We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Cabin. Dan and Barb are wonderful hosts. The cabin is uniquely decorated, clean and well equipped. We enjoyed watching movies on the couch, relaxing in the hot tub and sipping coffee on the front porch in the mornings. We primarily enjoyed hiking during the day and the cabin is fairly centrally located. We stocked up on groceries in Davis so we didn’t have to go out for breakfast or snacks. We look forward to staying again in the future.

What a beautiful house in a stunning location. The hosts were wonderful and made us feel so cozy. I can't think of a more romantic place to spend our wedding anniversary. I would love to return! One of the best places I have stayed in a very long time. I would love to see how beautiful it looks with snow on the ground.

When checking weather before our stay, the forecast called for rain everyday. It did rain much of the first few days, but forewarned is forearmed! We came ready to enjoy the peace and relaxation that this delightful little retreat has to offer. Later in the week, the weather was perfect for some hiking which we enjoyed on the last few days of our stay. We have explored this area before, but there is always more to discover. The hosts are just the best! We are so grateful for the opportunity to retreat, reconnect and recharge in such a beautiful spot! Thank you, Dan and Barb!!

This Sunset Cabin was amazing. It was very clean and had everything we needed and more! I loved the hot tub. The porch was perfect to sit on in the morning or at night and enjoy the mountain view. My daughter and I had a mother daughter trip and it was perfect! The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome😊 They gave us suggestions on where to go and all of the suggestions were amazing.

Our stay at Sunset Cabin was wonderful! Barbara and Dan were great hosts! The cabin was clean and quiet, everything we needed was already there. We loved sitting out on the covered porch and just taking in the views during the sunny days and the storms. My wife and I stayed for 4 days/3 nights at the Sunset Cabin owned by Barb and Dan...this is by far the nicest, cleanest, most peaceful home we have ever rented or stayed at. The location is breathtaking with mountains surrounding the property! Sunsets are living paintings you get to view as the Master Painter is working! Seriously, if you want to visit a place to get refreshed/renewed or just to get away...this is the place for you!
The house is beautiful, everything is clean and everything works! The surroundings are stunning with mountain views! The owners are the best! The home is fully furnished and we wanted for nothing!
This is our first visit to Dan and Barb's home and we certainly hope it is not our last!

Rustic looking cabin with a cozy interior containing all the amenities you would need? Check! Amazing views of the surrounding mountains and valleys? Check! Access to hiking trails and outdoor fun? Check! Owners that are friendly and take great care to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need? Double Check! If you need time to just unplug and relax, you need to visit Cherry Ridge and stay at this cabin

We loved our stay at Sunset Cabin!! It had all the amenities you could possibly imagine from the biggest things to the smallest detail! The hosts were amazing and very helpful! Checked with us to see if we needed anything and told us if there was anything we needed or wanted simple let them know during our stay! And the cabin itself and the views were absolutely perfect!! We are already planning our next stay!!

This was our third stay at Dan and Barb’s property and we look forward to our next visit already. Cozy, relaxing, peaceful and beautiful. Cabin is immaculate and perfectly equipped. The views are spectacular. Hot tub is an added bonus. Close to ski slopes, Blackwater Falls, downtown Davis. Plenty to do outside of the cabin, or just tuck in, unplug and enjoy the fireplace, hot tub and the peaceful surroundings.

We showed up in a snowstorm and they had the driveway shoveled and ready for us. The road was maintained adequately for 4x4 travel the entire stay. Everything in the cabin worked well and suited our needs. It snowed and blowed the entire time so we mostly just stayed in and laid around the fireplace like a couple of hogs. When we did decide to go drive around, the roads were fair most of the time. There wasn’t much to do except get sideways and eat fudge from the general store in Seneca Rocks. The views and countryside were beautiful with the snow everywhere. The cabin looks out over a hillside with several other cabins off in the distance. The property owners are in a cabin right across the street which is nice if you need anything. Highly recommend this cabin to stay in.

Took a couple days get away with my husband to relax. The cabin was perfect. Views were amazing. We loved relaxing by the fireplace and evenings in the hot tub. Hosts were wonderful as well. Brought us fresh eggs and checked if we needed anything from the store since its a 20 min drive out. So thoughtful. Will definitely wound love to come back.

The cabin is amazing. The views are amazing. It snowed while we were there and it was like a winter wonderland - I honestly don't think I've ever seen anything so beautiful! The cabin is so well appointed - Dan and Barb have truly gone above and beyond to make this cabin so comfy and cozy - little things so considerate that I've never seen before in a VRBO rental like tissues in every room, flashlights by the bed, night lights in the outlets, etc. We so enjoyed our stay at Sunset Cabin and hope to revisit again some day. Due to confusion with the owners, our stay ended up being at the Morning Glory cabin. This cabin is newer and beautiful. There was not much of a view which I was disappointed with. We did not utilize the hot tub but enjoyed having a fire in the fireplace. It is a great place to stay if you are hiking Red Creek in Dolly Sods, as the trailhead is very close. There is no cell signal which is nice to unplug. All in all it was a nice place.

The cabin had everything you could possibly need. A gorgeous mountain top setting, beautiful views, a warm fireplace and hot tub to use if you want after a day of strenuous hiking. The stars at night are in the millions. The hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. This was our third stay here and we are already planning next years visit.

This is our third time renting Sunset Cabin - it is gorgeous and so peaceful there. Dan and Barb are the best hosts and always make sure we have everything we need - even offering to pick items up at the store. We have already booked again for next year! Highly recommend!
