La spiaggia!!! Carlsbad State Beach è stata classificata come una delle 10 migliori spiagge degli Stati Uniti da Traveler Magazine e si trova a soli 5 minuti di auto. Proprio di fronte alla nostra casa c'è l'unica spiaggia privata a Carlsbad, Terramar Beach. Così tanto da fare in spiaggia: Dig le dita dei piedi nella sabbia, prendere il sole, fare una nuotata, surf, boogie board, giocare a pallavolo, esplorare le pozze di marea brulicante di vita, make castelli di sabbia con i bambini, si uniscono i joggers e motociclisti lungo la diga, goditi un falò con amici e familiari o semplicemente siediti su una panchina e la gente guarda! Ricorda solo di portare la tua crema solare!
Visita la lussuosa Day Spa presso La Costa Resort - Amiamo trascorrere del tempo presso la Day Spa. Uomini e donne hanno le proprie strutture ognuna con la propria sauna interna, bagno turco e vasca idromassaggio. All'esterno è possibile incontrarsi con il coniuge a bordo piscina, cascate romane e jacuzzi all'aperto. Ci piace concludere le nostre giornate termali con un buon massaggio e poi mangiare in uno dei ristoranti chic nella località. Il resort è stupendo e perfetto per un appuntamento romantico o una giornata da ragazze. Google.
Shopping: la casa sulla spiaggia si trova a circa 5 minuti da un enorme centro commerciale all'aperto chiamato Carlsbad Premium Outlets. Questo centro commerciale ha sia negozi convenienti che di fascia alta come: Coach, Dooney e Burke, Juicy Couture, Lacoste, Barneys New York, Ralph Lauren, BCBG Max Azria, Banana Republic, DKNY, Gap, BabyGap, Carters e Crate and Barrel.
Il mio posto preferito per fare acquisti, però, è 'Il Forum' di circa 10 minuti a sud al largo Leucadia BLVD. Hanno una Z Gallerie, Sur La Table, Bed Bath and Beyond, Anthropology, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Black House White Market, Mac Cosmetics, Ulta e un Apple Store. Inoltre nelle vicinanze c'è un Target e molti ristoranti fantastici! Costco è a 5 minuti.

This beach house had all of the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Charming remodel of an older home that retains the coziness and vibe of the area. The wood ceiling and lovely backyard patio were especially charming. Appreciated the supply of bottled water. We were a bit concerned that the traffic from Highway 1 would be distracting, but it never proved to be an issue. I would highly recommend this VRBO.for those who are looking for a place with character and charm

Loved sitting in the chairs out front, everyone walking (or biking) by was so friendly! From the description i thought we had access to the private beach but evidently not. The beach was still pretty close. Carlsbad is one of our favorite spots and we will be back!

This home is in a perfect location, a short drive or bike ride to Carlsbad town center and a walk to the beach. Very well taken care of and decorated inside with everything you need, including beach chairs, towels, etc. The backyard is fenced with lush landscape. A perfect oasis for relaxing. With 3 bedrooms, this is perfect for a couple’s getaway or family vacation. The owner was on top of things immediately with communication and made our stay a great experience. We will definitely seek to stay here again in the future.

We had a lovely time at this Carlsbad house. The location is lovely. There is a beach close by with stairs to go down and then tamarack beach a short drive. We found the location great for anywhere on the coast from San Diego up to Oceanside. The house itself is the perfect size for us 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The house was pretty clean just missed a few little areas like food on the tv stand and the chairs in the kitchen. The backyard is so nice to relax and there is a small ocean view from the front yard. The only cons are it’s on a busy street this didn’t end up being a huge deal but we definitely heard some noise. Wouldn’t prevent me from staying again. The kitchen table was pretty wobbly but functional. And the fridge is old and has some broken parts but it worked fine. None of those things discount this lovely rental. We really enjoyed our stay. And the owner is so very nice and helpful.

Our stay was very comfortable and perfect for our wedding weekend in Carlsbad. The location is awesome with a small view of the ocean and close to everything you need! The house was clean, comfy cozy, and had everything we needed. Some of the wall outlets weren’t working but other than that it was absolutely perfect! The host was responsive and accommodating! Definitely would recommend and stay here again!

