Amazing Ocean-View Vacation Home! 4 BR, Rooftop Terrace, Sundeck, and SURF!
Paradise found! Perfetto chiavi in mano, vacanza-casa pronto per voi a venire in, impostare le borse giù e ottenere tanto avventura o relax, il tuo cuore desidera. From start to finish, process was amazing!!! House is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. Had everything we needed to cook our meals. Roberto caretaker was very helpful with telling us about where to order pizza and how to use the TV for my dad. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you. Forgot to mention the pool was so nice, so we could hang out at house. Yo-yo’s bar is great for a bite to eat or yummy drinks.

This was a fabulous family vacation with ages from 10-76! The house is beautiful and has everything you need. The third floor deck was spectacular. We saw macaws every morning and watched the sunset in the evening. The owners answered all of my questions before we arrived and then Roberto, the manager, gave great recommendations while we were there.
Yo-yo’s bar is the best! Her food was so incredible that we wound up eating there several nights! The real beauty was that beach. To be able to swim in those strong waves and listen to the powerful ocean was my favorite. I was so sad to leave and am already wondering when I can go back!

This was our first time to Costa Rica, but we are regular VRBO renters. This home, the community, Judy (the owner), and Roberto (the manager), were all exceptional. The house was clean and beautiful, and Roberto made check in easy. He helped connect us with surf lessons with Jeffrey (our kids’ favorite activity) and Chef Dennis, who cooked some meals for us in our home. He also answered any questions we had about Costa Rica. I can’t say enough things about how great this community was. The pool and YoYo’s poolside bar were one of the highlights of our trip. I would recommend this home to anyone - the view is as beautiful a view as you’ll get. We hope to be back sometime!

We had a wonderful time at the property. The house was large, clean, and perfect for us. The swim up restaurant/bar at the community pool was fantastic! We will definitely plan to stay here again in the future.

Judy from start was wonderful and accommodating from start to arrival. Roberto great property manager available for any needs. Property is in pristine condition well appointed with fantastic brand new water filtration system. Well worth the price and then some. We will be back.

Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable retreat
My wife and a few close friends rented Judy's place while attending our friends' destination wedding at Hermosa Palms. I can't say enough great things about this spot. Check-in was a breeze thanks to regular communication with the property manager Roberto. In fact, Roberto connected with us on WhatsApp weeks before we arrived to coordinate and answer any questions we might have, which was so helpful and comforting as this was our first trip to Costa Rica.
The house is clean, well appointed with really nice appliances and comfortable beds and furniture, and seems recently renovated. The private pool and decks provided a great place to unwind away from the crowd. Although not beachfront, the property between the house and the beach is a pasture and nature preserve, making the house seem more peaceful and secluded than others in the neighborhood. Wake up early and you'll spot all sorts of tropical birds, if you're into that sort of thing.
The larger Hermosa Palms neighborhood is really special. House rental includes access to Playa Hermosa, the Hermosa Palms private clubhouse, pool, and most importantly Yoyo's poolside bar. Yoyo is an incredible bartender with a great selection of drinks using fresh, local ingredients. Same goes for the kitchen at Yoyo's, where I had some of the freshest ceviche and one of the best quesadillas I've ever had. The beach itself is beautiful, with volcanic sands and unmatched sunsets.
Judy clearly takes pride in keeping a clean, safe, and comfortable place for her visitors. Roberto was always available for any questions/local advice/etc and just seems like a really solid dude. My only regret is not spending a longer time there. Don't hesitate to book this great spot for your Playa Hermosa vacation.

Great family getaway
Our fourth time to Costa Rica, our first time to Hermosa Palms on Playa Hermosa ("Greater Jaco").
I would recommend a car as there are no restaurants or shopping (i.e., grocery, pharmacy, retail) anywhere nearby. Having said that, we spent very little time in our car as we spent most of our day going back and forth between the house, the beach, the pool, the house, and then back to the beach! What a great setup! We rented boogie boards and surf boards from a store in Jaco and kept them at the house which certainly kept us busy in the ocean. We also regularly frequented the great pool bar (open Tues-Sun) which had drinks and really good snacks and meals.
The house itself is very spacious with a gorgeous new kitchen, a beautiful deep pool, and a BBQ which we used for dinners most nights. The AC was also great as there were multiple units throughout the house. Each of our three kids had their own bedroom and three of the four bedrooms had their own bathrooms.
The owner, Judy, was great, as was Robert, the on-site manager. Both great people and very helpful.
We would come back without hestitation.

