We thought the property was beautiful and the property manager was extremely kind and friendly. We would highly recommend this property. We had 6 adults and 2 children to celebrate my 60th birthday. The weekend was perfection!

We loved this winter get-away; off-season is a great time to explore and hike. We also kayaked and did a polar plunge off the boat dock! (They have a ladder, which helps for chilled adventurers).
The kitchen is well equipped, and we baked & cooked extensively. Huge fridge/freezer, so you can pack in all your meals (eat at Walt’s Pizza in Marion. Superb).
Hosts we responsive, brought over firewood upon request; they have skewers, so bring hot dogs & S’Mores.
We will return again!

We enjoyed our stay and the place was clean and cozy. There are a lot of stair and not a lot to do in the fall and winter. I'd love to come back in the spring and summer months. Thanks for having us!

This was the 2nd time we stayed at a property owned by Heather and Jeff. 1st time was at Eagles Nest, and while names were familiar it was the business card that confirmed this. (I've now saved their 3rd property to my wish list.)
Place was perfect for us, very clean and comfortable. No problem with anything. Loved the light switch labels. Beds were very comfortable. Even enjoyed some time outside on the cool November weekend.

House was clean and well stocked with towels, blankets, kitchen utensils, etc. very quiet and peaceful. As others have said a lot of stairs to dock. Would go back.
Things to note : jetted tub doesn’t work/leaks so there’s only showers and horseshoe drive would hold several cars but you can’t get around each other.

We had a wonderful stay. Fabulous hikes 15 min drive. Well-equipped. Extremely clean and tidy little cabin. Fantastic deck, dock, and firepit. Easy and responsive host!

We stayed in this cabin on the lake hoping to fish, relax and enjoy southern Illinois fall colors, wine trail and Shawnee National Forest. The cabin was beautiful and everything we expected. The neighborhood was the only downfall as it was a maze to get to the property and had to do a lot of careful driving on short, curvy, bumpy and hilly roads to get to the cabin within the neighborhood. Only other forewarning is that there are many steps to get down to the dock and back up. Totally worth it though and great property, would definitely stay here again!

We chose this place for it's awesome location between all the great climbing areas, the lake view, and room for all the kids. It's no more than 45 mins from all the great climbing spots: Gaint City, Ferne, Holy Boulders, and Jackson. Lake Egypt is very quite. Beautiful in the fall. Hoping to come back in the spring for our next family climbing trip.

Enjoyed the view of the lake from the cabin. Had all the amenities we needed inside plus we used the kayaks, fire pit & fished off the dock outside. Drove 1/2 hour to beautiful blue sky winery for an afternoon & visited ferne clyffe park 15mins away for a short hike before we headed home. Had an absolutely beautiful weekend.

What a fabulous place. This was our annual girl's weekend.
Wanted to try new place, We were so lucky, everything was absolutely spotless. The property owners were amazing. Heather met me at check in friendly and helpful. We have already decided to go back next year and stay longer. If I could, I would give it 10 stars. Beautiful place,furniture and view.

Great place on Lake of Egypt. Close to wine trail and hiking. Jeff was fantastic to work with and even took us out for a sunset pontoon ride. Great stay! We will be back!

The rooms are nice and large and the main area is huge with great lake views from the large windows and doors in the sun room. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. Would definitely return.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is magnificent and super clean! It is a great house for two families because it is two floors and the lake is right there for swimming! You will not be disappointed in this house! The surrounding area is beautiful so make sure you check it all out!

This was the perfect family getaway. Great for all ages. Plenty of games for indoor fun. Swimming and fishing right off the dock. Boat launch and Dollar General an easy 10-minute drive away. The house itself is one of the cleanest, most well-kept houses we’ve stayed in. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and highly recommend to anyone.

Beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed being able to have a dock that was covered so we could bring our pontoon. It was convenient to float by the dock too. We would stay again!

This house is beautiful inside and out! The lake view from the open floor plan is amazing for the sunrise and spacious enough for everyone to be together. Kitchen and amenities were available and perfect for cooking our meals at the house. The kids and adults enjoyed swimming, fishing, hanging out, and kayaking from the boat dock, which also had an additional slip for our personal fishing boat. We enjoyed the campfire area a couple nights during our stay. The house is close to no wake zones yet a short boat ride to ski and tube areas. Hosts were available for any questions that we had. We would highly recommend and will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Heather & Jeff

A quiet getaway with a great view of the lake. We had a fun time on the kayaks and bonfire with s’mores. Our 3 year old son had fun with the toys and games and wanted to go fishing for the first time. Our host had great communication on check-in and quickly answered questions about local restaurants and grocery stores

We absolutely loved Jeff and Heather’s property. Beautiful view on a beautiful but busy lake (as was expected due to Memorial Day). Kids absolutely slayed the crappie with minnows off the dock which led to days worth of entertainment. Overall communication was excellent and Jeff and Heather were there to help on a propane and ice related situation. Very attentive and welcomed. Great place and would come back!

We had a fun fishing trip and the house was perfect. First rate accommodations, boat dock and setting! Large open kitchen & dinning area with a great view of the lake. Host’s Jeff and Heather made our check in easy and our stay very enjoyable.

The house was perfect for our spring break getaway. So many beautiful hiking opportunities just a short drive from the house. Giant city, fern clyffe and tunnel hill were some of our favorites. Waking up to the beautiful views of lake of Egypt was the cherry on top.

We had the most relaxing weekend at Heather’s house on Lake of Egypt. The view was beautiful! The house was perfect for our family of 5. We spent so much time out on the deck enjoying the beautiful view of the Lake, roasting s’mores over the fire, and kayaking. Heather was so accommodating when we had an emergency and had to change the dates of our trip. The communication was great and the house had everything we needed for the weekend. We already booked another trip for September so we can enjoy the Lake!
