Just as the title says, “ Home away from Home”was our wonderful experience. Our hosts, Raul and Carmen, made sure of that! The place is at the city center, close to Metro, Bus stations and trains. Tourist attractions like plaza España, casa batlló and more are justa a close walk away. We loved the serenity this place offered and the terrace it had to wind down was the cherry on top. Barcelona is a big city that was made easy to explore thanks to the help of Raul and Carmen. We loved the experience!

I had read all the good reviews when I booked, but my experience was beyond my expectations. Here’s the list of things we, a family of four high schoolers, appreciate. (stayed for 4 nights) -The host picked us up from the airport and showed us around the neighborhood on the way to the apartment. -Checking in was easy because he escorted us in. -The host gave us good tips and recommendations on sightseeing and dining out. -The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. -The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of fruits, all sorts of beverages, bread, etc. I had never seen such a welcoming place -The shower had good water pressure and hot water that never runs out!! -The bedrooms were compact, but we didn’t feel cramped thanks to the bright and roomy living/dining room. I found the couch very comfortable, even to sleep on at night. -Good location. Plenty of food options are within walking distance. Easy access to public transportation, although we often ended up using Cabify or Uber, which can be cheaper for four of us. We will definitely go back!

We love everything about this apartment from shopping, restaurants, groceries, etc. Everything is close-by. Number one that we enjoyed our stay most is our host Raul and Carmen. Raul is an exceptional host. He had ready fruit basket on the table, milk and orange juice in the fridge, different kinds of coffee for the coffee maker. We will back off course after the La Sagrada de Familia is finished. If you need anything, I mean anything --Raul is ready at your service. This guy is ready to help even though he works also at the same time. He will go out his own ways to help you while working. Raul and Carmen are just an exceptional hosts. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Thanks again for the great stay!!

The owner (host) is simply extraordinary ! He greeted us at the train station and came with us to the unit. He spent an hour with us explaining the points of interest in the city. On our arrival, we had a nice fruit basket on the dining table. He took very good care of us much above usual standards. We will never this man and all the treasures of Barcelona. Great week in this unit with a beautiful terrace that we had a chance to enjoy !

Amazing apartment, superb hosts, perfect location. Had the most wonderful time celebrating a big birthday in Barcelona. From collecting us from the airport, providing a lovely introductory tour, tips on where to visit/buy things, Raul made us feel so welcome which made the visit even more special. Highly recommend! We’re definitely coming back in the future.

We had a great stay at Raul and Carmen's place in BCN. They made every extra effort to make us welcome. The apartment was spotlessly clean and in a safe neighborhood near the L1 metro subway. Everything in the apartment worked perfectly. Raul and Carmen were also excellent at communicating in advance via WhatsApp and during our stay. Donna and I hope to stay there again. Both the apartment and Barcelona were fantastic!

You'll never find a better host than Raul and Carmen. Even prior to making our booking, they were quick with responses to all our queries and once we made our booking, they provided us all the information and tips we need to make our stay comfortable. Raul was the most gracious, even taking a day off from work just to pick us up from the train station, complete with our travel passes! It saved us from having to worry about transportation and he was so patient waiting for us despite our Montpellier train running an hour late! He then sat down with us for a considerable hour just to show us maps and guides so we would know our way around. We've been traveling around Europe for a month by then so we've seen our fair share of apartments/hotels etc and this is exactly going above and beyond what hosts normally do. They even stocked up the kitchen and fridge with food so we wouldn't need to go shopping straight away plus a sweet gift of a huge fruit basket. The property is also quite spacious, a lovely home for our family to retire to at the end of a tiring day. The rooftop balcony is a treat, it reminded me of home where I can relax looking out while waiting for my laundry to finish in the machine. We're very grateful to the hosts for making our stay memorable. Barcelona is now our favourite city and we cannot recommend this property enough. Book it now while still available because it always gets taken!

Raul picked us up from the airport, offered to take us on a brief tour of the city, surprised us with a delicious wine and fruit basket (two of us couldn't finish all of the fruit in a week!), brought me a birthday cake with lit candle on my birthday, took us on a walking tour of the neighborhood . . . you name it! We hope to stay with Raul and Carmen's again in the future! Thank you so much!!

Our stay could not have been better. Raul picked us up at the airport and gave us a lot of helpful information. The fridge had milk, juice, wine and a couple of beers! Delicious fruit basket too! If I ever return to Barcelona, I hope I can stay here.

The property was located in a great area and just walking around was a wonderful experience. Raul was a great host who we felt went above and beyond what we expected. After 4 years of not being able to travel, due to COVID, we decided to return to Barcelona. But where will we stay now? Prior to COVID we had traveled to Barcelona for 8 years. We love it here. We were so fortunate to find Raul and Carmen’s apartment on VRBO with so many wonderful reviews. The message that was repeated by many who stayed at their apartment was, “Raul and Carmen made us feel like family.” We agree 100%. Raul and Carmen are kind, fun, generous and treated us like we were family. We feel Barcelona is our second home and now we have family here too. The apartment is very comfortable and in a great location. It had everything that we needed for our stay. We hope to return and stay longer next time. We were delighted with the location. Grocery stores and numerous restaurants are all within walking distance. The host provided helpful information on places to eat and sites to visit. He picked us up at the airport and gave us a brief tour of the area to help us get oriented. He also responded quickly if we had any questions. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Very comfortable apartment in a easy accessible area of Barcelona. The terrace was excellent to enjoy an evening drink with the family. It was clean and well stocked. Raul picked us up from the airport and welcomed us to his flat. We would come back again.

