We had a great trip to Night Sky! Owner communication was great and information provided was incredibly helpful! Our group ranged from kids at 7 years old to older adults at 72. The house accommodated us all with our 2 pups and 2 boats! The stairs down to the boat dock were a little difficult for the older adults, but that was to be expected and they managed just fine resting along the way. We had 3 large trucks as we towed boats down, which we found a little difficult to park, but there was overflow parking available and separate parking for the boat trailers. Boats and trailers cannot be towed back to the house, so it was nice for the trailers to be accommodated. The outside porch and yard could use a little scrub, but we managed just fine wiping things down. The only negative experience we had was not with the house, but with the Lakeside Estates boat ramp. Could have been us northern midwesterners not expecting how steep the ramp would be, but we struggled putting the boat in and out. We were successful but surprised by the difficulty we had. However, once we were in, it was nice that the house was so close! Overall, we had a great trip and would book again!!

We had a great time at the property. The house had lots of room so groups could easily split up and do their own thing if they wanted. The property was as described. The boat launch was close and convenient as was the store if you needed to run out for a few things ( we stay at Norris every year and this house was the closest to town while still giving you a secluded feeling) thanks to the owner for your hospitality. We will definitely stay again

This house is amazing the views and lake access are perfect. There is plenty of room for big groups and the kitchen is well equipped. Would definitely stay here again. We loved every moment of our stay. Thanks again for an awesome vacation!!!

This place offers a wonderful dock, good location on the lake and an excellent home. We really enjoyed ourselves.

great location on the lake overall very high ratings in the accommodations especially as this rental allows dogs; nothing overly fancy but very functional ---the docks and slips were excellent

My large extended family had a blast while staying here. The house is located right on the river connected to Lake Norris. We kept a boat and several kayaks at the dock. There was a rope swing across the river and the jumping bridge and marina a short kayak paddle away. The house met all our basic needs. There isn't room for yard games as the front is all parking and the back is a slope to the dock. Plenty of fun activities nearby though.

Nice location with good water access. We checked in and immediately noticed bat droppings in the great room. We messaged the owner and he said that’s how it is in a lake house surrounded by woods. He was going to have someone come take care of it/ never did. We could hear the bat squeaking all week. We also had a toilet leaking upstairs all week. Hehada plumber attempt to fix it several times without success. If you enjoy wildlife in your home and mopping toilet water…THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was perfect for our 3 family group with plenty of sleeping space for all. The location is awesome! Close to the jumping bridge, no wake zone, and close to Sugar Hollow for boat gas, supplies, live music, and libations. We would stay there again, no question.

We had an amazing time. We are from Michigan and traveled for spring break. The location and home are wonderful. I would love to come back again. We had 13 people ranging from 3 to 83 and everyone had plenty of fun. The only issue I had is we really wanted to rent a pontoon boat for the week and unfortunately even though to us Michigan folks it's warm here it was to early in the season for anyone that we could find to have a boat ready. This was nothing to do with the home but may be helpful info for anyone else looking at coming around this time.

We were very happy with the location and our ability to bring the dogs. It was a great place to spend the week with our family. Upon arrival there was a little hiccup with the entry code, but Jon was great and responded so quickly to get us the code. The location was wonderful and it was so nice to be in a gated community. The dock provided many nice chances to fish and enjoy outside - just be prepared for lots of steps (not a surprise based on the pictures). There was plenty of space for us (4 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs). There were beds a plenty to choose from, but I could see that the house overall might be a little crowded if they were all full. But probably great if you are planning to spend all day on the boat and basically only sleeping there - which we were not doing. The house could use a little refreshing - the carpets were well loved, the dishwasher is loud, the dryer sometimes took two rounds to dry, and some basic decor updates. None of this impeded our fun. We had a great time and it was a great house for our spring break getaway.

The cabbing was perfect for us for ur family, we were 18 people’s all the space we need, the neighbors is quiet. The rooms was clean. We just love the house. The view of the house is gorgeous. We are definitely staying there again.

Met my family for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time! Would definitely go back again. Plenty of room and very well furnished.

It was a great home for our group. Plenty of room inside and outside. The only concern was the lack of any kitchen condiments, including salt. So we had to make an extra run just to get a few bare essentials. Towels, toilet paper and soap were also at a very minimum especially for a house of this size and 12+ people staying. So yet another trip needed into town for hand soap, dish soap, and TP.

my family had a great time. Unit provided everything we needed for a great vacation. I'm 61 steps to dock were shorter than other units we have stayed at. I did them 2 to 3 times a day. Great area to kayak n fish.

