It was everything and more that was advertised. It was a beautiful cabin and super clean. I will definitely be back!! I had an amazing 30th wedding anniversary 4 days.

The property is exactly like listing , this house has everything for a stay..kids enjoyed all the board games, hot water tub etc.. this place is also located close to groceries, restaurants, shopping, gas etc. It was easy to drive to the place with well paved roads.. will definitely come back ..

This cabin is indeed a wonderful home to visit if you are interested in an amazing view, privacy and peaceful surroundings. The cabin is equipped with everything, just visit the local grocery store and you're set.
Easy to book and reserve, great communication with property management, we will definitely come back to this special property.

The double master with stand up shower or full size tub is the perfect setup for a couple with a child. Also, the fully stocked kitchen with large countertops makes for easy meal prep and cooking. Plus, there's plenty of takeout spots within a reasonable driving distance which is great.
All the major attractions are also super close (Cherokee, Cataloochee, Blue Ridge Parkway, etc...).
One negative, the cleaning crew showed up 20 minutes early, parked in the small driveway, and watched us leave. It made the already stressful departure uncomfortable and felt pretty rude.
Nevertheless, I'd rent this house again and love every minute of it. Don't hesitate and rent this place.

The location and proximity to town is ideal. The paved road all the way to the cabin makes for an easy, easy ride. It wouldn’t be too pleasant to try to get a 2nd vehicle in the parking area since the driveway is very steep and there’s not much room to park. That didn’t affect us at all since we had only one car. The cabin itself is very nice, clean, well organized and nicely furnished w/o too much ‘bear and moose’ stuff. It’s obvious that the owner’s of the cabin care about providing a first-rate experience. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was a pleasure preparing meals and eating at the counter adjoining the kitchen...very handy.I would recommend this property to anybody...it’s just delightful, so much so that I have already booked two additional weeks a few months from our wonderful visit in May ‘24. As always, the rental agency folks are a delight to work with; very responsive, kindhearted, and so helpful in every way. It’s only about 20 minutes up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 10 minutes in to town and another 10 in to Waynesville. I give this place a 10 and out of 10! Can’t wait to come back later on in the year, and next year, and the next! I’m very grateful for the opportunity to enjoy this fine mountain home in such a beautiful, private neighborhood.

The reviews are accurate. Every picture is a perfect representation of this Sweet Retreat cabin. It is accurate named and possibly the sweetest retreat we’ve had to date on our annual Smokey Mountain trip. The view is breathtaking and the best part of every morning. Nothing short of absolute relaxation.
The cabin is cozy and comfortable with just enough space for a workout every morning. 10/10 and we will be saving this property to rent again.

We enjoyed a relaxing four days and nights at Sweet Retreat. Not only was the home beautiful both inside and out, but also extremely clean and well appointed with supplies. Being from the deep south, we especially enjoyed the moderate temperatures we experinced while there. When at the cabin, we spent most of our time on the deck and particularly enjoyed watching the sunrises each mornings and sunset in the evenings.
We hope to have the opportunity to stay at Sweet Retreat again!

As all other reviews have accurately stated, the appointments in this cabin are top notch. It's simply a beautiful cabin.
If peace, quiet, and a lovely serene view are what you're after, then this is your spot.
Yes, the drive up is a touch challenging, and would not want to do it in the winter. But after the first time or two up, it was not a big deal.
The only minor criticisms we had were as follows.
1 - Inconsistencies regarding the WiFi password (between the Premier paperwork, welcome book in the home, and the label on the router, there were 3 different passwords given). The router label was the correct one. No biggie, just a bit of frustrating inconvenience was all.
2 - A couple calls to Premier went unanswered, with one return call not occurring until the next day. Just glad they weren't emergencies.
This last comment is strictly for Premier. Was a bit surprised that after-hours check-in is to merely grab an envelope from an unlocked box. Suggest some type of code-changing electronic lock be used. If I was a homeowner in their system, I would be a bit concerned with that lack of security.