The hosts were amazing and so thoughtful. We will be definitely coming back to stay at their apartment. From first contact with the hosts we felt welcome and reassured. Host pick us up at the airport and had car seat for our 3 year old. The care was second to none. They gave us a little tour before we got to the apartment and to our surprise there was a gift for little one in her bedroom. Our little one opened it and It was a teddy bear, such a thoughtful gift and it made her stay more comfortable, relaxed and memorable. The host gave us a a whistle stop tour of how to get from A to B, places to eat and visit. All written on a maps for us. There was a welcome fruit basket with a bottle of red wine on the table, teas, water and other items in the fridge/cupboard. We definitely felt home from home and our making plans for next visit.

Raul & Carmen make this place feel like home! The apartment is in a great location with restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores nearby. All the necessary amenities are supplied and then some. I would come back simply because of these things but then there is Raul & Carmen....who are the most amazing hosts ever. They make sure to pay attention to the little details and go above and beyond most other hosts to make you feel welcome and at home! Will definitely be back!

Raul is hands-down the best rental host ever. He is so accommodating and kind. The apartment itself is great for a stay in Barcelona. It has all the amenities you might need and is very comfortable. It’s close to public transportation, making it easy to get anywhere you want to go in the city. There are many great restaurants and shops, and a playground right in the neighborhood as well.

We just got back home after staying with Raul and Carmen for a week. Hands down it was the best apartment experience that we have ever had. From the moment of greeting Raul at the airport to his dropping us off for our return, it felt like we were visiting family. Raul and Carmen took care of everything - helped plan things before we arrived, small comforts when we arrived and wonderful help finding the best spots throughout Barcelona. The apartment is located in a great area where you feel part of the locals and is very easy to get around - we did the bus based on Raul's recommendation and it was super easy and fun. Also, plan to spend time on the balcony whether its eating a meal, snack or just reading a book it was a bit magical to soak up the big city.

Raul was an amazing host! The best we’ve ever had. Raul picked up our family of four from the airport and gave us a quick tour of Barcelona on the way to the apartment. We even stopped for a great photo opportunity on Mount Montjuïc overlooking the city. Once we arrived at the apartment Raul welcomed us with a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine. Additionally, he had coffee, juice, milk, soda and a couple of beers to get us started. Raul spent considerable time mapping out transportation, restaurants, grocery stores and much more! This apartment was located very close to several bus and metro stops, which made it easy to get around Barcelona. Raul was also very responsive to several messages I sent him looking for additional restaurant and transportation recommendations based on where we were touring in Barcelona. I cannot say enough how kind Raul was and how he made us feel very comfortable in his vacation rental. When we visit Barcelona in the future, we will look to stay here again!

lovely apartment with walking access to most of the important areas. Lift in building which made access fairly easy. The airport pickup was a very nice feature. Host provided tips and advice about tourist attractions in the area, and provided a customized map of the close area and wider area. Would definitely recommend.

The apartment was everything and more. Raul, the host, could not do enough for us. From picking us up at the airport giving us a guided tour of Barcelona and on arrival at the apartment was a basket of fruit, bottle of wine, beer, and all the groceries we needed for several days. The apartment is situated in an area mostly occupied by local people. Thus is a big plus as cafe, bars etc are local prices. The very big plus for us was the roof terrace. After a day's sightseeing, its was lovely and relaxing to sit on the terrace with a beer or glass of wine. Special thanks to Raul for coming to our rescue when we locked ourselves out

This beautifully clean, well stocked apartment is located in one of the best areas of Barcelona - a short way away from the crowded main tourist district, in a quiet residential neighborhood near art museums and the beautiful Montjuic mountain, with its castle and the wonderful park. There are two metro stops and numerous bus stops near the apartment. The neighborhood is full of great cafes and restaurants, and a large supermarket is just around the corner. All attractions around Plaza Catalunya are just a few minutes away by bus or by metro, or an easy 25 minute walk. Raul and Carmen are the nicest accommodation owners you will ever meet on your travels. They were in touch before we arrived, provided a lot of very useful information and gave great advice on organizing our holiday in Barcelona. Raul met us at the airport, and took us on a short tour around the area. They left a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine, orange juice, butter and milk in the fridge, coffee, jam, biscuits and even some bottled water for us in the apartment (although the tap water in Barcelona is perfectly safe to drink!). Raul and Carmen live in the same building, and were always there for us to kindly answer any questions we had during our stay.

This is a lovely and spacious apartment in a good neighborhood filled with bakeries, several markets, and good restaurants. It’s not touristy which we like. On a scale of 1-10, Raul scores 10++ as a host who is not only very gracious, but who thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. He picked us up at the airport and gave us a brief tour on the drive to the apartment where a beautiful basket of fruit and wine awaited us. We met Raul as our host. We are very happy to say that he is now our friend.

From the time we arrived until the time we had to the depart, Raul was fantastic! He picked us up from the airport, gave us a little tour and then was extremely helpful explaining the apartment, the transportation system, restaurants, and many other time saving tips to streamline our experience in Barcelona. This was one of the most delightful apartments I have ever rented. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and cheery , with lots of light. The hosts had generously provided ample provisions and a well stocked kitchen. Both Carmen and Raul were in touch with us from the moment we booked and provided great tips on what to see and do in Barcelona, dining, and getting around on public transportation. I highly recommend this rental!
