Beautiful restored old foursquare home in the Historic Wright Avenue district of South Little Rock. Wonderful front porch! We really enjoyed spending time in this home. Nicely furnished, and the mattresses are very modern meaning, they are very tall, so be prepared that you may need a stepstool. The host was easy to get a hold of, pleasant and cooperative, prefers text to the Vrbo site, and so we did not get our check-in instructions until the day before.
Needed some back and forth to figure out where supplies were, and to get the TVs working properly. No recycling available.
A good visit to Little Rock.

Lots of room
Very pretty property carefully restored. Lots of room to spread out. No restaurants close by, so all driving, but not far. Owner very responsive. Great stay

Charming Historic Home/Newly Renovated
This is a great home for extended stays. Newly renovated but keeps the historic charm which makes this one a winner. Older neighborhood with a few run down properties nearby but never felt unsafe. Owner was quick to reply with any needs we had. Will definitely book again when in Little Rock.

In town for our son’s wedding
My husband & I wanted a quiet place where we could stay while in town for our son’s wedding. The home was perfect & beautiful in architecture. The owner had the lights on & the television on for us when we got there to welcome us. There was some confusion about the security code, but I think that was just miscommunication & a long drive in for us. The owner was very responsive & we appreciated that. The home was very clean & comfortable & we enjoyed sitting on the balcony & the porch & looking at all of the fall colors around. We would definitely stay here again. ❤️

Perfect for my needs
I traveled to Little Rock for a family funeral and needed a place to stay that accepted dogs, while allowing me space to also work while helping family. The house was very cute, with everything I needed. Especially with quick notice- since I booked around 48 hours in advance of my arrival.

Review
The house was great. However, the "maintenance" guys were on site every other day (so 6 of the 12 days we were there) and on one of the visits the guy basically walked in without asking if it was okay. We had the feeling of constantly being observed.

Cockroach Infestation
A recent stay (July 2- July 5, 2020) in this stately period property that has been meticulously restored and located in a historic neighborhood was ruined because of the constant presence of cockroaches in every living space.
We found them in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and common areas. When we advised the owner after we completed our stay, he said he was aware of a "pest" issue two days prior to our arrival and had the property professionally treated. In fact, his representative greeted us when we arrived and let us know there were "ants" inside. We saw no ants - either in the traps scattered throughout the house or in any area. We saw only cockroaches. He later said the pests were waterbugs - which frankly is another name for a cockroach. True waterbugs are aquatic insects that live in bodies of water. The owner indicated after our stay he would have relocated us - five adults and two dogs - to a hotel and paid for the accommodations if we had advised him of the issue when we were occupying the property. If we knew this was an option, we would have taken advantage of it. But since we had paid in advance and had a daily schedule to meet while visiting Little Rock, we didn't know this was an option.
We consistently killed and disposed of any cockroaches we saw on the property and meticulously stored any food and beverages and immediately cleaned all surfaces. However, this did not eradicate the issue. We shared video and photographic evidence with the owner - who discounted and dismissed our health and safety concerns about the cockroaches on his property. This response is unacceptable.
We've stayed at VRBO properties throughout the United States in the past and never had an issue with any property. Unfortunately, I don't know if we'll consider VRBO in the future.

Stepping Back in Time
We stayed in this wonderful old house for six weeks, and enjoyed every second of it. It's updated, yet keeps the features of the grand old house it used to be. My son and I, plus our little dog, were very comfortable there with lots of room and plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. I would chose this house if I had to stay in Little Rock again, in a heartbeat!

A Grand Old Lady
The house is such a lovely reminder of the past, it's just what you would expect in days gone by, with great renovations and updates, of course. The owner has kept the basics of the older home, but has put a lot of TLC into the place to make it new and fresh, along with the older, original touches remaining intact. I have truly enjoyed staying in this Grand Old Lady, and would recommend it highly to anyone who loves older homes; come and stay a while in an elegant golden home of the past.

Very quaint and charming property. Everything worked. It was comfortable and spacious.
The only negative is the location. Its not centrally located and the neighborhood isn't up to the same standards as the house.
The manager was polite and responsive.
We were there for a funeral and were able to hold a gathering at the house with plenty of room for nearly 20 people.
The house was FAR better than a hotel and was very competitively priced, especially for the amenities, space and comfort. I would stay there again any time.

We love this rental!! Location is great, house is perfect for our family. We stay in LR for 1 week every summer for an event downtown this was our second stay at this property. It’s lit your home away from home. See you next year!!

Just. Perfect.
Loved this place! It was peaceful and the home was absolutely beautiful! Showers were amazing, beds were perfect. Only feedback I have is the security system. I struggled with setting it because I have never had one. But overall this place is a 10/10!

Nice home- Just missing a few things
The home was appointed well and was very clean. You just need to be aware to bring a few things with you, which we somehow missed in the previous reviews. You need to bring your own bath soap or body wash, your own shampoo and conditioner and your own face cloths. We presumed they would be available but were not so it was a trip to Kroger that first night. Other than that, we all enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Home; amazing architectural details. Ben was a superb host
Beautiful house with amazing historical touches and a top to bottom interior renovation / modernization. Perfect place to explore Little Rock from an historical neighborhood, just blocks away from the Central High School National Historic Site. Ben was an ideal host; very attentive and responsive to every request

Wonderful charm in a revitalized neighborhood
We loved the entire space it felt like a home from the moment we walked in. The updates to the original home were very modern and fit well with the layout. I would recommend this home for a reunion or business trip.

Lovely house but....
The house was lovely, charming and had everything we needed for a weekend in Little Rock. It was convenient to get to places of interest and easy to find. All good at the stay. But be prepared to have your security deposit tied up for weeks after. We left the property on 10/14 and have been told I can't expect the deposit to be returned to my cc until 10/28. I feel this is a bit long for my $1,500 to be tied up. Next time I will look for properties which do not require such large deposits.

Beautiful house loaded with historic character, in excellent condition.
The location is in an area of the city that has seen better days, but appears to be headed back to those better days. There is quite a bit of renovation/gentrification going on. The location is pretty close to downtown and a very easy drive to the airport. It would be better if a nice grocery store was nearby. The house itself is beautiful, full of historical character, in excellent condition, and very comfortable throughout the house even on very hot days. Host is very responsive. I very much enjoyed staying there.

A great stay in a lovely American home
An enjoyable stay in a typical American home in a historical district in Little Rock, Arkansas, was just just what we were hoping for. Easy travelling into downtown and surrounding areas, Conway for my son's graduation at CBC. The house was the perfect size for the five of us. Good spacious rooms, tastefully decorated, three good size bath/shower rooms. A well equipped kitchen, laundry room, and large parking area. Comfortable furnishing, clean and tidy. Some areas could of been a little cleaner. A small problem we had was dealt with quickly after we contacted the owners. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Family holiday weekend with 6 adults
Close to bike trail, river market, and Clinton Presidential Center. House had necessary items for living and cooking. As so often happens in the residences we have rented there in not enough comfortable seating for number of bedrooms. Just a thought. Otherwise beds were comfortable and all was clean.

Great renovated home
The home was nicely decorated. The bedrooms are spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and we loved the grill on the back porch. The neighborhood and neighbors are quite. Short ride to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.
