Benvenuti nello Chateau Royale! Un edificio completamente rinnovato nel cuore del centro che si affaccia sul Bayou Teche. Il castello di Bayou si trova accanto allo Chateau Royale. Dovevamo guardare questo edificio vuoto che costruiva ogni giorno. Il nostro obiettivo era quello di acquistare e trasformare questo spazio in un elegante noleggio per il nostro ospite. Questo edificio è stato utilizzato come azienda di stampa, ufficio dentista e laboratorio dentale, studio di registrazione e pratica, poi è diventato vacante e non è stato mantenuto per anni fino a quando non siamo arrivati. Questa proprietà si affaccia sul Bayou Teche e si trova accanto a Bouligny Plaza, sede del Gumbo Cook-off annuale del Campionato Mondiale e del festival annuale della canna da zucchero. My partner and I came by train from Los Angeles. Meanwhile my son and his familydrove from Atlanta. We met there in New Iberia where my son grew up.
The location was ideal, the lodgings delightful, and Mickey was a most attentive host. My son was allowed to bring his dog, a 14 year old mix breed and that relieved a lot of stress for the family. We were also delighted with the neighborhood cat who hung out with us. All in all we struck a good balance of visiting old friends, walking along the bayou and Main Street and just relaxing.

We absolutley loved the Chateau Royale! We woke up one morning at 6 am while a thunderstorm was moving thru and we got to sit on the wonderful porch and watch it move thru on the bayou. The owners are amazing! The place is clean and comfortable. Mickey and Tiffany gave us great info on the town. You HAVE to go to Victors! Its amazing food and people there. Also if your there on the weekend the farmers market!! We LOVED this place and will be back!

Our family of 5 (two 17 year olds, myself and my husband, and my mother) spent four nights here for our spring break. We could not have been happier with Chateau Royale!!
Location: it was awesome to be able to walk to downtown shops and restaurants but being a block off of the main street, it was quiet. We loved sitting on the back deck and watching the Bayou. My husband fished and our kids kayaked in the bayou. We also enjoyed being centrally located between areas that we wanted to visit like Avery Island, St Martinville, Lafayette, etc.
Amenities: the rental had everything we needed! They have thought of everything. Having kayaks to use was a great bonus!
Hosts: Mickey and Tiffany were fantastic to answer any questions we had and made great restaurant recommendations! And I love the attention to detail that they have put into the Chateau. We could tell they have taken great care to make it a wonderful place to stay.
We would not hesitate to recommend Chateau Royale to anyone planning to visit New Iberia or the surrounding areas and we hope to return sometime soon!!

This is a cool and unique place to stay downtown and overlooking Bayou Teche. Walk to restaurants, cook or grill there, and enjoy the large back deck and waterside fire pit. Breakfast at Victor’s was delicious perfectly southern and the chargrilled oysters and sushi from Bojangles was just steps away. We were there 2 weeks with kayaks. Lots of great paddling along the Teche and at Lake Fausse Point. Enjoyed nearby Avery Island and also Rip Van Winkle Gardens. The folks in downtown New Iberia are very welcoming to visitors. Take in the farmers market if you can. This is the 2nd trip to New Iberia- looking forward to another one. Mickey and Tiffany are very gracious hosts and have many great recommendations to share.

Second time for a visit. Love the location, the eclectic decor and all the amenities. Great outside deck to sit and watch the bayou float by, walk to restaurants, shops and bars but yet quiet at night. Soft linens, great living area and kitchen, would not stay anywhere else in the bayou country, a true taste of Louisiana.

I absolutely loved this lil place. The decor was adorable and I might’ve taken some pics of the interior for future reference in my new house. The location is great. The owners were very sweet and worked with us on needing an extra day. They own the lil place next to it as well and it’s so cute!! I highly recommend staying here.

We are pretty picky when it comes to accommodations and this place exceeded all of our “requirements”. Location, space, comfort, Internet, view of the Bayou, proximity to everything, friendly hosts, and the list goes on. All details were covered – it almost felt like we were home. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are spacious and well-appointed, kitchen has everything you need, and parking is convenient. We got really lucky finding this place when we decided at the last minute to visit new Iberia. We will come back again very soon

Chateau Royale is truly unique given the history of the property and located looking out on the Bayou Teche. The Chateau's back porch is one of the highlights of the accomodation and offers a relaxing escape to enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine (or 2!). The Chateau itself is decorated in an ecclectic, jazzy, shabby chic kind of style and was very comfortable throughout. Mickey and Tiffany thought of everything that a family could need or want; we lacked nothing! Mickey outdid himself by being so attentive and hospitable and we are very much hoping to return post-haste to Chateau Royale and New Iberia. Our trip was exceptional and one that will live in our hearts forever! Thank you!

Utterly Charming
We love this property. My husband and I stayed at Chateau Royale for the weekend with our two teen daughters and their friend. The house is beautifully appointed. Mickey and Tiffany have everything you might possibly need available to use - even extra toothbrushes! The deck overlooking the Bayou was a wonderful way to start the day with a cup of coffee and finish the day with a glass of wine. Beds were very comfortable and the girls enjoyed the loft. We liked the proximity to shops and restaurants in New Iberia and we walked to St. Peters for early mass on Sunday. On a final note, Mickey and Tiffany are very accessible and will be very helpful with questions you might have or suggestions for activities. We will be back!

We have stayed at this location one time before and had to cancel due to Covid. We were so excited to come back and bring our family. The unit is so charming and pretty. Truly stocked with everything you could need. The beds are comfy. There is a super cute loft for kids to sleep and hang out. The deck out back over the bayou is beautiful. There is a large table out there to have dinner at and comfy furniture.
We all totally relaxed and enjoyed ourselves and the unique things there are to see in the area. Mickey is easy to reach and a very friendly guy. We look forward to returning!

Avery also has a La state notebook due this year in her class so we were able to visit the Avery Island experience which was awesome & get a some great pics . We ate at Preservation Restaurant on our stay and the food / service was fantastic . We even got a pic with the Chef for her School project . The weekend could not have been any better. We were very impressed with Chateau Royal . It was everything we would expect South Louisiana to be ! ❤️

Our weekend getaway surprised us with a New Orleans feel in decor, architecture , and busy street. So many places to take out food in walking distance. Lovely walk around town with shops and historical sites to see. Great weekend get away.

This was the perfect location! It is within walking distance to my favorite restaurants. So it was perfect to have a little wine and cheese tasting at this house before dinner. The kitchen was perfect for entertaining, and back porch overlooking the bayou was fantastic. We were able to walk to the restaurant for dinner, and walked back after.
It’s located right off of Main Street. They always are having events in the Plaza within walking distance! We got to enjoy an arts and crafts show on the Saturday before check out!
