Came for SIU graduation. Family had plenty of room to spread out. House is very nice and clean. Lake access is great!

This is the 2nd property of Heather and Jeff’s that we’ve rented. Their places have always been excellent both with the quality of the homes and the locations. Believe this is our 5th year in a row with them and we wouldn’t choose to stay elsewhere!

It was the perfect getaway for the Eclipse. We wanted to be away from the crowds since we have younger children and this was perfect! No matter where you were on the property you had a clear view of the sky. The rest was up to mother nature. She did not disappoint. Heather and Jeff were amazing! They were quick to respond and so accommodating. I would highly recommend this location or renting from any of their properties. We especially loved the sun porch and the covered dock. Many hours were spent relaxing and enjoying both. We would definitely stay again and hoping to.

We are more concerned about the docks than the house. The dock has room for 4 boats, two covered. With power to charge batteries. Thumbs Up!

The house was perfect! We loved waking up to the beautiful lake view every morning, and the outside space was lovely. The house had everything we needed for our stay and a great set up.

We sure enjoyed our stay! The house was just as described and perfect for the 4 of us. We were able to enjoy coffee on the deck overlooking the water and after doing some wine tasting, enjoyed s’mores by the fire! We found the furniture comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed! The house, property, and lake view are beautiful! The drive from the interstate to the property is very scenic. Fall colors were perfect for our trip timing. Everything at the property was perfectly as described. There is plenty of parking for family and guests. The kitchen, dining, and living area is a great open concept for hanging out with family and friends. Heather was very helpful and very responsive to messages. We highly recommend the property and hosts, and are already considering a return trip!

This was a girls trip. It was so much fun and very relaxing.

This house was great with the outdoor seating, firepit, beautiful view of the lake, and boat dock. Heather was very attentive and helpful from checking in and throughout our stay. Definitely a must to re-visit.

We love this property, as it's our 2nd time staying there. The layout is perfect for us, the view is beautiful & it's close to the Shawnee Wine Trail. We definitely come home relaxed & refreshed!

Owners were very responsive and accommodating. 2 stall covered dock was awesome with lights and electric to plug in boats. Perfect spot on the water with beautiful views of the forest and water. Highly recommend this rental property.

Beautiful, comfortable, lakefront property, just as advertised. Cleanest rental we've ever stayed in. The house was stocked with all the basic amenities, and pretty much had everything we needed. Owners are super friendly, easy to contact, and quick to reply to inquiries. We had 6 adults in our group and had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. The outside patio and the sunroom overlook the lake and we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunrise. Very basic, common sense requirements for guests upon checkout. Would absolutely stay here again. Just a couple notes for prospective guests, the property is a bit tricky to find and the roads are narrow and winding. Trust your GPS, when it tells you to go down the gravel dead end road, go down the gravel dead end road, and watch for the fish mailbox. Also property is on a very steep incline, keep this in mind if you have knee issues. My hubby just had knee surgery, but was still able to navigate the incline as long as he took it very slow. If you plan on cooking or grilling, bring cooking oil and or spray. Highly recommend. A+ property.

Loved the view from the back deck, spent every morning hanging out there before we took off to explore the area. There were 5 of us and we fit in the house just fine. Everything was clean and tidy and the communications with the owners were timely and informative. Would definitely stay here again.

It was a girls weekend and the house was just great. It was clean , spacious and welcoming. We found it easily and no problems getting in. The fire pit was great at night. We had fun swimming and using the kayaks and floats. It was a really fun weekend with friends.

This was a much needed get away for my family. We got to slow down and relax. Nothing planned just sat on the dock fished, talked and laughed and enjoy the peace and quiet and just be a family.

Family friendly living area with one of the best views on the lake! Fire pit right on the water and swimming dock on a quiet part of the lake were favorites for our three year old. Can't wait to book our next getaway with these friendly and responsive owners.

We arrived at the property for an extended weekend and were very surprised how nice the property was. The pictures don't do it justice. We took advantage of all the games and puzzles available. We rented a boat from Egyptian Hills and were able to pull up to the house using the sock. We also took advantage of the kayaks. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice property on Lake of Egypt.

The lake house had everything we needed for our short stay.The grands loved kayaking and caught several ( small) fish. The kitchen was well equipped and beds were comfy. I’m thinking of rebooking next year for a longer trip. Hosts were great!

We had a great stay at the lake! The house was nice and clean. The porch was fabulous! The lake was a very close, easy distance from the house. We would love to stay again next summer!

This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful lake house. We enjoyed it all, swimming, boating, fishing, total relaxation. Heather and Jeff are the most gracious hosts and are always more than accommodating. This visit was a little different for us but I know he was with us in spirit. Already looking forward to next year!!

We had a great stay at the lake house. I was happy to find a VRBO with a slip to adequately and safely store a boat for a week’s time. Many other houses have docks but it seems that fewer have boat slips. Thanks!

The house, the deck, the views, the dock, the lake were perfect for a relaxing and fun get a way. Communication with the home owner is always so easy and a pleasure. Will definitely be booking this place again.
