Bellissima casa sulla spiaggia situata nella desiderabile Surfside Beach, nella Carolina del Sud, a sole otto miglia a sud di Myrtle Beach. Great place to stay for any occasion. We had 7 men for a golf trip and the accommodations were perfect.

Overall, we had a great time largely because of the layout and location to easy beach access. Having the elevator was very important for my mom and it allowed her to access the house and private pool with ease. The kitchen is a bit small but we worked out a system and managed just fine.

This property has it all. Short walk to the beach even for little ones, nice pool, and grill area. The house has everything you need, plenty of dishes, cups and utensils for a family gathering, all the bedrooms were comfortable and had plenty of towels and amenities. Property owner was great communicating everything you needed to know.
I will definitely try to rent this property again.

We had the most wonderful time at Junebugs Retreat. The views and closeness to everything (especially the beach) was great, plus having a private pool was a huge perk. So many good restaurants to choose from in walking distance or a short drive, The house had everything needed, plenty of beds and baths for everyone. Pretty much anything you needed was also there. Meg is an amazing host, she even brought us a new Keurig coffee pot to use during our stay. If you are looking for a family friendly house in a great location for vacation look no further, you won't be disappointed!

Had a great time with family and friends. Owners were super responsive. Upon arrival, a porch chair was broken and the owners had a whole new (and improved) set delivered pronto. The pool was a great retreat after a day at the beach and the location was fantastic, just a quick walk to the beach. Loved the screened porch to relax in the evenings. The house was very clean, too.
One update, there’s a charcoal grill rather than a gas grill (which was listed in the description.)

We loved staying at Junebug's retreat! The house smelled great and was very clean. Providing linens, soaps, and paper products was a huge bonus and not common with other rentals in the area! The bedrooms were very sound-proof with solid doors, which was helpful for our younger kids who napped. The location was so close to the beach and in a cute neighborhood - felt more quaint than other areas of Surfside.
Only two points as a heads up to others - being the first of a row of houses from the corner means you're butting up against many other neighbors on the main street and their pools. Our neighbors were respectful and quiet, but the back porch didn't feel as private as I had hoped. It also would've been nice to have some basic supplies like tupperware, ziplock bags or plastic wrap/foil. We cooked a lot and had very little options to store leftovers. We adjusted, but you might want to pack some.
We'd definitely stay here again!

The house was perfect for our family. The house was clean upon arrival and Meg was quick to answer any questions we had. We could hardly get the grandkids out of the private pool to have dinner! The house is in a great location with a very short walk to the beach and a short drive to Murrell’s Inlet to have a meal at some great restaurants.
We had a lot of rain during our stay, however it didn’t keeps us from making some great family memories playing cards and board games that were provide by the owner.

Excellent . It was absolutely perfect . Wonderful location , clean , kitchen stocked with necessities. A day at the beach , followed by poolside and within walking ( or golf cart) distance to so many things . Our car stayed put.

Meg was very nice and easy to communicate with. The air conditioner ended up not working adequately on the second floor. It was miserable for a day or 2, but she actually had it replaced while we were there. The house seems older and definitely needs some updating within. The dishwasher especially- it was not draining properly but we made it work. I had to take a part the drawer where laundry detergent goes and scrub it because it was caked with mold. I also scrubbed the coffee pot and the dish drainer. It just could use an overall deep clean because my kids feet were dirty after first arriving. We paid more for this house than we ever have and it just came up a little short to our expectations. We also had a lot of trouble with the wifi signal. It seemed to be very weak and slow.

this was our first time to rent thru VRBO and we were very pleased. Meg was an amazing host and extremely accommodating. The house was better than imagined and perfect for our growing family with grandkids. The pool was nice to have in addition to the beach which is just a short walk.
Highly recommend. So many lovely touches in this home.

Love our Family Vacations
The property manager is awesome and didn't get annoyed with me contacting her more than once.
The home is in a great location for beach access and has a service elevator for taking your luggage up and down to living area. This house has everything. The most well stock kitchen I have ever seen. My only suggestion is a empty cabinet or space to store groceries and snacks. Love the proximity to the Marsh Walk in Murrells Inlet. Location is perfect, house is great. Can't say enough good things about the property manager. You will love your stay at this property.

Close to the beach
Spacious home, each room had a bathroom which is great. Close walk to the beach, especially if you have to haul beach stuff with you. Pool area was nice, had to contact Meg to make aware that pool hadn’t been cleaned while we were there. She was very responsive and pool was cleaned the next day. Close to other homes, do you can hear neighbors, ok during the day, but at night some of the neighbors were out till 3am in their pool area and they were loud.

Perfect all around
You can’t go wrong with this location it’s steps from the beach and perfect if you have children. The pool is a big plus as is the space inside the house! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Meg, the owner, was wonderful to deal with and super responsive!! Highly recommend!

