Beautiful view. Less lake noise than expected.Inside worked well for a family stay age 30-87 with 2 dogs. Quite a few steps to enjoy the outside...gave the 87 year old pause, but joined us anyway. Just a good place to hang out.

What a perfect place to stay. We felt at home immediately. The layout was perfect for a girls weekend. We loved the cozy fireplace and watching the sunrise through the large windows. We drank our coffee on the deck and the dogs loved playing in the lake. It was close to TC but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. We loved it.

This updated cottage from the 1950's allowed for our desired access to the water (even my 91-year-old father was able to easily get down to the dock with just a little help for balance). We were bummed that the pontoon wasn't available but kept our jet ski right there. The views from the cottage and deck were outstanding! Our family (2 parents, 1 grandparent, and 3 early 20's) could've used a second full bathroom, but having the half bath helped. The pullout couch/porch area was also a helpful additional bedroom area. I appreciate the old time cottage scent, but the family room and porch furniture need a good steam cleaning. The decks and dock were well furnished and provided a choice of sun or shade. The property owner was quick to respond to our communication. Nice neighbors, great fishing off the dock, just outside of downtown, too. Looking for an updated old school cottage with an amazing view? This is your place!

This cabin is so homey, you’ll feel like it’s your second home! Everything is well taken care of and the view is spectacular! The neighbors are friendly too! Would 10/10 stay here again! The house has everything you need, so when they say fully stocked, believe it!

The lake was gorgeous, and the area is a beautiful area to visit in the Fall. The cottage is huge, modern, cozy and has a beautiful view to the lake. Curl up by the fire, or out by the fire pit outside, you can't help but relax.

I am so greatful that I chose this beautiful lake house for my stay in Traverse City for my daughters wedding. The minute you walk through the front door the view takes your breath away. The lakehouse is absolutely gorgeous, comfy and welcoming and the host/owner Nikki is attentive, welcoming and forthcoming with every detail. If you're ever in Traverse City vacationing, this place can't be beat for your stay!

Short 5 day get away to fish, golf, see the sights. Close to Traverse City and shopping, yet you feel like you are alone on lake. Lake is chrystal clear. Pontoon boat rental option is awsome. Great place to chill. Furniture is fine but could use an update.

We had an amazing time. The homes here are very close together, but the way this cottage is set back from the road makes it feel more private. It was nice and quiet all week, so having closer neighbors wasn’t an issue at all! It’s a bit off the beaten path if you want to go to restaurants/activities in Traverse City (about a 20-30 minute drive), but if the weather is nice there is really very little need to leave the cottage! Spacious and open concept layout. We loved that it is dog friendly so we could bring our pups too! Would definitely stay here again!!!

Crazy cute. Lake was peaceful and quiet. Decor was charming. Beds were comfortable. Loved the deck and the added propane fire pit.
House could have used some more attention to cleaning. Comforter in my room was nothing short of disgusting, hair (pet and human) all over the underside which made us question how well things were cleaned. Found an antidepressant script bottle and pills under the dresser. Bedding was washed with fabric softener that was scented which caused my mother who is allergic issues. Was promised kayaks and up boards, had exchanged messages with the owner about them. They were not out and available. Owner did provide basement keypad code for us to get out ourselves. Very cute lights on the back deck, issue was they were on a sensor and on all night which lighted up one of the bedrooms.
I would stay here again, but was disappointed with the items I mentioned. Location was great. Saw large fish swimming in the lake from the deck. Just wish more attention was paid to house keeping items.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cute cabin on the lake. It was spacious, nicely decorated and very well stocked with everything you need. The location is perfect for activities in the Traverse City area It worked perfect for our group of 5 adults. Can’t wait until we can come again!

The cottage was well appointed with lots of linens, a fully stocked kitchen, and lots of extra touches to make it feel homey. The view was incredible and the beds were comfortable. The host was really responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend.

We loved this spot! Beautiful 3 bedroom cottage with great views. It’s cozy and well stocked. The open floor plan was perfect to cook New Years Dinner and just relax with family. 5 stars!!!

This cottage was so well decorated and comfortable. The 2 level deck had nice lounging furniture and views of the lake. Easy to check in and quick response from the owner. A great place to spend a relaxing week but close enough to traverse city for dinner out and shopping.

This lake house was perfect for our stay. Very easy check in and check out. It was very well equipped. And just overall an amazing stay. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting Spider Lake. The Host, Nikki was a great communicator and very kind. We absolutely loved the stay and hope to come back.

This was a very cozy, clean, well stocked lake home. The view was incredible, we already want to go back. Nikki, the owner was very quick to respond to our questions. Fishing was great right off the dock. We didn't use the pontoon since the weather was chilly, but it looked very new and clean. The home is a short drive to everything in TC, and surrounding areas. This was one of our favorite vacations, with the lake home at the center of it.

We had a great week long stay and spent lots of time curled up inside by the fireplace due to the weather. It was a quick drive to TC for some shopping and dinner, but it was so, so quiet and peaceful. My favorite spot to park it was in the sun room with a book where I could look out over the lake at the passing boats, ducks and other birds that swam there. We had an otter visit from the lake one evening and lots of squirrels playing in the tree tops. We will definitely be back here!

This property is fantastic, the pictures don’t do it justice. The cottage was bigger than it appeared in the photos, and had everything we needed. The owner was very quick to respond to inquiries. We had a great time and look forward to returning in the future.

What a beautiful lake in the home was great! We were on Traverse City for my sons State Hockey Tournament. We had our dog with us and needed to find a place close enough to the rink/town. This was it! The pictures don’t do it justice, it was just such a great place and had everything that we needed that we forgot to bring. The owner accommodated us at last minute and it was so appreciated. Very communicative with us and allowed our dog to stay. Very pleased. A++

This property was wonderful! It was well-equipped, clean and comfortable. The decor was very cozy, and the views of the lake were fantastic. I especially loved the back sunroom with its three walls of windows. Great for enjoying the sunrise and a cup of coffee. The living areas and kitchen were clean and had plenty of space to move around in. The bedrooms were decent sized and had great closet space. Also, the bathrooms were extremely clean and well stocked, and all proper Covid precautions were taken. All communication sent from Nikki was informative and thorough; it was a pleasure renting from her. I really loved our vacation spent here, and I can’t wait to come back!

Our family of four (2 adults+2 teenage boys) stayed with our dog, Ellie to enjoy outdoor winter in TC. The home was perfect for our trip - clean, comfortable, and a well-appointed kitchen. We enjoyed some winter hiking, learned the sport of Curling, visited a few wineries, and went skiing. We already talked about how lovely it would be to rent in the summer, too!

We love this beautiful home. Such a treat to be able to wake up and see the lake just steps from the house. This home had everything we needed, plenty of space. Our kids enjoyed the pull out couch in the room overlooking the lake. We used the kayaks for a quick spin on the lake. We would love to come back when it’s warmer! About 15 mins drive to TC and we felt very cozy on Spider lake...an absolute gem.

The cottage on spider lake was very clean and had a nice cottage feel to it. Easy to relax and look out over the lake. We were here in the fall when it was cold and rainy, but the outdoor space and decks look like they would make for a nice relaxing time outdoors. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will consider staying again in the future.

Love the location of the cottage with spectacular lake view. Super clean cottage with comfortable beds and the kitchen is truly fully stocked. Nikki was a pleasure to work with.