This was a cool place, in an area where there are lots of rentals. The house was clean enough- not great. There were 94 steps from the house to the dock- FYI only. I was there with my parents who were older, so they struggled with them. We had small kids 4 & 1 and we were just fine. Overall nice place, not the top, but certainly not the bottom. We would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Night Sky. The location is great on the lake. The property the house is on is very unkept. Weeds growing through the steps. Trash all over the outside and mildew all over outside The house itself is well equipped and comfortable

We had 15 people, 2 boats & a jet ski, and there was plenty of room for everyone. Home had everything you may need, but I would suggest bringing additional towels, TP and hand soap (which was disclosed to us prior by owner). Steps to the dock were manageable, there were several breaks along the climb including a bench to rest. Everyone had a wonderful time and the covered dock had enough room for all our watercraft and is a great place to fish, or just hang out. Decks and fire pit were a bonus! We would def stay here again. Thanks to owner for the great directions to the boat ramp and the house.

We had a great time! The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The view was extremely stunning and once we checked in we almost never left the property. John, was a superb host. He gave us clear instructions for getting to the location, and was always so helpful whenever I had questions. Tips: Bring extra paper towels and toilet paper and extra throw blankets. We thought there were plenty of towels. I absolutely recommend to stay there!

Property was wonderful. Needs a little detail cleaning, and updated mattresses but otherwise great. Kitchen has awesome cookware and plenty of dishes and utensils.

We enjoyed our time at Night Sky for our wedding with our family members. The view of the lake is beautiful. We had all the amenities we needed for the week. The house perfectly fit both sides of our immediate family.

One of the vacations we ever had. Having a lake next to the cabin was amazing. Will would definitely recommend staying here. Very secluded so if you want the city life its not for you. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you for a wonderful 7 days. Bill

The house is in serious need of upgrades. The bed are horrible! Mattress are extremely uncomfortable and the bed frames squeak with each movement. The air conditioning in some of the rooms is so loud you feel like you are on a plane. The house need a good dusting and windows cleaned. The was a layer of dust on all. Spider webs on lights and windows covered in them! Also having to make your beds? Never heard of this. You want to go to bed at the end of the day not make them. Also more towels need to be provided. We had like 4 or 5 for a large family. green mold on deck and stairs making it slippery when wet. It could be a beautiful house just needs better care

The house, amenities and location are perfect! We had two families and had plenty of room! The covered dock was great for our boats and we loved being close to the jumping bridge! The deck close to the water was great for an evening of hotdogs and smores!

I took my family down there with my in-laws who are in her 80s. We had a very good time. It is a smaller Cove we kayaked a lot. Went out on the main Lake in the boat just short run out there there are two marinas close by. The house is a little dated but the price was Fair. We had no problems with the house whatsoever the walk down to the lake after a number of trips to Norris was substantially shorter than other places I've stayed at. John provided all the information needed to get in and out of the facility with no problems

House was not clean when we arrived. Clumps of dust in the corners and cat/dog hair on couch and on kitchen towels. Deck near boat dock was full of bird droppings The house was very functional and contained all items needed for our family. Great location . We had a good time.

We had good time, but the heater doesn’t work good. It was very cold in the basement, and the room they have with 2 twins bed upstairs, it is very small, we can not count like a room. The house is good .

This house has some nice amenities that our group enjoyed (projector TV, arcade game, hot tub, dock). We had 11 adults and 9 children and fit comfortably with one family/couple per room. A couple additional things to bring that weren't on the list: hand soap (none in any of the bathrooms), bath mats or extra towels to use as bath mats, ice or cube trays (the upstairs freezer ice maker doesn't work), extra hand towels for washing/drying dishes, forks (there are plenty of plates, dozens, only a dozen or so forks though so we just let the kids eat first then washed them all so the adults would have enough). I'd also recommend not choosing this location if you have a severe bee allergy, it may have been the unseasonably warm weather but there were a lot of red wasps on the stairs going down to the lake and a nest on the upper deck. We just told the kids not to go out onto the upper deck as red wasps do get aggressive. Might be worth bringing wasp/hornet killer just in case. Not sure how often the trash gets picked up but the cans were nearly full and the previous renters weren't very clean at all and had dumped a lot of loose trash in so there were a lot of bees and flies (they had also left a bunch of cardboard by the fire pit, we tried to use some of it). Double check the gate code before you arrive, the one we were given was apparently pretty old and there's no cell service at the gate but fortunately someone else was leaving and gave us the new one. Finally, be careful leaving, after acting strangely when I was leaving (it acted like it was going to close on our car but bounced back), the gate closed on one of our friends vehicles and tore down the side of their truck, not an ideal ending to an otherwise fun weekend.

Beautiful home in a serene, slow-wake "cove" just beyond the "jumping bridge" up Cedar Creek. Lakeside Estates is a wonderful area - so convenient to Sugar Hollow Marina as well as Shanghai Marina and Deerfield Resort. Night Sky is kept up very nice, and we have stayed here multiple times. I would strongly recommend anybody to stay here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Night Sky and I would not hesitate to recommend this property to prospective renters!
