Overall the experience was good… it was out first time at this property and we go to Deep Creek at least 2 times a year. Some of the amenities need updated…. The foose ball was broken. The air hockey table was broke. And no useable pool sticks for either pool table. The mixer in the kitchen did not work. The dryer would not dry out clothes until my husband pulled it out and cleaned the vent hose. The back deck was so dirty and overgrown we had to sweep the dirt and moss off it to keep from tracking it into the hot tub.

We take our children and grandchildren to DC Lake every summer. We try different homes and different areas. We were very pleased with the home and the layout. The pool was a huge hit, and the mini golf and tennis courts were right next to us. The boys enjoyed golf and fishing at the pond, which was very well stocked. We would stay again

overall the location was great,some items listed weren`t provided, iron, futon and computer in loft.House wasnt handicap acessiable, steps leading out to hot tub was too steep, lighting very deem,fire pit by hot tub has a hole at the bottom causing itims to fall out.The property needs alot of updating.

6 adults and 6 children were in attendance and we were so glad we found this property! The pool was definitely the main factor we choose this rental. The kids were in it every chance they got. The house is huge and sleeping arrangements were no problem at all. We all got to enjoy the golf course, mini golf, tennis courts, the fishing spot, the hot tub, but mostly the pool. Our only minor complaint was we couldn't find the crock for the crock pot. Would definitely recommend for a large group. Our 5 day stay was great, we all had a blast!

Beautiful property inside and out, clean and well maintained, stocked up kitchen, lots of extra amenities, in a calm neighborhood, and just a short 10-15 minute drive to activities. The indoor pool was a huge bonus.

I stayed here in 2014 with extended family and was excited to stay again this year when we found it available. the place was exactly as I remembered, beautiful and spacious - loved the pool and hottub, but there were some details that left a lot to be desired. there is some wear and tear throughout the house that needs attention. also we had planned to have friends over to watch the Super Bowl. THANKFULLY we cancelled because we were not feeling well, as we would have been very embarrassed how the tv kept freezing and glitching and the few of us there ended up watching in one of the bedrooms. Also, one of the two beds in the upstairs corner rooms was missing, but luckily no one extra ended up staying. So, overall - a beautiful home that needs some TLC. The host was great at communicating with us, and one of the things she couldn't possibly control is the noise level in the area. We didnt mind the cute family right next door, however someone in the area was playing music so loud at 2 am that we thought they were on our porch or in the hottub. it ended up being across the way and with no noise ordinance, there was nothing that could be done about it. I personally prefer a more private secluded place when paying so much for a rental Just my 2 cents.

This house needs a thorough deep cleaning, especially the kitchen area. The house layout was not as expected, we thought from the pics that there was a family room below the main level but it was all on the main level. The bedroom on the main floor was really not a bedroom, it was an extension off the family room with a sliding room divider. The host was very accessible and replied timely to some issues we had with the pool.

The property had a great location, however, both inside and outside need some TLC, The living area was great and and the side porch was great for relaxing. We had 6 children over the age of 4 so there were no appropriate glasses and they didn’t understandably want to use toddler cups. We had exactly 12 plates so it was a constant dishwashing.

Upon arrival our family was just blown away by the home! The kitchen was perfect for making our family of 12 meals. There was plenty of space for each of us to have our own bedroom and bathroom. The outdoor patio and deck were lovely to have coffee on and have a fire in the evening. Our children so enjoyed the games in the garage, the mini golf next door, and the quietness of the neighborhood so they could ride their bikes to their hearts delight! The kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils and dishes and appliances. If you think you need to bring it - think again they have it! The state park was a quick drive down the road and there was a lovely self serve firewood stand so we could stick for the evening. The pool was an added plus for us to swim around in the evenings! The alarm for the pool was added saftey and peace of mind for our kids who could have swam all night. The hot tub is placed nicely on the back patio but was not incredibly clean and smelled a little funky but still enjoyable. Look no further, this is the perfect rental for your family!

Our group of 7 (4 adults, two toddlers and an infant) had an awesome time at this place! the house was exactly as advertised with plenty of space for the kids to run around. The pool was clean and a great temp and the kids didn’t want to get out. Hot tub was so nice to enjoy after the kids had gone down for the night. Easy drive to get to Wisp, restaurants, etc. Would stay here again and bring a few more friends or family!

Everything was fine except the room where the pool was located was like a Sana very uncomfortable and way to hot to enjoy. The water in the pool was also hot not able to enjoy the swimming pool. Very disappointed the pool was the primary reason we rented this property. We only went in the pool for a total of 1 hour the entire time there. The hot tub water was not as hot as the pool water. We did enjoy the hot tub.

