As above: cleanliness, cosiness, spaciousness, range of facilities, helpfulness of landlord and, above all, the location. It is very close (a few minutes walk) to Highbury Corner and all the shops, cafés and restaurants, cinemas and theatres in/off Upper Street Islington. It is close to Highbury Fields and a pleasant walk to Highbury Barn. There is a charming corner café and a Japanese alternative next door where you can sit outside, too.

Nothing: however, a few suggestions: a repair to the plug/replacement of the standard lamp for more directed reading (the overhead lights come on in sequence which is very bright; also a non slip bath mat would be useful; some coasters too. *None of these spoiled our stay.

Spacious apartment in local conditions. The house is run-down, but the apartment is clean and quite comfortable. Small but well equiped kitchen.

On arrival any toilet paper on WC and dirty dishes in the dish washer. Wet bathroom with dirt or moldy cealing

There was some sealant coming out of the cracks in the lounge and the sofa bed was uncomfortable. Plus, they need new sheets.

The property was not cleaned before we arrived. Having take Friday off work to travel and arrive at 3pm we were contacted by the owner to say the cleaner hadn’t been and we could only check in at 5pm. He was blasé-told us to take our time travelling and laughed when I asked for a partial refund (he did eventually agree to refund the additional cleaning fee) We arrived at five, there was no one there so I called him and got a code to a key box. On entering the flat it had not been cleaned, the beds had not been changed and there were used towels in the bath and the place stank. Called the owner, again he was blasé and seemed to find it funny that I was upset. He refused to apologise. Then the cleaner arrived, no mask and we had to go and sit in a local eatery for two hours while the food we had brought to cook for dinner sat in the car. Finally arriving back, the flat had not been properly cleaned, there was hair on the floors, dirt and socks under the bed. Contacted the owner and got no response. The flat would be okay with proper management. They need to paint over the black mould in the bathroom and give it a deep clean including the windows which were filthy. I washed and dried the fluffy throw on the bed as that had not been cleaned and moved the cushions away from beds and sofa as they all stank. This place is not COVID-19 safe and unless you don’t mind checking in after seven and bringing your own cleaning stuff I would avoid.

Everything was perfect... the apartment owner is friendly and on time to give us the key. Flat modern and clean