Fantastic overall Experience
We stayed in this property from Dec. 29 through Jan. 7 and our time in Costa Rica was amazing. I cannot say enough good things about the owner of this home and how accommodating he was from the time we booked until the moment we left. Our group consisted of 2 families of 5- Adults, 4 teenagers and 2 middle schoolers. The house easily accommodated our group of ten with the 4 bedrooms. There are basically 2 master suites- a large downstairs bed/bath and a bed/bath upstairs that housed the 4 adults. The kids were scattered between the other 2 rooms and a couple of comfortable couches.
To begin, JJ went well above and beyond in recommending various excursions, a chef, transportation, surf rentals/lessons- basically anything we could ask for. He even picked us up and took us to the local grocery store on our first day to stock up on food for the house! Everyone that he recommended to us was amazing. The chef (Rachel) that came and cooked made amazing dishes of Mahi and fresh ceviche. The food was so good we even went in to Jaco and visited the restaurant she runs- TWICE! Our transportation/ tour and excursion organizer Fabian was prompt, friendly, reliable and very well informed about Costa Rica and its history. Our surf connection who lived in the same complex was very flexible and made us feel like we were one of his friends.
As for the property, I will say that you should go in with the understanding that these houses in this environment are subject to brutal conditions due to being right on the ocean. The house was very well kept and clean, but there were a few issues with outdoor lights not working, the water heater was down for a day (which was not a big deal because it was so hot there anyway) and we did have a few critters (Crabs, bugs, etc) inside the house. Certainly nothing to damper our excitement about our time there, but just go in with reasonable expectations for the climate and you won't be disappointed.
Lastly, the amenities and environment of the complex really made the stay for all of us. The beach is amazing. The beautiful Macaws circle the complex all day. The location is the perfect distance for you to explore the country and all of its beauty. The pool is a fantastic addition and reprieve from the heat, especially the swim up bar with the AMAZING Yoyo who runs it! All of the people that we met from the community could not have been more friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend and/or return to this property!

From Florida to Costa Rica
Great location and very nice home. Needs a few repairs, and could have been stocked a bit better (no sheets/pillowcases for spare bed, had to buy our own toilet paper) but owner was very accommodating and tried to assist us during the stay. We were three families of four traveling together so we were a large group. The home is better suited for 10 people max, but owner was willing to accommodate us and we made it work.
Community pool was great amenity and the small pool restaurant was awesome. Food was delicious and the owner wasvery friendly.

Ocean-View Vacation Home, Perfect for Families
We loved our stay near the beach while we were visiting Costa Rica. A short drive to nearby restaurants and Jaco beach. You can also walk to the beach club and watch the sunset from the beach. Perfect for families with several rooms and bathrooms.

Vacation in costa rica
Great stay at a great property! The house is great with two balcony views of the beach. It's also isolated in a nice community instead of being on a packed resort. Highly recommend to anybody traveling to Costa Rica

Awesome place!
Jean-Jacques place was a great stay! The house is in great shape, it very comfortably fits the maximum of 12 people. It is very well kept and conditioned, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking a full meal, it even has a gated garage which is a rare finding in Costa Rican beaches. It has central A/C throughout the entire house which is also great for travellers who, like me, do not want to sacrifice on the good A/C.
The condominum facilities are also in great order, and, it has very quick access to the beach to the point it could almost be considered beach-front property.
The property exactly meets the description and the pictures in its profile. What you see is what you get. Perhaps the only downside is that the upstairs A/C is not as cool as the downstairs one.
I would not hesitate in recommending Jean-Jacques place, or the host himself who was very attentive and responsive. This house definitely makes it to my list of houses to visit again in the future.