Stay was excellent. Canine was clean, views were outstanding. It had all the necessary utensils and appliances including a wonderful barbecue station.
Only issue with whole stay was disposal of garbage that needs to be hauled to a dump. With cleaning fees charged, property managers should be able to arrange garbage disposal by cleaning crew.

The place is fairly new and clean. The view is nice through the trees. It is up a little bit on the side of the mountain. We slept in the bed room on the left which has the larger TV and walk in shower. The kitchen has good supplies to cook with and a dish washer and large fridge. The water pressure is good and get's nice and hot. The grill is basic but will do the trick. The right side burner had to be lit with a lighter, there is no grease catch and the wheel/leg is damaged. I read in the guest notes about a black bear near the grill, not sure if the bear had anything to do with it. The hot tub was relaxing with a nice view on the deck. Washer and dryer work great. Not a deal breaker, however it is a little disappointing to rent any place and not have certain necessities ie.. toilet paper. Most places I have rented have everything needed and even have some nice welcome gifts, snacks, waters, coffee, tea etc..
The driveway is steep with gravel and whomever stayed before us had made some ruts. It is someone challenging with a low vehicle ie, Polaris Slingshot / Motorcycle. Someone who came by to trim the yard was able to fix the ruts in the driveway. If you start to spin and get dug in you might be in trouble.
Overall a good experience and would stay again.

Two king bedrooms on opposite sides of the cabin...Fully stocked kitchen! Sweet Retreat was indeed everything we expected and then some. A lovely cabin for my wife and I to relax and reconnect after 20 years... Our 20 year old daughter who is in college at USF decided to skip our family vacation for the first time! :-) But we hardly noticed while we spent time in the Hot Tub while -7 degrees outside, and enjoying the wonderful view of the mountains. The special touches of Christmas that the owner did was so fantastic, and it just made everything so much more than just a rental, thank you for sharing your home, and your love of the mountains with us!

We loved this cabin. It’s very well decorated and supplied. Beds and pillows and couch are extremely comfortable and high quality. We were thankful the owners shared their cabin with us and didn’t switch everything out for the normal low quality rental items. View is great. Road to cabin is steep but paved so not bad and worth it for the view. Hot tub was awesome. No issues with internet at all but we had perfect weather. We would love to return and I hope it’s exactly the same when we do. The only improvement would be a bigger water heater, didn’t seem to quite last the whole shower, but at least you had a hot tub and the fireplace is great as well.

Sweet Place
A lovely, well appointed property. Tucked away high up on a mountainside. We found this to be a cozy retreat to be isolated in natural surroundings while being very close to the places we wanted to hike and ride our road bikes. Hope to be going back again next year.

Melissa at premier Vacation Rentals was wonderful to work with and personally selected our location based on our desires. We had certral air/heat, fully furnished kitchen, fireplace, barbeque and fully furnished in every way. It was our home away from home. Can't wait to do it all again next summer. Loved it!!! Sweet Retreat was the most perfect home away from home for our inaugural family girls' trip! Ages ranged from 73 to 7 and the cabin was ideal for everyone. Sweet Retreat was very clean (even the 70 year-old said so and her standards are VERY high), the kitchen well-stocked, furnishings were comfy, Wi-Fi and cable was reliable, hot tub was used often (the 7 year-old's favorite part), weather was perfection, and the relaxation was exactly what we all needed!
During our stay we visited Biltmore Estates on a day trip (approximately 45 minutes away), marveled at Soco Falls (about 15 minutes away), traveled to Waynesville where we walked downtown and ate at Ian and JoJo's pizzeria (delicious!) then returned to Maggie Valley for ice cream (Blue Bell is served, not homemade, but still hit the spot!)
We loved our stay at Sweet Retreat and would highly recommend to others. The only *minor* surprises we encountered were a cabin next door (but it did not cause any issue for us) and the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms was not working. Do not hesitate in booking this property if you are considering it, because you will not be disappointed!

This was the nicest property that I have stayed in with Vrbo. Great location, very clean and well provisioned. It felt like home was very comfortable and beautifully decorated and designed. Close to shopping and dining. Super place!!! I would come and stay again.