Nice place, great backyard, construction next door, close to Hyw 1
Great place, big backyard with a wild bunny. The only bad things was it was on busy Highway 1, after 11pm the traffic noise dies down and it gets quite. There is a new house under construction next door, they have the foundation up. We were fortunate that there was no construction going on during our three day stay. I would stay here again after the house is finished next door.

Amazing house
We loved this house. It's location, so close to the beach was awesome, we spent every day at the beach, and the ability to go down the side of the house and rinse off sand with the hose was very helpful. The beach toys and boogie boards were really appreciated.
We loved the layout of the house and the lovely big backyard where we ate every evening.
Communication with the owner was excellent.
We can highly recommend this property and would return the next time we come here.

Perfect Place
We really enjoyed our stay. Super close to to the action but far enough away to enjoy a private stay too. Access to a small beach that feels private. The house was cute, clean and stocked with what we needed to feel at home. We enjoyed coffee on the porch watching people and BBQ in the backyard too. We can't wait to stay again!

This house was very comfortable for our family of six. Beds were firm with nice bedding and pillows. Private fenced back yard with lovely foliage. Quick walk to small beach across street or beach walkway to Carlsbad. Kitchen was well fitted for cooking with quality pans. I would definitely recommend this VBRO!

Great house, fantastic yard, but on a very busy street
My family of 4 adults and two toddlers stayed at this beautiful home for a week. The house is just as pictured, very charming décor. The back yard was perfect for my two active grandkids. We even hosted a family bbq with my niece's family in town and everyone was impressed that we had such a nice yard. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a fire pit? It got chilly at night and we Arizonans aren't used to that in the summertime! The one downside was that Carlsbad Blvd runs right in front of the property, which made it very noisy if the front door was open to catch the cool breeze. At night you could hear the road noise from the front bedroom. Luckily my daughter packed her soothing sounds machines which helped quite a bit. The train whistle was not a big issue...present but more like background noise. My husband and I liked the layout of the converted garage suite. It gave us privacy and my daughter's family as well.
The location otherwise was good for a short drive to 2 or 3 beaches, one about 1/2 mile or so to the north which has a sandy beach but bigger waves (and a porta potty)and one about 1/2 mile south with wet sand (and sand fleas). The beach access closest to the property is beautiful but more of a surfer's beach. It has a small cove surrounded by cliffs at low tide and at high tide the surf comes to the bottom of the stairs (there are 60 of them). I found that beach great for finding shells and 2 pairs of sunglasses, but not for small children. We went to Moonlight beach in Encinitas for more of a family friendly beach (read sandy beach, showers and real bathrooms, gentler waves).
There are no restaurants or stores within walking distance but Ralph's and Costco are a short drive away and Carlsbad Village is also close, but good luck parking there! There's so many good restaurants in that area. On Wednesday evenings they have a farmer's market and it was fun roaming around looking at and tasting all the different locally grown harvest, especially the strawberries.
This was a really nice home base for our southern California visit. We felt really comfortable there. Thanks for letting us stay here!

Our family loved the beach house, the beach is so close, so picturesque and the tide pools at low tide were a treat. The house was very clean and every amenity worked well. The backyard is pure bonus and it so well cared for. The rooms were well designed and having a TV in each bedroom was fabulous.

Comfy, well maintained, and a great location.
We stayed here for Spring Break so our young boys could be close to LegoLand and the beach. We enjoyed the well maintained interior and exterior including a backyard where our boys could play around while I could use the BBQ. The backyard has a storage shed that holds all the necessary beach equipment: beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, umbrellas, and a wagon to carry it all. Each of the bedrooms inside have very comfortable beds and their own TV mounted on the wall. No garage access as that was converted into a bedroom, but you can park in the long driveway. I recall reading other reviews prior to our stay that mentioned some street noise at night with cars driving by given the location on the street, but we didn't notice it or have it prevent us from sleeping. The couch in the main room is quite wide and could easily sleep an extra person although the three bedrooms suited us without using the couch. LegoLand was only a 5 minute drive, and we ended up going to Moonlight Beach in Encinitas which was only a 10 minute drive and nicer than the beach across the street. We also went to Coronado beach which was about 40 min south but a fantastic beach and worth the drive. We certainly recommend staying here and would do so if/when we come back to Carlsbad again.

It was very comfortable, having three couples, we had room to spread out. We loved Carlsbad too! The beach was great. We spent a lot of time in SAN Diego, which was great but also enjoyed local restaurant. We appreciated the tips on local eateries.