Surfside during COVID
We had a great time here. It was a great location. We were so close to the beach and had our own private pool. It allowed us to have some fun and break the routine of staying at home. We did not explore as we wanted to continue to social distance as much as possible. Most rooms have their own bathroom which is wonderful when there are different families, it allows for more privacy. The Pool was cleaned throughout our stay which was nice. The other homes are very close but there was never excessive noise. The beach sis get crowded but never so much that I felt I was close to others. The beds were comfortable and all the sheets and even comforter are washed after every visit. Meg was very helpful and responsive with any questions or issues we had. We hope to return again.

Wonderful time st June bug!
We had a great time the beach house was great there was 10 adults 2 small children everything described in the details was exceptional. Meg responded promptly when the fridge went out. The pool was a welcome site from returning from a hot hot day at the beach.

The house was extremely clean, well supplied with all possible necessities. The pool was a welcome item at the end of the day. The location on the beach is optimal. Meg took care of minor issues immediately. I would return to this house without hesitation.

Great Place in a great location
The house was beautiful and comfortable. We had an issue with the lockbox code at check-in but Meg was quick to respond and come to the house to assist. Love the pool area, screened in porch, front porch and closeness to the beach. In my observation this home was definitely nicer, and had a better pool area than other homes in the area. The screened in back porch was also a great feature that other homes in the area did not have. Thanks again Meg for a great stay!

Wonderful week! Loved the house and Surfside Beach!
We were a party of 10 (age range 13 to 84) from Massachusetts, Florida, and North Carolina meeting up for a family vacation. None of us had ever been to the area and this house and beach exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved all the house has to offer....the porches, the pool and private backyard, steps from the beach, and an elevator was great for my elderly father. The house was clean and comfortable, and we felt very relaxed and at home. We had plenty of room to all be together or off in our own private spaces. We cooked/grilled all our meals and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The owner was wonderful to work with and answered any questions we had from 7 month prior when booking right through our stay. The location of the house is perfect...so close to many shops, restaurants, and attractions yet just far enough away that we didn't feel like we were part of a popular tourist area. We found plenty to do for all of our party, but the most memorable time was spent enjoying the house and beach. We found this property by chance and we truly lucked out!

Lovely, spacious home SO close to the beach!
My party of 7 loved staying at Junebugs! It was amazing having an elevator for my father in law to use (and for bringing luggage in and out)! The private pool was well maintained with tons of seating options! The walk to the beach:: I’m always worried when people say “short” walk to the beach because my short is probably not their ‘short’! But the beach was literally across the street. My 1.5 and 3 year old walked beside us, and it still took less than 2 minutes! The road is quiet. The backyard is secluded. Parking was ample. The house was well maintained and well-decorated! It had all the necessities and then some. We LOVED our stay and hope to return soon!

Great vacation home
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Junebug's. We enjoyed the pool and we had a very short walk to the beach. The house is so clean and you can tell it's cared for with love. So many decorating and thoughtful attention to details to make it "home". Loved the porches for reading, relaxing and visiting. Many books available for interesting reading. The kitchen was well stocked. We did a lot of cooking and had everything we needed. Meg is available if you have any problems. We can't wait to come to Surfside Beach again and to Junebug's!

Beautiful property
Our family stays at a beach every year. This property was clean, well kept and had everything we needed. It was like staying at our own home. It was close to the beach and had its own pool. If we again want to stay in this area we would not hesitate to rent this place.

5 Fabulous Ladies, 1 Fabulous Week!
Perfectly clean! Beautifully decorated! Roomy! The first three thoughts which come to mind thinking about "Junebug Retreat". Our group of 5 ladies came to Myrtle Beach for an annual golf event and this home was perfect! With 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, we each had private space to "spread out" with plenty of linens, comfortable beds, and a TV in each room. The community spaces (decks, living room, dining area, pool) were each designed to accommodate multiple people so we could all gather in the same place or spread around the home in small groups. The pool was a wonderful place to unwind each evening. The thoughtfully provided beach cart and chairs encouraged us to make the very short walk to the beach and enjoy the ocean also.
The attention to detail in the decor is wonderful. It feels like being in a loving home instead of a rental. Nothing was in the way! It drives me crazy when I have to "undecorate" a rental in order to have space for my personal things. Meg Reed has this home beautiful and functional - I took pictures to copy in my own home. In addition, the kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to cook a great meal and set a beautiful table!
Location location location - this house has it all! We were close to the beach, restaurants, and still had quick access to the main highway which was especially helpful for getting to the golf courses each morning. (There are several nice courses near Junebug, but we were playing in a tournament which required some travel each day.)
Junebug quickly became the center and focus of our groups daily events. It was the great unifier because Meg Reed's kindness and consideration for her guests was so evident throughout this home. The elevator was a lifesaver for bringing up heavy luggage! I highly recommend everyone rent this home. You'll feel like a dear friend and not just a "renter".