Perfect for a family getaway
We stayed here with two families consisting of 4 adults and 6 kids, ages 10-16. The house was beautiful and had all the amenities we were looking for. We spent quite a few days at the community pool getting to know a number of the people that lived there. Everyone was friendly and shared recommendations for excursions. Yo Yo's food was amazingly delicious!! Faco gave us great surf lessons! Our lesson learned would be to stock up on groceries from Auto Mercado at the beginning of the week versus stopping at super close market - their groceries were quite expensive. We cannot wait to come back and visit!

This home is in a very nice community with an amazing community pool and YoYo and her crew at the swim up bar are fabulous. The home is well appointed and modern and super close to the great beach! Staff was also very good in helping with shuttles and tours.

Beautiful home with all of the modern amenities you want while relaxing on vacation! Property has a wonderful pool and beautiful beach with powder soft black sand. There are a pair of beautiful Macaws that live in the neighborhood too! We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful stay at a beautiful house.
Our group included 5 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 children over 9. House is divided into 3 sections:
-downstairs includes living room, kitchen, a big bedroom with its own bathroom with TV, and half bath.
-2nd floor includes 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have their own TV and their own bathrooms. There’s also a common area with a large screen tv, cable, DVD player and a TON of movies on DVD.
-outdoors with a deck and then lanai on top of the house with a gorgeous view of the Ocean.
-The house is isolated as it’s located in a small private community about 20 min drive from Jaco, and a 10 min drive to the actual town of Playa Hermosa. If you will not have access to a car, and are taking private transportation there, I would suggest hitting the MasxMenos or MaxPali in Jacoon the way and filling up on tons of groceries.
-House has plenty of space for everyone.
-AC downstairs worked quickly and kept the 1stfloor very cool throughout the day. Upstairs was a different story though as it struggled to keep up with the heat and the number of windows. But be patient, as it will keep you cool at night once the sun goes down.
-Big Weber Grill with Propane tank is included, and we were able to grill for a meal.
-Cell phone signal downstairs can be poor to nonexistent, but it’s probably more a function of the house being built like a fort limiting the signal in certain rooms.
-Included wifi was limited to 1Mbps, so don’t expect for everyone in your party to be able to stream Netflix during your entire stay. Would be nice to have option to pay an increased internet bandwidth fee- something we would have gladly done.
-TVs include cable, you might need to switch the audio to SAP to get the English version of some channels (which is used the opposite way in the US to get Spanish audio).
-Includes access to private beach club (5 min walk) with chairs, bathrooms, tiny convenience store, and a huge pool with swim up bar. The bar is open from 11-7, but closed early over the holidays when they ran out of food/drinks. Drinks and Food were excellent, just don’t expect to show up on your first night at 6 or 7 and be able to get food. This happened to us the first night, and then saw it happen to a couple of parties during our stay. Not the bar’s fault thought, as they were completely overwhelmed by lots of families staying and enjoying the community.
-Beach area was nice, sand was HOT, so be careful with your feet! but surf is rough, and riptides abound. Stay close to shore.

We had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful!
Jean-Jacques house was perfect for our stay. We had family members who wanted to surf and we had 4 small children with us. There was something for everyone. The kids loved the pool and all the iguanas. After dinner we put a movie on for the kids upstairs in the media room and the adults played games downstairs around the table.
The location was central for all the things we wanted to do. We made a day trip to Manuel Antonio National Park to see all the animals and were not disappointed. We saw more animals than we expected and enjoyed lunch at el Avion.
We found the nearby beach at Playa Esterillos to be very kid friendly at low tide.
For deep sea fishing we drove south to the marina at Quepos. The prices were cheaper than Los Suenos and the marina was beautiful.
Jaco is very close by for shopping and dining.
We did not go on any tours but there were many places in Jaco to book all kinds of tours.
Hermosa palms is beautiful. The pool restaurant was closed since it was the off season but the spa was open for massages.
JJ was very responsive to our needs. We initially had a problem with the internet and needed more bedding for the futon. We emailed JJ from a restaurant in Jaco and he sent the maid over and reset the internet. The rest of our visit was trouble free.

