Amazing private teo car garage you can drive right in and not worry about the weather in the winter! Beautiful decor and backyard! Highly recommended! Believe It!

This is our second time staying with Fred while attending WSPA in Wausau. The property is exactly as stated, Fred even let us trailer a pool table up to set up in the garage for the weekend. Could not ask for a better property or host

We had a great night night in Wausau with friends thanks to Fred's great vrbo! There was plenty of room for each couple, a great seating area to hang out in and a crazy huge TV to watch a movie on. Fred is nice enough to be working on getting a sweatshirt sent back to me that I forgot that I had just bought in Costa Rica. Such a nice place and nice host!

This place was perfect for us. Although the bedrooms are not private, we made it work. The little fireplace was nice and kept my grandson warm. Beds were comfortable and it's a nice comfy place. Thanks Fred for your hospitality.

I don't like hotel rooms as they all look the same and don't have much room. This is a great options for a larger ski group to have a comfortable and cozy rest from a long day on the slopes. There is all the amenities to make your own meals and save on eating out! Thanks Fred!

Fred was great! The property was clean and comfortable. He answered all the questions we had and provided detailed notes on the property. It was a great homebase for a few days of golfing.

I stayed at this property with my two children (ages 8 and 2) and my brother. My brother and I grew up in central Wisconsin, but currently live in different cities. This property provided plenty of space for us to spread out and enjoy our privacy and personal space, as well as a comfortable and cozy space to be together and visit. The outdoor garden area welcomed a family of deer each morning and evening during our visit, which my daughters loved to see. The property was easy to find, and provided quick access to the greater Wausau area as well as an easy drive to Merrill. Fred was a great and responsive host. One thing I will point out is that while this property provides a large bathroom, it is a shower only and there is no bathtub. The shower is large, but I mention this only because of other families who may have children who would prefer a tub. This wasn't something I thought about when picking this property and it certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker in the future. That is, if we were to visit the area again, I would book this property again! I highly recommend this home away from home if you're traveling as a family.

This property has three beds, which is nice, in a basement suite. I was sorry the weather was not nice yet, as the backyard is very nice.

This little getaway spot was absolutely perfect for us. In a quiet neighborhood with quick access to downtown Wausau, and on a beautiful property. The best part was our host, Fred. We were only staying one night, and he was so gracious and flexible, letting us check in early and check out late. We are so appreciative of his hospitality, and hope to stay here again!

It's on the northeast side of Wausau, pretty close to Sylvan Hill. The shower was great, and the beds were comfortable. No stove, but there is a microwave and mini-fridge. The art decorating the apartment is lovely. We were in town to see family and enjoyed our stay.

This property was great for a ski weekend in Wausau. The check-in process was smooth, property was clean, and the location was great for getting over to the ski hill (10-15 minute drive). Fred was responsive and easy to work with - we will definitely be looking to stay here the next time we come back for a ski weekend!

Check in and out were very easy and we had the whole basement

It was the perfect location and set up for us! We did a triathlon at Nine Mile Recreational area and were able to come back and hang out together and then check out downtown dining! It was a wonderful weekend!!

Had a great stay. Easy check in and out and house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Garage parking and entrance was very nice. “Kitchen” area is limited - not a negative just FYI for planning.

Great backyard views! Too bad we weren’t able to see them in full bloom. Space is VERY clean with plenty of space. Private garage parking was great, especially arriving late at night! Fred made sure we were welcome. Very gracious host.

This private lower level of Fred’s home gave us plenty of space for both group activities and quiet times. The gardens are incredible and tranquil and we did not allow enough to enjoy them to the fullest.If I ever am in the area in the future, I would definitely stay here again.

Fred was very friendly and attentive, and the yard had a babbling brook and was beautifully landscaped. You are able as a renter to use his upper deck, which has a nice table with an umbrella and enough seating for a small group. It was very nice.

Really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds and tidy spaces.
