House was clean and as advertised. It served nicely for a week of motorcycle riding. The eating choices are a bit sparse in the area but the house had a restaurant right up the street and Davis was a 20 minute drive. That was a real plus!

Very nice modern house with an open floor plan and cathedral ceilings. Kicthen is well stocked with all the tools you'll need. Gas stove, toaster, coffee maker, microwave are all there as appliances. Nice deck with a well maintained hot tub. All linens, towels, paper towels, TP included. 1/4 mile from the main parking lot at Timberline. Check in/out was super easy at the Best of Canaan realty office about mile away. 2 things that would make this great get away even nicer - a fireplace and some privacy for the hot tub...neighbors are close by.

Stayed here for 6 nights with 4 friends on an annual guys trip. Was impressed by how clean the house was and how well everything was kept. Probably the best equipped kitchen we have seen. Bedrooms were all nice and large (especially upstairs) and beds were very comfortable. As others have mentioned, there is no AC upstairs but turning on the fans in the 2-story family room really circulates the air well. Hot tub was a very nice extra as was having use of the garage (those of us with nicer cars appreciated it greatly). Only thing we would have liked to see would be some extra towels for the bathrooms (we were provided just about one towel per person) and some extra paper towels for the kitchen as only one roll was provided. Other than that, we all agreed this may be the first place we visit twice! Surrounding area had a lot of things to do. Many beautiful, winding, well-maintained roads for bikers or sports car drivers. Davis and Thomas are hopping towns (from Thurs-Sun) with a number of shops and restaurants. Blackwater Falls was beautiful, as are some of the hiking trails right near the house. We also visited Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob, which are both within an hour of the house.

We spent the week in this beautiful cabin and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I checked to ensure it was air conditioned because we had a 4-year-old and a 4-month old that nappes in the heat of the day. The listing said AC, but it was only downstairs (2 bedrooms are upstairs). This resulted in the air being cold downstairs to try to cool the upstairs a little during the day. We also had to go buy fans for upstairs. At night it wasn't too bad with the windows and fans on, but it was still cold downstairs. Please list this so people will bring fans, and plan accordingly or purchase fans for bedrooms and baths upstairs. Additionally, the electricity went off the first evening we were there for a few hours. There were no flashlights or candles anywhere in the cabin and no place in the area had them to purchase. When I checked with the management company, they had no suggestions. She said, " it was dark at her house too." I understand that is out of her control, but I bet she had flashlights, candles or something. We had small children, so they were a little scared. Luckily, it was time for bed so we used our phones to get them ready for bed and it came back on before morning. I think the management company should have a plan for such instances or there should be flashlights and batteries in the cabin, at the very least. Otherwise, we loved this cabin and the area. I would stay here again, but I would bring my own flashlights and fans, knowing what I know now.

Came here for spring break with family and friends. Location is central to a lot of amazing hiking trails, mountain biking, and rock climbing. The price of this place can’t be beat.

The garage and foyer areas gave plenty of space to drop shoes and stow gear so the snow stayed outside and not on the living space floors. The hot tub was a treat at the end of each day. All furniture was clean and comfy. Laundry and kitchen were spacious and well equipped. I have no complaints at all! The walk from front door to Timberline lift took about 5 minutes for an adult and the drive to Canaan was maybe 10 minutes. Loved it and want to go back today (if not for that pesky need to work for a living...)

We enjoyed the property so close to the slopes. Rooms were good size and perfect for our family of 5. Nice to have two large rooms upstairs. It was cold outside 17 and we were warm. Jacuzzi was awesome and couches a plus. Will consider again. Thank you.

The house was immaculate, spacious, and had a well equipped kitchen. It has very easy access which is important during winter. The hot tub and fire ring were in much use and enjoyed by all. We enjoyed our stay at Rockwall. The kitchen was well equipped and the table was big enough to seat 8, if they had another chair. There is bar seating so there is enough room for people to eat. The living has new with very comfortable furniture. The bedrooms were decorated very nicely. Lots of towels and wonderful laundry room. I liked the front hall too. The gas barbecue on the back deck was outstanding. Now let us talk about the air conditioning. Downstairs was cool and very comfortable. One might say too cool, but the upstairs bedrooms were not. We were there on a very hot week in August and upstairs was not cool at all. Another time of the year, this might not have been a problem. Also the bathroom are from the 1980s. They were clean and worked fine but I hope they get updated too. Will we rent Rock Wall again? YES

It's a beautiful setting with a secure dry place for our motorcycles. The house is comfortable, spacious, well-appointed, and well equipped. We love the hours we spend in the hot tub each evening. All of us have the last name of Davis, so it's another good reason to come to Davis, West Virgina. The roads are well maintained. It's only a 2 hour drive to the Skyline Dr and the Shenandoah Valley. The shops, restaurants, and breweries in Davis are fantastic.

I will say that Loraine with the management company was rude on two occasions. Once during the booking phase, and the second time when we requested a late checkout the final day before departing.

We called ahead of time and requested the late checkout to have Loraine call with an attitude informing us we were supposed to be already checked out and that housekeeping was waiting on us to leave. We informed her that we had called ahead of time and her office staff had approved our late checkout. They clearly have communication issues within their office. The other staff we spoke to were professional and respectful, but Loraine was rude and it will make us question staying again if we have to deal with her...

If you are looking for it, there is no fireplace inside. They do have a fire pit outside with plenty of wood in the garage. Now, the bad. The internet is abysmal. If you need to get work done, forget it. We couldn't stream one movie, so pack some DVDs. Small price to pay for a location like this though.

Although, I wish I had booked a house that was a little further back away from the traffic of Timberline Rd. However, that didn't deter from our relaxing stay. We did have an issue with the sink and dishwasher near the end of our stay. It started to leak on the kitchen floor. Otherwise, besides those couple of issues we really enjoyed the hot tub, grill, fire pit and the amount of space we had.