Beautiful vacation home away from home in Costa Rica
We just had wonderful stay in this beautiful house in Playa Hermosa. The house is very clean and had ample space for the two families in our group. 4 Adult & 6 teenagers.
The cleaning service cleaned the house daily while we were out on our adventures. The Chef recommended by the home owner was great. The owner as well as the care takers were very attentive to any issues that arose. The AC stopped working one morning but they had it going within the hour. The area is just 10 minutes south of Jaco. The house is in a gated community very safe. There is a great pool with swim up bar and food. We had a great time here and are looking forward to visiting again.

Excelente estadía
Si deseas viajar a un bello lugar cerca de la ciudad , ésta es una excelente elección , a tan solo 1 hora con 45 minutos de San José, estarás disfrutando de una maravillosa playa , en un lugar tranquilo y de gran paz, en una casa con todo el confort necesario para tu comodidad, cerca de supermercados si deseas sentirte como en casa , pero a la vez cerca de restaurantes si así lo prefieres.
Las personas de la limpieza siempre dispuestas a atenderte y resolver cualquier problema.
El dueño muy amable y colaborador con tus necesidades.

Met all expecations
Great spacious house in well located local with an awesome community pool with a swim up bar and super family friendly. Lots of room for 5 kids to roam around and we never felt on top of one another. The local is a great basecamp to explore Costa Rica-proximity to San Jose, Jaco , Manuel Antonio etc. Jean-Jacques was super responsive to any inquiry. Highly recommend

Fantastic and Spacious house, we had a great time!
An spectacular house, spacious and with all the amenities, what I like most was its spacious kitchen, we found everything we needed for our New Year Eve dinner, we were very comfortable with our whole family.
The only thing that confused us at the beginning was to understand how the air conditioning and hot water worked, but after asking our gentile host we clarified the doubts.
I definitely recommend it for large families, very nice house, its finishes and location, the beach is beautiful.

Perfect location for our CR coast vacation!
This is a magnificent house, practically right on the beautiful black sand beach. It is fully air-conditioned (a necessity for us in the near-equatorial heat), has a spacious kitchen with all modern appliances, a comfortable dining area that easily accommodated our party of 9, and was extremely clean. The rooftop lookout was a perfect place to watch the sunset! House contact Jean-Jacques Cappa was very responsive to the few questions we had.
The Hermosa Palms gated development has a wonderful, laid-back surfer vibe, and you can expect friendly greetings from everyone you meet. We spent most of our time at the community pool, where JoJo took very good care of us making tasty food and tall drinks at her swim-up bar. There are iguanas in every streetside drain pipe (they love fresh pineapple scraps!), toucans and macaws in the trees, and pelicans flying in offshore echelons. We saw hatchling leatherback turtles making their way to the sea on the beach one morning, and tracks of adult females making their way inshore to lay eggs. The beach extends for a mile in either direction and is soft and smooth -- easy on tender Northern feet. Paco offers surfing lessons on demand right at the pool -- our son learned to ride small waves quickly under his tutelage.
Overall it was a wonderful place to relax over the Christmas holiday!

Beautiful, quiet, private beach and pool was fabulous!
We had 8 women vacationing together and we felt extremely safe on this property. Jean-Jaques had the groceries we requested waiting for us, and Yo-Yo at the pool bar helped find us all rides and excursions we needed. She also cooked special meals for one in our party who only ate certain foods. Everything was above and beyond! We could easily drive to Jaco to shop, but had the quiet leisure time back at our house, beach and pool. A++++

The house is beautiful and the country is beautiful. Rich Coast!
Everything exceeded expectations! Everyone was friendly. The house and beach were beautiful. Hermosa palms is only about 10 minutes from Jaco which is a nice little party area. We were about an hour away from Quepos which is a nice little coastal town with lots of tourism. We had privacy, but if we needed anything we were within a few minutes of a drive to get it. The house was comfortable and has amazing views from the rooftop terrace. San Jose was cool to travel but we were mostly at the coast in Hermosa/Jaco/Quepos. Everything was well worth it and anyone that attended this vacation would hands down go back to Costa Rica. Jean-Jacques was on top of everything the whole time and took care of any questions or issues that we had.
