The accommodations were great!! The owner was soo nice!! It was just as advertised. Check in and out was very easy!! We will be back!! My wife and I celebrated our 50 th. Anniversary the week we stayed there and loved every day and hated to have to leave!! It was very clean!

This is a fantastic house with everything we needed and more. Exactly as advertised with extras that exceeded expectation. From the beach wagon and chairs provided, to the hammocks, kitchen appliances, and outdoor shower we were just thrilled to stay. Property manager is responsive and caring. As for the location, we had to walk and carry our toddler daughter to and from the sand many times a day depending on mood. ;) The distance to our tent on the sand was not an issue. Definitely recommend this vacation opportunity.

Our family loves SGI and visit often. We decided three weeks prior to plan a trip to try and find somewhere to stay at the last minute. I came across Chris’ property and to my surprise it was available. The location was prime with a very short walk to the beach. The closet was stocked with beach chairs and a wagon which made carting all of our stuff to the beach a breeze. We enjoyed our evenings on the screened porch and dinner in Apalachicola. The house was stocked with everything we needed. We had arrived in town a little earlier than the scheduled check in. I sent Chris a message and he was very quick to respond and we were able to check in early- a bonus after an 8 hour drive. Chris was a great host and this was a great house.

Chris' property was exactly what we were looking for. We really needed some "down time" and this location and property provided that. It was perfect for just my husband and I as many of the properties in the area are much larger. Would have been fine for a family of 4/5 as well as there were two bedrooms and bathrooms. We loved that it was a stand alone house and not connected to other units. Very quiet area. Short walk to the beach with a wagon, chairs, etc for use. The outside shower was a big plus. The open air deck with views of the water was perfect and the screened in porch with a table allowed us to cook our own meals and enjoy the view while eating. (The Piggly Wiggly just down the street is small but had everything we needed at reasonable prices.) We loved our visit to SGI would definitely stay here again!

Cute and clean home.

Very nice property with gulf views and just steps to the beach. Furnishings are simple, but work well in the house as it doesn’t feel cluttered. The kitchen was well equipped with plates, cups, cutlery, etc. - enough so that we only had to run the dishwasher twice the entire week. Beach chairs, toys and a cart are also available for use. The house is located less than a mile from shopping and is perfect for a couple or a small family (1 or 2 children). Owner was absolutely wonderful and really responsive! Chris gets a 10 for sure!!

This property was absolutely amazing! We had everything we could have asked for and more! Amazing beach necessities at our fingertips, 2 fun hammocks to relax in under the house, outside shower, and all the kitchen and bedding amenities you could ever need! This was my first stay at this property and it won’t be my last! Chris has excellent communication and was very helpful!

We had a wonderful stay at Chris's property. He was terrific at facilitating a very last-minute booking and communication was great with him. The house is charming, very comfortable and has everything you need for a beach vacation. It was nice, quiet location for my husband and me. It's a very short walk to perfect beaches, and just a few minutes' drive to several lively restaurants. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the porch/deck and had an incredible sunset one night. We loved relaxing in the recliners at night. I can highly recommend staying at this property and will look forward to returning.

Chris’s place was great! Clean and perfectly described. Loaded kitchen with updated appliances. Everything you need for a great stay on the island and super convenient to everything. Looking forward to returning!

My son and I loved staying at one fish two fish! It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. You have a view of the gulf from the back deck and it’s just a short walk to the beach! Chris was wonderful to deal and we definitely plan on coming back and staying here again!!

The hosts were amazing. They go above and beyond to provide a great experience for their guests. They provide a lot of things most hosts don’t. The house was nice. Best outdoor shower I’ve ever used. It really gets the sand off!

We were looking for a quiet and private getaway for our anniversary and we found it! Property was as advertised with no surprises. We even utilized the air mattress provided for doing some star gazing from the back deck! Looking forward to staying here again!

This was our second stay after discovering this great property last year. The house has everything you need, including a well stocked kitchen, unusual for most rental houses. We deem this the best getaway beach house for 4 adults or a family of 4 (you can squeeze in 2 more kids on an inflatable mattress provided by the host). The house location is also a convenient, less than a 5 minute easy walk to a wide, uncrowded naturally beautiful beach. And- yet there is still a lovely ocean view from the house’s screened porch (wonderful for dining) and open deck (spectacular for night star gazing). One Fish, Two Fish is easy to maintain during your stay. Simple, yet nicely decorated and comfortable- and just enough space. We also appreciate the private outdoor shower underneath the house, easy for beach rinse off or even ordinary bathing. The house is also conveniently located on the East End of the island. Not much traffic and more newer homes on this end. Just a couple minutes’ drive to the SGI village and our favorite restaurant, Paddy’s. Paved biking and walking path right outside the house. It’s also a 5-10 minute drive to the state park which has even more beautiful beaches, and a 15 minute drive to Apalachicola- a hidden, historic treasure filled with great restaurants and lovely gift shops( not junky). We originally rented One Fish Two Fish last year because SGI was the closest beach to Tallahassee where our daughter is in grad school. We had never been to SGI until then- but- we have become total SGI converts due to the lesser crowds and traffic, natural beauty, amazing sunsets, historical places of interest, and just pure relaxation. A welcomed retreat from the overcrowded, long restaurant lines, parking chaos, and hype/bling of 30-A beaches. Last, but not least- the owner is attentive and very responsive to quick communications.

This was our second stay at 1 Fish 2 Fish and it was just as great as the first. This house is perfectly stocked, very clean, and the host is great about communicating about your stay. I will absolutely be staying here again.

This house was perfect for us on our first trip to SGI without children or as a group. If you’re a couple looking for a great house at a great price don’t hesitate to book this home. Chris was a pleasure to rent from start to finish. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. House was clean and had everything we could need. The location is perfect as there are no houses directly next to you. The outdoor shower and hammocks were heaven and the screened in porch made for many enjoyable evenings of unwinding. Very nice property we would definitely rent this wonderful home again

This is a really great rental! Location, location, location! We have stayed at several different properties on SGI and by far, this was the best experience we’ve ever had. The house was impeccably clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything a cook could want: nice non-stick pots & pans, various cutlery, utensils, equipment (toaster, blender, crockpot) dish ware and even plastic dishes for a child. The beds were super comfy & there was a decent washer/dryer. I often feel like some of the rentals are a hodge-podge of Goodwill home items thrown together. Not this place; Very comfortable living area & a nice porch to gaze at the ocean from. The thoughtful owners even have a beach trailer, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys and a bike for their renters to use. The only thing that was missing was a full-length mirror (us ladies need to see how we look from head to toe). The owner, Chris, was very personable and his communications made everything so simple and carefree. Overall, we can’t wait to come back and stay here!

My wife and I stayed for a week at the end of June. The house is perfect for two or a small family. The house has an empty lot next to it, so it feels more private. It’s far enough from the main retail area that you don’t hear the noise, but still a short drive if you need to go there. It doesn’t take long to get to the state park, either. Inside is very homey and has a really great dining table. The master bed is firm but we like that so we slept well. The kitchen is well equipped and the fridge/freezer is spacious. The deck is fantastic and part of it is screened in. We would have used it more but it rained a lot during our stay. The downstairs shower is awesome! It’s like showering in a waterfall. The location on the island makes it a great place to stay if you want to take day trips to Apalachicola or surrounding beaches. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!
