We enjoyed our visit at Kajun Kove. The access to the lake is one of the best features of this rental.

Kajun Kove was absolutely beautiful! The home was spacious and well stocked. The area was peaceful and an all around great HQ for our vacation. The listing is accurate, so if it looks good to you, I would highly recommend it!!

Pros: Scenic wooded property. Coffee pot worked. Beds didn’t give anyone back pain. Nice fire pit area. Nice pool table and card table. Washer and dryer worked well. Had a variety of spices in the cabinet. There was hand soap and dish soap. Cons: Property wasn’t clean upon our arrival. The flat top had spaghetti sauce from previous guests. The kitchen floor had food crumbs and a dead beetle. There were dirty utensils in the container on the counter. The pans were so worn that we had to cook extra eggs every morning to account for how much would stick to the pans. The sheets didn’t stay on the bed and were really thin and worn. The hot tub smelled like moldy water. I had to clean out the gas grill because there was so much build up it was a giant fire. We had to drive into town to buy something to start the fire pit with. The table in the screen porch was covered in cigarette ashes. There wasn’t an ice maker, just ice cube trays. Couch was worn and sagging. For the price, the house should have better furnishings. The bed sheets in the bedroom downstairs were truly worn and tattered, so hard to fall asleep. We won’t be returning!!

We always take a trip to a lake with the entire family every year. This place is perfect! The owner was great to work with. The description was accurate. This home exceeded all our expectations. Location is perfect and the views are spectacular. We will be back.

Overall the stay was nice except at time of checking in it wasn't cleaned for our arrival. The deck and garage room needs some major repairs, couple of the kids got board size splinters in there feet and the bathrooms were leaking water in the garage. The hill was a bit much for the elderly but managed. Nice having own dock to use and to swim off of. House was spacious and plenty of room for everyone. Upkeep needs done but overall I would recommend for younger group, had lots of fun.

This was our second time to Kajun Kove and it was a great trip once again. The driveway can be a little rough, but it’s going to be rough anywhere in the mountains!

Had three adult children with spouses and six grandchildren, 6 months to 10 years old, join us after a backpack / camping trip for a few days on the lake. The property was as described online and in the reviews. The place was perfect for us with several spaces for all ages to find something to keep busy. The screened porch and dock were the two favorites! While the set up is wonderful, there were a few things that need some TLC as described in prior reviews. Nothing that would keep us from returning. We all decided this could be a place to return to for another family outing.

We absolutely loved this place! Quiet cove, and the weather was perfect for us. If the kitchen just had a double sink that would really help but overall we loved it and would definitely rent it again.

The only problem was the snow and we did not have anything planned for the power outage and we spent Christmas night without electricity for about 4 hours

This property is a nice place to stay with all your family in one place. Good location, on lake, fire pit ( bring your own wood. Grill ( they do not guarantee the tank to be filled) We didn't have any complaints to really say.

The house had issues such as sliding doors hard to open & close. Numerous plumbing issues which appear to be long term since there was visable mold. Kitchen very small for amount of people place sleeps. Pull out bed downstairs terrible only small child could sleep. Duct tape on light bulb in bathroom & foosball table. Terrible smell in room above garage due to toilet no soil pipe. Visable damage & mold from this on garage ceiling.

The office folks were nice enough to get us in at 2 instead of 4, but the cleaning people hadn’t been in the house and didn’t show up until 4, they were nice about it. The front door keypad lock is dead and doesn’t work, no cue tips on the pool sticks, Hot tub wasn’t working properly, and the fooseball table has a broken leg. The amenities just need a little care, beautiful property and amazing location.

Kajun Kove was perfect for our family. The property has a gentle walk to the water and dock. We brought Kayaks and rented a boat and it was great. Everyone loved it. The property needs landscaping surely and could use some touching up. Let be clear though it lived up to our expectations.

The property is older than the photos show, however still a beautiful home and nice vacation spot. Our issues belongs to housekeeping. There was humane hair on the kitchen dish towels and dish clothes, the silverware was not clean in the apartment over the garage, there was beer cans in the fire pit by the lake, and there was blood stains on the pillowcases in the upstairs bedroom.

Perfect place for a family gathering! We loved the lake and hot tub!

Overall great stay. Very spacious and well stocked. A little tricky getting in and out due to the fairly steep gravel driveway. But we got used to it and loved the location! If we are in this area again, we would definitely rent the Kajun Kove. It was a last minute rental and are thankful Melissa was able to accommodate our request.

We had all of our kids and grandkids for a week. It was awesome. It was exactly as described. Nice home, comfortable beds. It is a short walk to lake down the hill but very nice. Everyone had a blast and there were no issues with the house.

We stayed at Kajun Kove in May 2016. This cabin was so wonderful! It was everything we expected and more. Our whole family enjoyed the all the great extras this cabin had. The fire pit in the evenings was great! And the dock and beach area was a lot of fun. We really hope to stay again!

The Kajun Kove was wonderful. There were two families in our party; 4 adults and 5 children ages 10-17. There was plenty of room for all of us. The additional room above the garage was great (we called it the Penthouse!) The house was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed from kitchen utensils to bathroom towels. There were plenty of bathrooms that were clean and nice. We ate every meal on the screened-in porch and spent every morning having coffee there as well. The fire pit had easy access and overlooked the lake. The dock was a little challenging to access, but I believe this was because the lake was down 10-15 feet this last summer. The lake was still wonderful, and the location of this house back in a cove was great. We swam off the dock daily, water skied and tubed right from the dock. The owners and manager were great to work with. I cannot say enough about this place. We all absolutely loved it, and would definitely stay there again.