We really enjoyed staying here. We had kids that ranged from 5-13 and it was perfect. The pool was great, the putt putt and tennis/pickle ball courts were close. Felt very safe to let the kids run around while we could be at the house and watch over them. It was fun because some of us grew up playing tennis and we had a tennis clinic going. Lots of open space.
We had a whiffle ball home run derby going between kids and adults. For the golfers, hole 1 was close for a very nice 9 hole par 3 course.
We did have some issues with the hot tub, but someone came over that day and fixed it and it was all good for that night.
The only thing that was missing was a basketball hoop. We love our sports.
We would definitely recommend and come back.

Not what we expected
The property was not waterfront. No access to the lake from this house. Golfing was great. Would have loved being able to see the lake. Had to drive to be able to see it. Think the pool and hot tub should have been checked midweek to see it the chemicals were good.

Swanton MD Residence
We stayed at this home in Swanton, Maryland for a get together for a group of late 30's guys who live all over the country. Deep Creek/Swanton was a logistical choice and we were all pleased with making it.
The home was clean and as advertised by the pictures. There are seven beds and one futon in one of the bedrooms, so there was some bunking up, but the home is large enough, and with enough bathrooms, that it never felt like we were on top of one-another. The home is stocked with glassware, plates and cutlery. The grill is hooked up to a gas line and served its purpose wonderfully. The home boasts a very nice shaded deck with seating, and a second stone patio facing a pond to the rear of the home.
When we arrived on Friday at 4pm, the pool was out of commission, as that room apparently has a second AC unit and the compressor may have shut off. I spoke with the Manager Donna, who was wonderfully helpful, and she sent their maintenance manager Jeremy over who was able to sort out the problem. Didn't really end up using the pool much, but I think that those who did thought it was a fantastic perk. Donna and Jeremy deserve major credit, as they spent their Friday afternoon making sure this was corrected for us and it was much appreciated.
The amenities at this location were great. The community is beautiful, neighbors friendly (little kids even selling lemonade) and the golf course was an asset to this group. Everyone on the course was patient and willing to chat us up. Didn't end up using any of the kayaks, putt-putt or other amenities, but can say they are there for you if you would like. This location was great for a group of guys or your family.
The home is not far from what I am guessing is the "town" of Deep Creek. We rented a bus to come get us on our one night out and I think it was at most a ten minute drive. Some of the guys had stated they had stayed farther away from the town in the past and it was not as ideal.
All together we had a great trip that was made possible by the great team of Matti, Donna and Jeremy. I thank them and encourage you to consider this location as a stay for you and your family/friends when visiting Western, MD.

The community is very nice with lots of activities, something for everyone! There was an issue with the pool alarm when we arrived. The owner was very responsive. An alarm company arrived quickly and resolved the problem.

Guys golf trip
Overall good experience. Property worked well for us and accommodated our group nicely. Location to the par 3 course on site was a blast. House shows wear consistent with a rental and could use some updating regarding kitchen and outdoor chairs. That being said it did everything we needed it to do and a lot of great memories were made. Would come back again!

Our family had the best time at this home for Thanksgiving! There is plenty of room for 12 - 14 people. The kids loved the pool and all of the exciting games in the garage. We had a wonderful time. Great location for kids!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The tennis courts and mini golf was directly adjacent to the property which was a huge bonus for us- we could sit on the deck and watch our tween kids play tennis/golf from there. The house had a few minor maintenance issues but was overall very clean and in good condition. We had to drive to a community parking lot to access the lake and the lake was not visible from the property, which was not our expectation, but ended up being fine. The indoor pool seemed clean and well maintained. Thanks for a fun vacation!

Wonderful time at great house
We had a great time. Very wonderful house with great pool that out kid loved. Sadly a lot of local activities were closed the week we went so plan for that, but we look forward to coming back for the ropes course and snow tubing in the area one day. Did enjoy some hikes, seeing the lake, and putt putt - all of which are right near house. A great stay, highly recommend.

Great family vacation
Home was super clean, great location and Matti was easy to work with. The home is older and did have a few broken items and things that def need to be fixed/updated. Despite that the house was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate a family Covid birthday. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely be making it an annual family trip!

Guys Getaway
I booked this property for myself, a few friends, and our dads as a guys getaway trip. COVID had put a damper on our previous plans so we decided to book a house where we could hang out and not worry about going out. The house was great for us and was perfect to hang in the pool, playing darts in the garage, and playing pool in the living room. The whole house surround sound was a great bonus we did not know about! Thanks for the great house Matti!

Very Nice Home!
This home was very nice & comfortable for our family trip. The two master bedrooms were really large and great spaces. All the bathrooms were very nice and updated. It was great that there was an extra refrigerator in the garage for additional food storage. Loved the hot tub! The indoor pool was great although the pool liner needed some attention and did not look appealing, but it was nice that there was a note explaining why it was discolored and that it wasn't dirty. The kitchen was fully equipped and well stocked with necessary items. The outdoor gas grill was very convenient and a nice addition. Overall my family was very pleased with the accommodations, location, and the ambiance.
