This is our favorite place to stay in Dewey and we have returned several times. We appreciate that host Chris lets us bring our dogs and kids, and the location can’t be beat! 30 steps from the beach and half a block to all the Dewey restaurants, coffee, mini golf, and bars. It is a traditional old school, beachy, pet friendly and kid friendly cottage. Yes, there’s a little sand. Yes, there’s a little pet fur, and yes there are sometimes ants that show up mid-stay if you use the kitchen— it’s the beach and it’s par for the course! We appreciate the amenities/accessories provided by the host and left by previous guests for kids and pets, and we always make sure to leave behind an extra tennis ball or boogie board for the next family. Can’t wait to return - See you again soon ! :)

As just like the last time we stayed here, it was a great time. The place is always clean, and in good condition. Check in is super easy. We absolutely love it. We'll be back!

Cute place that accommodated all of our needs. Close to the beach and owner is very responsive. Perfect for a family of four.

We booked this rental as a quick family getaway for our family of 4 and small dog. The location was perfect—close to the beach—and the overall cleanliness and cuteness of the cottage was perfect. The beds were comfortable and it was well stocked with dishes and various accessories. We enjoyed sitting on the porch at night and having our coffee there in the mornings. My only suggestion would be that the bathroom could use a little work. The whole bathroom could use a good scrubbing. The shower could use some re-caulking & the toilet had a slight constant odor (my guess is coming from the sewer?), so maybe a toilet bowl deodorizer would help. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would consider a return visit!!

House was perfect and had fun!

I stayed Memorial Day Weekend w/ spouse and a friend; we brought our dogs. Pros: Cottage was literally steps from beach entrance, which made it great for morning and evening beach walks with dogs. The cottage main area was very cute. The kitchen was larger than in some other cottages and was appointed ok with appliances and kitchen necessities. Bedrooms were as pictured and the beds were comfortable. The screened in porch and the front patio areas were great outdoor areas for hanging out, eating dinner or playing games. Patio area was fully fenced in, which made it easy to let the dogs roam without having to be on leash. Cons: The bathroom shower has mold under all the silicone caulking; I made attempts to clean it myself but it wouldn't come up. It made the bathroom feel dirty. The air vent was falling out of ceiling. This area could use a little sprucing up for sure. It was Memorial Day weekend and Dewey Beach was very busy--mostly young 20 somethings who are there for the party atmosphere. There are many other cottages on this block that are very, very close to each other--mere feet. Felt like at some point in time they were all part of one larger motel/cottage community. You could hear conversations and music from all the neighboring cottages. This made for loud afternoons and early evenings and louder late night party noise with people coming and going into the wee hours of the morning. Overall, nice place and would recommend.

Great cottage. Loved screened in porch and fenced in patio. It truly is steps to beach and also to dining establishments. Only problem was that every rug would slide. Entrance mat, bathroom mats, kitchen and living room rugs. Would be great to get nonslip rugs or nonslip pads for under the rugs. Thanks so much for allowing me access to your terrific cottage!
